Tom Ford Ébène Fumé Eau De Parfum 100ml

Recently I've been all about the fragrances. I've been trying to get my hands on as many perfume samples as possible, whenever I can. There's a few brands though that have been unattainable to me because of cost, and one of those has been Tom Ford. I had been dying to get my hands on a Tom Ford fragrance, so when I got the chance to try one with one of my latest Sephora orders, I jumped at the chance. It definitely lived up to all the hype too! Something about the earthy scent mixed with rose and leather just captivated my senses and made me feel calm and happy. It may sound kind of cheesy, but it's the truth. It wasn't an overpowering scent, but it was strong enough that it projected a bit and it lasted for a few hours. I don't claim to be any kind of perfume expert by any means, these are just my opinions and observations. It's a classic woods scent from the earthy and woody fragrance family. The key notes are: Palo Santo Wood Accord, Ebony wood accord, and rose. Ébène Fumé merges the purifying essence of Palo Santo with notes of seductive ebony wood, arousing exquisite calm and heightened spiritual luxury. Ébène Fumé conjures transcendent spiritual calm through the mystical essence of Palo Santo smoke- stoked by the warm elegance of citrus absolute, roses, and seductive notes of ebony wood, captured in sleek, sublime notes of leather. About the fragrance: "I wanted a scent that captured a meditative feeling. Ébène Fumé has an almost spiritual sensuality that uplifts your mood... which might be the most seductive indulgence of all"- Tom Ford. I absolutely am in love with this fragrance. I definitely recommend trying it for yourself. It promotes a feeling of calm and happiness that we all need in our lives, if only for a moment.

Cozy, Warm, and Intense

This fragrance is a beautiful balance of spice, smoke, wood, and warmth! I am often skeptical of these kind of notes because they can be very polarizing. This fragrance was love at first whiff! The fragrance is a sweet warm smoke that flatters everyone and is the perfect balance between feminine and masculine notes. I tend to prefer a more feminine fragrance but while I wouldn’t consider this a feminine fragrance, it has certain notes that still really spoke to me. Dark Academia in a scent!!

I was very excited when I received this product to sample because it’s not really a scent I would normally go for, but I have been loving it! It definitely is a deeper, more masculine scent than I normally go for, but I love how complex the scent is. It feels like Dark Academia in a bottle. I love that my boyfriend and I can wear the same scent and it smells different on both of us. I also love mixing it with a few other oils I have to add a deeper element on nights out.It does have a HINT of “typical man cologne smell” that might be reminiscent of a Hollister or Abercrombie scent from my youth, BUT it does have that luxurious feel that always comes with Tom Form products that I don’t feel the scent is too overwhelming. I have tried quite a lot of samples of Tom Ford’s perfumes (I also own one), and I find them all so unique, unique to the point of being a hit or miss. This one is a clear hit to me, but I think that it is not for everyone.PROS:Gorgeous packaging. The bottle and the box it comes in, look so elegant and sophisticated. I received this item complimentary for review! The bottle is aesthetically appealing and looks so beautiful and expensive on my vanity! Overall, I enjoyed this perfume. Even though it is a unisex/genderless scent, it?s not as strong as I had anticipated , which I prefer, and feel like it leans more toward a feminine as opposed to a masculine musky, warm and woody/earthy scent. The woody notes are more pronounced and what you smell more of, making it perfect for fall and winter months. However, I gave it 4 stars because I feel like it was missing something. This would be great for someone who likes a light woody scent but I needed something more. I feel like this perfume will be really nice layered on top of another perfume. Smells like vetiver but way more expensive

I was pleasantly surprised by how much this really does smell like good, natural sandalwood incense. Smoky, peppery, earthy, woodsy - honestly that is ALL I smell. I thought there would be more layers that made it smell like a perfume or cologne, like other TF fragrances, but it really just smells like I mixed some vetiver, sandalwood, and a tiny bit of patchouli essential oils. Which I love, by the way! Au naturale! Unisex if not masc. But if you dig this, do yourself a favor and just go buy some vetiver essential oil! It is heavily used in the fragrance industry as a fixative and it fairly inexpensive. So I got this cologne as part of an incentivized box for an honest review of this cologne. And I was really surprised at how minimal the bottles design is and how it?s clearly designed not to take up a lot of space. Which I really like as most men don?t have a lot of things around their bathroom counters it fits perfectly with that minimal ideal.I had never heard for Tom Ford before so I had no idea what to expect sent wise. But I was incredibly surprised and pleased with the sent, I sprayed a few test spritzers before I sprayed it on my boyfriend so they could see what it smelled like on its own and it?s an incredible outdoorsy, pine forest woodsy sent with a hint of a smoky finish.
