WARNING known fault on prep machine means they can pack up after a couple of months of use on the cleaning cycle and tommee tippee don’t care or want to know!!!! 😡Received a prep machine before the birth of my daughter and meticulously followed all the cleaning videos and used their filters but at 5 1/2 months of use the water stopped pulling through when I was completing the recommended cleaning cycle and machine smelt like it was burning (very dangerous!) so unplugged and now doesn’t even light up/work. Unfortunately I don’t have a receipt but would have expected given the cost for this item for it to last for the 12 months needed to feed my daughter. Unfortunately I don’t have a receipt but would have expected given the cost for this item for it to last for the 12 months needed to feed my daughter. Called the helpline and because the machine was produced in nov 19, it was out of warranty as has to be within 18 months of production (missed out by 30 days). I was hoping given the age of my child that common sense would prevail and questioned how anyone would physically know how long it’s been sat on a shelf before purchasing as didn’t sound right but they were reluctant to help even though they confirmed it is a known common fault on their prep machine and I could prove the age of my daughter. The best they could do was offer me 15% off a new one on their website (which added salt to the wound as they are priced more there even with the discount then most other retailers and when you’re on SMP you don’t expect to have to shell out a large amount of money again when the item SHOULD work for at least 12 months.) This has naturally caused a lot of upset and distrust in a brand I used to love so asked to escalate this given the known fault (researched this myself afterwards and there are hundreds of reviews on independent websites dating back to 2013 with the same issue!) and was informed on two occasions I would get an email and once that the manager would call me back. I did not receive either and they clearly don’t want to help which is so upsetting as clearly they are a brand that perceive themselves as a quality brand for parents but in reality are a huge let down:Advice is:1. if you want your prep machine to definitely last the 12 months you need it to, do not buy until after the birth of your child (crazy I know but the alternative is to be in the same situation and having to pay twice)2. Keep the receipt- you can definitely not trust this company and that this product will last the 12 months you expect so keep it safe or if you receive it as a gift, make sure you ask for it if possible.

I have one that never worked properly and have gone out of order in less than six months. Since jt was a gift I get no support oe warranty. I bought second as i did not have enough money to go for good brands due to me being hard up. This one also is working erratically and will blow up sooner or later. As long as I live I will hate this company and will keep begging people not to buy their prosucts. Worst quality made in China. Appalling service. Never says sorry or shows genuine empathy for customers. Their baby feeding bottles are useless. My son never used one and they seem to chuck one in with their prosucts. While we all know MUM prosucts are amazing.

A good product as I have used 3 machines over 5 years but my last purchase the lid does not fit properly and the machine does not dispense the correct amount of water. I have a workaround but the quality has depreciated over the years. Lastly, when you run the cleaning mode and decalc a few times either the machine gives up the ghost or does not descale, meaning the red light does not go out and rendering the machine useless. So be prepared to throw out and repurchase, they don't last long.

makes life easier when your child wakes up at night to eat. Within a few seconds, the machine prepares water at the perfect drinking temperature for both babies and larger children. I didn't use it with my first daughter, but with my second daughter I invested and it was the best purchase of my life with a newborn. I recommend it to all mothers who cannot breastfeed, it makes night feeding much easier and you don't have to keep a thermos of cold and warm water. I recommend !
Had one of these with my first child and they are amazing! Save so much time and hassle, literally makes a perfect temperature bottle in a minute instead of faffing around waiting for bottles to cool or warm for ages!Would recommend to every formula parents! We own two - one for our house and one for the grandparents house!Asda baby event gives a good saving and it was the cheapest I could find anywhere!
The long answer: In brief, this machine does exactly what is advertised! An absolute lifesaver for almost instant, correct temperature milk that my baby enjoyed.Sterilising 'shots' are a fantastic feature (and in fact the part of the process that provides the temperature). So - why 3 stars? ZThe longevity of its use became quickly limited. The fact measurements are in fl. oz became increasingly tricky to manage. The milk formula I used required measurements in ml (90 ml, 120 ml, 150 ml, etc.).The lowest setting is 4 fl. oz (113 ml) when my newborn formula needed 90 ml. The next is 5 fl. oz (142 ml) but my next feed stage was at 120 ml. I won't continue but hopefully the general theme is clear! This just meant some playing around by discarding the 'hot shot' for the 90 ml feed, for example.I guess I could probably have watched the water level rise then press the button to stop the machine when the right level was reached. This would mess up the temperature, though (as did dis arsing the 'hot shot'!).The short answer: Good machine but if you have a little more money, spring for the night version of this machine - it not only can be silenced but you can choose to use measurements if either ml or fl. oz.
We purchased the machine when we began to introduce formula feeds at 6 months old - not being used to the time draw that bottle prep can be, we found it a real struggle and the prep machine has been a complete life saver for those 'urgent - feed me now!' bottles and those in the wee small hours. The machine is easy to use and so convenient, but I have no idea why the beep is so much obnoxious - I can only assume to justify having a more expensive machine alternative where you can turn the sound off and on! The adjustable bottle stand height can feel a bit flimsy depending on which bottles you used - we use the bulkier MAM anti colic bottles with the broad base, but they work fine - just make sure the stand is clipper in properly. Filter replacements can be dear but ... MoreWe purchased the machine when we began to introduce formula feeds at 6 months old - not being used to the time draw that bottle prep can be, we found it a real struggle and the prep machine has been a complete life saver for those 'urgent - feed me now!' bottles and those in the wee small hours. The adjustable bottle stand height can feel a bit flimsy depending on which bottles you used - we use the bulkier MAM anti colic bottles with the broad base, but they work fine - just make sure the stand is clipper in properly. Filter replacements can be dear but we shopped around and found a good option. We average 4-5 uses a day of between 5oz and 7oz (includes making water for babies' meals) and haven't yet had an alert to replace the original filter, 2 months in, so I do believe a filter should last the 3 months I've seen advertised, with moderate use. Overall a really strong, tidy product, good value for money if you value having time back to yourself and keeping upset, hungry baby mode at bay.
I originally breastfed, and then began blended feeding with formula. I was awful at timing bottles the old skool way and having crying hungry baby when you’re still going through trauma of birth is not fun! Thankfully my brother reminded me about prep machines very early on and made life so much easier. Very quick to make a bottle, easy to maintain machine use also. Only downside is when the formula is in the bottle eg. 6 scoops, when added 6oz of water it finishes filling at 7oz, however I use MAM bottles not the Tommee tippee one provided.
