This rice cooker is the best rice cooker ever. I love it so much. When it gets dirty cleaning it won’t be a problem. It has so many functions to use. I don’t need to worry about making a lunch or dinner. I can make rice and still enjoy it everyday.
I have an older Tiger rice cooker which I had for 22 years!!! The only reason I had to give it up is bcuz being an empty nester less rice to cook. So I purchase cheap kinds and they were cheap! The quality of cooking or steaming was really bad! I realised I need to go back to Tiger brand! I know it'll last me for a very long time. It has different features of steaming as well , doesn't overcook your food.
I had a Panasonic also bought from Newegg few years back have the inside of pot peeled the coating.this one cost more than double, made in Japan have better quality, let's see.
It's ok, i find that my rice comes out hard though i follow measurements. I have used rice cookers all my life. I think it's too expensive for my rice not to cook perfectly. But i enjoy the keep warm, it stayed warm for several hours.

I tried making porridge, but I guess I will need to adjust the amount of water to make the thickness that I like.A few things that I don't like about this rice cooker:1. The time shown is in 24-hr format2. When you cook rice, it doesn't show how much time left until done. Only when it gets to 5 minutes left, then it starts counting down.3. The door to the rice pot swings hard. When you press down the lever, the door swings back fast and hard that the whole unit jumps.4. The legs of the unit are slippery so it moves on the counter very easily. I was thinking about buying a 3 cups or 5.5 cups, and I'm glad that I bought a 5.5 cups. It's perfect for my household (2ppl). Packaging was good and there's was no damage. Works as I expected and rice is delicious! It came with the steamed container so you can cook a rice and other stuff on top on rice, which is very efficient and convenient.
