Best Floor Cleaner EVER

Over the last 10 years I have had multiple Hoover and Bissel hard floor cleaners. The hoovers have been haphazard on quality but the price point is low. Crosswave was similar performance wise to the Hoover but more expensive, it lasted about a year. Two months ago, I bought the newest model of Hoover (my old one broke again) and it was the biggest piece of junk I have ever bought. Cleans Well, Mine Had Battery Issues

We have been using steam mops to clean our tile floors for years, but all they seemed to do was smear dirt and grime around the floor. Some of the dirt sticks to the pads, but a lot of it does not.This is where the Tineco really shines, sucking up dirty water. My floors looked notably cleaner after running the S5 over them compared to our Shark spinning steam mop that only scrubs.Overall, I really liked this product, but I ran into a few issues that caused me to replace it under Best Buy 24-month warranty.1) The battery life was not long enough to clean our entire home. We have about 2500-2700 square feet of tile downstairs, and this would not get through it all on a single charge.2) Charging is painfully slow. This in itself is fine if the device can recognize that the battery is draining, and the base can recharge it while sitting idle.If I charge the device to 100% battery and then take it off of the charger for 2 weeks, it will still report that it has 100% battery on the display even though it does not. If I put it back on the charger it will say it's at 100% and won't charge it. The problem is when you try to clean the onboard computer will start to realize the battery is not fully charged and instead of your battery trickling down as you clean, it will start to rapidly drain 1% every 2 seconds. The device ends up dead after just 4-5 minutes of cleaning.This may have been a defect isolated to my unit or could be an inherent issue with the device itself. I've seen a few other reviews complain about this. Tineco support was helpful, but expects you to box up the device and all accessories so it can be sent back to them (they pay for the label only). The Best Buy warranty was a better value here, I was able to take it into the store and do a no questions asked exchange for another model.I'm going to give the Tineco S5 Steam a try because it's corded and won't have battery issues, but still has the same great cleaning technology of the S5 Extreme.

Exactly What I needed, steam, brush, clean and dirty tanks, quite fast.

I have used it 4 times in two weeks on hard flor tiles. I have two floors, each 50sqm (~500 sqf), a cat so I vaccum (with a Dyson V10) at least once every day and I don't rely on the Tineco to vaccum even if it can. It takes me less than 45 minutes to clean including cleaning the Tineco.I like:* The steam comes in really fast, only a minute and that it. I don't need to wait many minutes for some pressure to go down when I refill the clean water tank.* I was surprised that the Tineco moves by itself (because of the brush I guess) and that's pretty pleasant.* the tanks are really fast to clean, even the brush, the self cleaning feature does almost all the job and there not much to do afterwards.* the power cord is long enough to avoid plug/unplug many times.* I ... MoreI have used it 4 times in two weeks on hard flor tiles. Whenever you go outside this angle and in again (which happens at lot of times because you move), the Tineco tells you to wait for the steam to heat. This is annoying, there should be some kind of hysteresis around this angle value, this can be solved by software update. To overcome this I simply use the "shut up" button.

Fell out of love with this VERY quickly!

At first I was pretty excited to receive this item. It seemed amazing, cleaning and vacuuming in one step! Also, the fact that it can go anywhere, and does not need to be plugged in. However, after one month of use, the reality is that it is a pain in the neck (or other body part as you might prefer!). The dirty water tank must be emptied quite often, and where exactly do you empty dirty water with bits of stuff in it that have been vacuumed up? Not in the sink with garbage disposal because the little bits will gum up/break the disposal. Not down the regular sink because, again, little bits of stuff might clog the plumbing. So, that leaves the toilet...gross...plus, little tiny Lego bits, dog fur, etc, might clog the toilet as well. Maybe if it just cleaned, but did not vacuum, it would be better.

Get a Swiffer wet jet and a regular hard floor vac

This vacuum is great if you want to vacuum with average section and worse cleaning efficiency than a Swiffer wet jet. Also if you love spending more time emptying out a disgusting water tank and trying to keep the thing clean then actually cleaning your house it's even better. In all seriousness this is not worth the money do not buy it. Get a Swiffer wet jet and get a nice hard floor vacuum for half the price and live your life. On the off chance none of that is sounding too terrible it does work pretty well on completely flat flooring. Mind you if you have fake hardwood or any type of tile it is useless. Also it literally will never stop talking and the app that you're supposed to use to sync to your phone doesn't work and I have tried all the troubleshooting options online. It also claims to have a auto detect cleaning auto detect dirty water tank emptying auto detect when the floor is More dirty and none of it works properly it's all a gimic. It will automatically tell you to run the cleaning cycle every time you put it on the station no matter what it is obviously just a programmed thing that it says not actually something it's detecting whether it's dirty or not. And it will even tell you to empty the dirty water tank even when the dirty water tank is not installed at all so obviously just something again it is programmed to say every time you put it on the base station.

Okay but needs improvement

I have had my tineco since November 2020. I have 4 kids, 1 Boxer and 2 long haired cats. I run my roomba daily to help with pet hair and I use my Tineco 1-2x a day or more. I like a clean floor and so after watching many videos online I decided to give in. I loved it so much initially but like others said if you have pets beware. The days the roomba is lost and Dosent get to pre-sweep will cause a clog in the Tineco and I know it as soon as I have streaks in the middle. I generally will stop unclog and keep going. I can clean my entire bottom floor in about 30 minutes and 3-4 DWT emptys . (1500ish sqft) we have a combo of tile and LVP. 4/6 of our family are girls and wee to like the animals shed. I will say this is not a cleaning tool for people who clean 1x a week or for stuck on gunk. It will not clean your floor or pick up the gunk. Tinico says you have to use their cleaner or you void something in the fine print. When I purchased mine they were sold out of the cleaner everywhere for a long time and that was quite frustrating. Just remember to clean out the tank or it will get FuNKY and the next run will smell your whole house. Im not sure if the age of the product or if its humidity in my area but my device wont charge or register its on the base. I noticed both were rusted. Seems like if the product is made to be wet and get wet it would have a better safe guard or protection for the areas that should not get wet.

I am afraid overtime the front will become damaged or just end up looking banged up and scratched.

Yep I got one

So I saw this baby on a YouTube video and decided I needed one in my life. I bought it and assembly was easy and once I decided where to put the charging base it was smooth sailing. I waited for it to charge and was quickly vetoed by the wife when I was scheming about what to throw all over the floor like the video I saw. I will say this sucker cleans floors, however I do wish the battery lasted longer. That being said it's plenty to get most of my house without having to recharge.I think the biggest battery drain is the coolest feature. It tells you when it's dirty and asks you to put it on the base and run a cleaning cycle! Run that and empty and clean the tank and your ready for next time. You can really feel the suction when you turn it on, but it is not hard to move. It is very easy to maneuver and will fit under my cabinets to get those hard to reach places. One thing to be aware of is the roller, it does not go all the way across. Not a huge deal just run it with the side that does go all the way to the edge against whatever you are cleaning and it gets clean. It really does clean the floors but prepare yourself. I tried it on what I felt was a relatively clean floor and was disgusted by what this got up. So well worth the purchase. It also talks to you and tells you what mode you have it in or when you need to run a clean cycle. So if you were a nightrider fan as a kid and can not afford your own Kit, this is a close second and doesn't take gasoline.
