We read a lot of the reviews about this blackout blind before making the purchase. We've had the blind up through the heatwaves and it's been great during the day however at night when you have the window open no breeze can get through making it feel even hotter than it is. You have to move the suckers to allow the breeze through but then this means more light can get in of a morning. And finally, due to the black out coating during the heat wave and the blind getting hot we were left with black marks on our upvc windows. These are however easily cleaned off.So would I recommend it - yes.Would I buy it again - yes.

Decent product. Not completely black out because of having to adjust sizing,the suction pads are also quite big and would have worked better if smaller! Definitely makes the room a lot darker though and helped with baby’s early wake ups.

Blind should be bigger then the window by its measurements but the way the suction pads are spaced it means it doesn’t sit nicely at all. There is still gaps around & light comes in however it’s better then not having it up so this is the only reason we are using it. It’s simple enough to use and light weight material.

This product is great and definitely keeps the room much darker. I use it every day. The only comment I have is that because the blind is black on both sides jt makes my windows - which face the morning sun - very very hot ! Even by 8am. Sometimes too hot to touch In the summer. Because I live in a newish house with sturdy windows it seems fine but I would think twice if I lived in an older house with single glazing and windows that get full brunt of the morning sun.
We have this in my baby daughter's room. She was regularly waking up before 6am, and we suspected it might be the early morning summer light. With the blackout blind up she now regularly wakes up after 6am, which is a huge improvement! So pleased with this product.
No use ! neither pads nor velcro would stick in place not enough of them to hold weight of excess material. DIsapointing because it seemed like a good idea . May have worked better on long window or doors but the small pieces of velcro on the sides were no where near enough to hold the weight of material when adjusting the length .I thought about keeping it and sewing velcro across the middle as well but it would have added to cost . I returned
I bought this for baby's room to provide complete blackout for naps. Unfortunately the suction pads are located too close to the edge of the fabric só there isnt enough fabric to cover the light alongside the edge of the window. I already have roman blinds that do exactly same thing - letting some of the light come in from the top and along side the edge. This is the same but ugly. Waste of money
Really effective at blocking out light and heat too which was great for our mini Irish heatwaves this year! Easy to put onto the window and adjust the size. Weirdly, our little boy was terrified of the blackness of the blind and cried when he could see it so always had to cover it with a lighter coloured curtain/piece of material. Took a while to figure out the new crying at nap time so just in case anyone comes across this problem too!

I actually even tried it in my 4 year old's room, to see if it would help him sleep later in the mornings. I bought this for my 7 month old baby as the sunset light was so strong she wouldn't be able to go to sleep in the evenings. I've read many reviews saying it doesn't work well, but we have had no problems with it whatsoever. There is a certain way that you need to put the suckers on so that they don't fall and it's not difficult at all to do so, instructions on the tag attached to the blind. Depending on how dedicated you are to stick it to the windows, you will get a perfectly pitch black room. Our blind stays on from about 6pm to 6am, and sometimes throughout the day if we want to keep the room cooler. Didn't have issues with the suckers falling. It does work great for us.
