Thorne Research Meriva 500-SF 60 Capsules
Curcumin Phytosome, 1000mg (Meriva 500-SF) by Thorne Research is a dietary supplement designed to support joint, eye and liver health. The formula contains a patented curcumin extract known as Meriva 500-SF, which is produced using Phytosome technology. This technology increases the bioavailability and absorption of curcumin. Each serving provides 1000mg of curcumin phytosome, offering enhanced therapeutic benefits compared to regular curcumin. The product includes 120 vegetable capsules, each containing a standardized extract of curcumin bound to phosphatidylcholine from sunflower lecithin, ensuring a soy-free formulation. This composition helps reduce joint inflammation and promote healthy liver function by enhancing the body's antioxidant defenses. Meriva 500-SF has undergone clinical studies showing its effectiveness in improving joint mobility and reducing discomfort associated with inflammation. It is also designed to support visual and liver health by modulating inflammatory pathways and oxidative stress responses. Curcumin, a bioactive compound from turmeric, is recognized for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. However, it typically has low bioavailability when consumed alone. The Phytosome technology utilized in Meriva 500-SF enhances the curcumin's absorption, allowing for greater efficacy at lower dosages. Thorne Research employs rigorous testing to ensure product purity and potency, meeting the highest standards for quality and safety. This supplement is free from gluten, dairy, soy, and artificial preservatives. It is recommended for use under the guidance of a healthcare practitioner.

There are many proven benefits of curcumin. I used to think that taking turmeric was enough, but to experience the full benefits of this natural superfood, one really must invest in curcumin (which is the 'active' part of turmeric). Thanks to Physician's Choice I am experiencing those benefits. Curcumin dramatically increases the antioxidant capacity of our blood and also helps reduce symptoms of inflammation. There have been studies that suggest curcumin not only prevents, but can fight some types of cancer! This is a FOOD supplement : meaning we are using natural nutrition and healing (as opposed to pharmaceutical products created by an industry that's known to deliberately create more issues with customers for profit. These pills are easy to take, easy to swallow and I noticed no negative side effects (such as heartburn). Physician's choice uses standardized extracts: what this means is that we can expect uniform quality and potency from bottle to bottle/dose to dose. Being made in the USA is also a credit to this product because of the United States' high legal standards of quality. Another unexpected credit is that since I started taking this curcumin twice a day I've noticed a bit of an uplift in my mood. Many people, love myself and my family, are waking up to the benefits of looking to nature and her remedies for the issues that we struggle with and cause us problems. I am so glad I found one of those amazing and beneficial (not to mention 'natural') supplements to my daily routine. I plan to continue and make curcumin part of my daily regime. If you ever happen to find someone who balks at a product for 'not being FDA approved' - remind them that FDA approves products for industries that pay handsomely for approval, and we don't need a sellout 'watchdog' group to tell us if something works when there are numerous independent studies and countless personal testimonies to the efficacy of curcumin. OH, and one last thing: curcumin has been found to slow the cellular aging process. Anything that will reduce (or even turn back) the aging process is a definite must-have in today's world.

THE BEST FORM OF CURCUMIN! This is the only turmeric supplement I will buy, recommended through my naturopathic dr. I buy the biggest bottle and take two a day for inflammation in my gut. This stuff is the best quality. I know this as my armpits start smelling like turmeric after taking them 😂 everyone should be on a small does for maintenance but if you ever feel pain (headaches/ PMS) you can take them in stead of panadol…! It’s truly amazing

Just 2 weeks after taking Meriva 500-SF twice daily (morning & evening) I have noticeable joint improvement, less body aches and pain, reduced inflammation, more flexibility and therefore have felt much benefit. As a peri-menopausal women aged in my early 50s who was feeling a lot older due to feeling stiff and sore, I am grateful to have discovered Thorne supplements which seem to be working for me. Delivery was good, package arrived safely/undamaged, capsule has no taste that I detect and I believe quality ingredients make for the effectiveness I have felt. Reading other's reviews before purchasing helped me to decide on the purchase of Thorne products. Feeling like my younger self again!

