I went hunting for a new serrated knife and I came across this one. Lots of reviews stating how amazing this knife is. I didn't really believe it but thought well might as well try it.Well I got it and I tried it... It is the best serrated knife I have ever used (so far) and that's is not coming from just me. The excellent salesperson (sorry, I didn’t get his name) was extremely helpful in laying out the pros and cons of the various knives. After asking about the types of bread we typically cut, he highly recommended this one for its long lasting quality, longer blade length, and reasonable price. It cuts so smoothly and easily. Overall, this is the best serrated knife I have used in my 35 years. For reference, I am an avid home cook, not a professional. My usual knives are a 27cm Tanaka Gyuto or a 16cm Zakuri. Serrated knives so far have been mostly ikea or inherited. This knife is comfortable to grip, absurdly sharp and well thought through. The angles between handle and blade allows even my size 13 hands to fit between the grip and cutting board. The blade is sharp all the way down, even the non-serrated part directly in front the handle is sharpened. An absolute joy to use.
I was introduced to nightwear about a year ago best company in Calgary. I love my knives. They are the best knives I have ever owned. The staff takes the time to teach you how to Hon your knives to keep a perfect edge. The staff is also very knowledgeable. And very friendly. I felt very welcomed when I first went into knife. I didn’t know much about these type of knives, and they were very and answered all my questions.I gave knife a five starWouldn’t shop anywhere else for knives. Excellent knife. Used on a French loaf, combined of serrated blade and curve of the blade allowed me to cut the loaf with ease.Price point is surprisingly low.
I bought this knife on a whim because I have gotten into making my own bread. I really wanted the ceramic honing rod because I have several Japanese style high carbon knives already and I enjoy sharpening. I wanted the honing rod to try deburring on the ceramic rod versus my normal debur on the stone and then strop method. This knife however has also made cutting into fresh baked bread very enjoyable.
Great knife . Works fantastic. My only small complaint is that the steel had a small blemish (dark spot) on it brand new. It does not affect the performance. However it is just the visual I guess that kinda bugs me.
It’s sharp, but it’s uncomfortable to hold. The handles fit and finish is not good. The metal is sharp and not flush. It’s really bad. I get this is only a $90USD knife, but it’s also a $90USD knife and it shouldn’t have a handle sharper than a Walmart knife. Maybe I got a dud?
Wow! I’ve owned two of the top rated bread knives by ATK over the last 20 years. So, I thought I would treat myself to this upgrade! There is simply no comparison. I have never owned a bread knife that is so amazing. I bake all my own bread, buns, bagels. I’m impressed with how this knife glides through everything. My husband said wow! the first time he sliced up some bread.
