This perfume makes me feel like a beautiful, mysterious woman in a film noir. Some say this perfume is polarizing, but I always get compliments when I wear it. Dark, Bold, Confident

This is the 1st fragrance that pushed me outside of the “crowd pleaser” genre. This is stuff for an occasion. You’re feeling yourself if you wear this. You love it, some others will too, but if anyone doesn’t, that’s fine with you. Black Orchid Parfum is dark, bold, confident, boozy. For a man, this is an all black suit or all black outfit with a leather jacket at a cocktail bar or formal event where you want to stand out. You are NOT wearing this to be understated. The fragrance is earthy from the truffle but with the boozy sweetness of a rum-soaked plum. As for its unisex appeal, I wouldn’t dislike this on a woman, but she would have to be a very certain type of woman to pull this off well.

I was skeptical if I was going to like it but after about an hour I realized that the scent wasn't that strong and overpowering which gives you a headache. Ok, so I blind bought this. I know I know it was crazy but I did. When I first sprayed this on my wrist, I was disgusted. It smelled so bad and it was really strong. Like a medicine grandmother smell. I was glad I only purchased the 1.0oz but still mad because it still was pretty expensive. I was on my way to return it honey. But after about 15-20 mins, it started to smell so good. This scent is sensual, confident, sexy, strong, and delightful. I was sooooo shocked at how the scent changed drastically as time passed and I now totally know what the hype is about. This is such a unique scent, it smells rich and in the short amount of time of me having it, I already fell in love. Very disappointing. I have purchased Black Orchid by Tom Ford

Very disappointing. I have purchased Black Orchid by Tom Ford for several years both from Selfridges and more conveniently for me from MyPerfumeShop. it has always been my favourite perfume. However, this particular time my purchase from MyPerfumeShop has absolutely no smell. I tried it on my skin as usual then on my scarf etc and there is absolutely no scent. My daughter asked me several times why i don't use perfume these days. She tried it on herself and said ' Mother you have paid for a bottle of water' Same bottle as the normal Tom Ford - Black and Gold. Whoever supplied MyPerfumeShop with this item needs looking into. It is too expensive to have no scent at all. I do hope my daughter buys it for Mothers day for me. !
