I really love this cast iron 10 inch skillet from Lodge! I debated for a long time whether or not purchase one, For me, a purchase like this is about an investment, and I want my investment to last a long time.. I also really like the fact that this is made in the USA. American made products are just not easy to find anymore. But really, the proof in the quality of this cast iron was obvious when i made sweet potato corn bread and baked it in the oven in this skillet. It came out so nice and brown and moist. I'm enclosing pictures, so you can see the nice way it cooked the corn bread on both the top and bottom of the bread. Sorry, the pan in the first picture is a bit oily looking....I had cooked in the pan and then washed and oiled it. I bought this item as we have the Tommee Tippee perfect prep machine. As with all parents hygiene is paramount for your little one. We do combination feeds topping up with bottles so use the machine daily. I've bought other brand filters but found they didn't fit perfectly. These slotted straight in with a tight fit which gives me the assurance the water will be safe for our 4 month old. Definitely recommend worth the extra money.

We have the Tommee Tippee day and night prep machine which can I just say is fabulous. It’s made making bottles easy for the past 7 months since our little boy was born. The filter for the machine is fabulous. As mentioned we’ve been using the machine for 7 months and the machine tells you when it’s time to change the filter. For us it’s been about every 10 weeks. It’s really straight forward to change the filter over and takes minutes. It’s peace of mind knowing the water is being filtered for the bottles as it’s being made. We can just put the water into the machine without thinking of filtering it first as we live in a hard water area. I recommend the machine and filters to everyone I talk to, as it’s definitely the best purchase we made as first time parents.
The Tommee Tippee filters are great for the perfect prep machines. It arrived well packaged in an individually sealed bag and boxed. It was very easy to fit into the machine following the instructions. The water takes a while to run through the filter to be able to use the prep machine, but this suggests to me that it’s doing its job of filtering the water sufficiently. Having used the filter with the machine for a while now, we have no complaints. Its great value for money, does the job it should do and lasts for around 3 months per filter. Overall, an excellent product.
We love our Tommee Tippee perfect prep machine! Especially for night feeds it just makes life a lot easier, so much less faffing about. The only thing that I dont like about this product is that it starts only at 4oz and my daughter is 12 weeks and still on 3oz at a time so after the machine has done its magic I still have to just rinse it under the tap a bit but still much quicker than how we were doing it before. Would definitely recommend this product.
This filter ensures that the water of filtered and has no bacteria in for baby. Works perfectly and lasts the three months as advertised. I’ve found this filter to be at a much higher price elsewhere and find that it is as it should be priced at Smyths. Excellent value for money and is compatible in the older style perfect prep as well as then new day and night machine. Also it states that any carbon from the filter is perfectly harmless and is classed as a good grade so will not harm our little ones which is peace of mind for us Mums and Dads. Delivery was spot on product was well protected and was delivered on the date stated in my confirmation. Thank you.
Bought these to go with machine so they are ready for use. Easier to have them in early than need to buy when filter ready for replacing. They’re easy to use - just follow the instructions
I bought this as I couldn't breastfeed. It is very quick to make and highly revomedn but the machine itself is very noisey and very fiddly to use. Very easy to accidently press too many buttons especially when half asleep. Overall I would have gone for the cheaper version but definately wouldn't do without one as they can be a life saver.