I’ve been taking this supplement for almost a year which my chiropractor originally told me about to help with inflammation. Well as an unintended consequence, this stuff has been THE BEST at treating my psoriasis. It is heaven sent for sure! Now peeps, there is another form of this supplement (Meriva without the 500) that worked to help with 50/60% of my psoriasis, but this formula is much better. Specifically, I take 3 pills per day and I kid you not, have had 90-95% improvement. But you must take it daily! Don’t skip or your patches will reappear!!
When you delve into researching curcumin, the name of the game is trying to get it to absorb into your body so it can use it. If you’re here good, you’ve already gotten past that turmeric is not what is good for you, it’s the 3% of it that which is curcumin. And that, is really hard for our bodies to absorb. It’s just the nature of the beast (like B12 suppliments, B12 injections work much much better). I digress.. so these guys have tweaked their product to absorb better, and that’s what you’re paying for. They add pepper (piperine) which helps, and others add this too - never buy one that doesn’t include it, ever). But they also have some extra tweak for absorption. In 2012 I had an amazing NYU Dr who is now in New York times best seller, really knows her stuff. ... MoreWhen you delve into researching curcumin, the name of the game is trying to get it to absorb into your body so it can use it. In 2012 I had an amazing NYU Dr who is now in New York times best seller, really knows her stuff. When I saw her, among many other things for brain support, she told me about curcumin, and how turmeric is a waste of time. So I’ve taken it before, and as with many supplements, you sort of fade them out if you stop feeling their affect. Recently I read about chronic encephalitis which I have to a degree, and it got me back interest in curcumin. I was amazed that in two days I could start feeling this product. I am super duper sensitive though. And I have a chronic nervous system issue so my battle has been long and diverse in trying anything I can get my hands on to help me feel better and my brain to work close to as good as it used to. Anyway, so if your serious about curcumin, really need it’s brain support, or money isn’t an issue, this is a very good product.
I've taken other supplements over the years and always thought- well they might not do much but they can't hurt. I have arthritis in my hands, and my left ankle is very stiff and sore most of the day- the doctor isn't sure why. My brother recommended this supplement, and after taking it for over a week I can notice the difference. My ankle is much less sore and I have a lot more mobility. And my hands are not as stiff. Love this stuff!
I’ve been using Meriva for a few years. Initially I purchased this because my Integrated Physician suggested it would help with inflammation and an extruded disc at C5. It helped do quickly that I decided to continue it as part of my daily routine. I use 4 Thorne Meriva capsules immediately with a 250ml glass of water if in pain. If that hasn’t helped enough an hour later I will repeat. This has always helped with pain, even severe pain but you do need to take more than listed on the bottle. I’d rather take this than Ibuprofen or Tylenol because those 2 medications help with pain but while doing so deplete Glutathione (your master antioxidant) so you end up with another problem!
I used to use turmeric in my morning drink concoction for its anti-inflammatory benefit until I learned most of the turmeric (even organic) coming from India had lead added to it to enhance the color. I did the little test to see if mine had it in it and...sure enough it did. This product was recommended to me by Viome company that does "gut" testing and I've started using it for its anti-inflammatory properties. It has made a difference in pain in my knees and seems to be helping my thumb joints as well. Easy to swallow and not filled with a lot of fillers like other supplements can be.
I recently tried Thorne's Curcumin Phytosome and wanted to share my thoughts. The 120 capsule bottle provided a good supply. The capsules were easy to swallow and had no noticeable taste or aftertaste. However, in terms of its effectiveness, it's challenging to determine the direct impact on my overall health or inflammatory response within a short period. While Thorne is a reputable brand known for quality supplements, I did not notice any immediate or significant changes. Individual responses may vary, so it's advisable to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized guidance when considering curcumin supplementation. #Thorne #CurcuminPhytosome
They work to relieve joint pain caused by inflammation. How do I know this? I stopped using them for a few months and noticed the pain returned, then I started using them again and the pain stopped. Much cheaper and no side effects compared to pharma meds. Highly recommend when most illnesses start out as inflammation.
