This set includes flare style spanners that are great for brake and hydraulic line fittings that require more grip that you can't normally get from an open ended spanner. All of these spanners are now thinner and lighter than both older models (and a lot of their competition), which reduces hand fatigue without compromising on durability. The full range of ToolPRO spanners are made from ultra-durable chrome-vanadium steel, and finished with a bright, mirror-like polish, making them practically immune from corrosion, and quite nice to look at. ToolPRO Spanners meet and exceed both DIN and ANSI standards, so you can be sure that they are sturdy enough to tackle any job you need done.

I wish I had read the reviews before I had purchased this. I purchased these spanners to remove and replace some brake fittings. The whole point of a flare nut spanner is to reduce the slip you might have with a conventional set. Well, the tolerances on these are so whack that they slipped WORSE than my regular set. They completely rounded off my brake nuts and I now need more tools, expense and time to fix the problem they've created.A short time later on a fresh bolt (not a brake fitting) it managed to snap the spanner. So, if you are lucky that you can get a good grip on the bolt you run the risk of the spanner cracking anyway! Hopeless!I got them on sale but even if I had paid $5 they would not have been worth it. I got this set to undo a fuel filter on a Toyota Camry basically only needed to use the 14m. So I proceeded to try and losses the filter which can be a bit of a pain when the filter hasn’t been replaced in years, anyways I put a bit of pressure on the pipe spanner and next thing “ping “ the spanner broke….DO NOT RECOMMEND BUYING THIS PRODUCT AT ALL….

Unfortunately i cant comment on the rolerances of the wrenches, as the chamfer on the inside of the socket was taller than the height of my flare nuts. ended up using a pair of vice grips to break it free, and a normal wrench to back it out.

I bought this metric flare spanner set because:-1. Full range from 9mm right through to 18mm2. Excellent value since they were on promotional price3. Flare spanners are very handy with well fitting to bolts and nuts4.Great compact carry storage case
Had to use to 10mm to get the hard brake line off separating it from the flexible line. The spanner slipped badly stripping it. Expected better.
Completely agree with all other reviews here stating the tolerancing is not good enough. I only needed the use the 10mm, which worked for the first few but eventually just damaged the nuts after repeat use and rounded them all off. I resorted to using my regular open ended spanner which had a better grip.
Bought these to undo brake line fittings without rounding them (normal open end spanners are unsuitable). Unfortunately, the fit was poor and the ends splayed apart rounding the nuts anyway. Tested on some regular bolts and they were no better than an open ended spanner which was very disappointing. Unfortunately this set is not fit for purpose. Even tried using vice grips to avoid them splaying but the fit was so loose they rounded fittings anyway.
Like another, I didn't read the reviews first. Taking the master cylinder off an old car for refurbishment. My brother advised me to use flare nut spanners not open ended ringys and spray penetrene or nut breaker on the fittings which I did. I tried two of the three nuts and the spanners just slid around them taking the corners off like butter. Never even budged them. Yes the nuts are metric 10mm. I got the third fitting off using my open ended KingCraft (30 year old) ring spanner 10mm. The ToolPRO spanner opening is 10.2mm and 10.4mm at the open end. i.e. the tolerance is way out. Naybe the spanner is opening up further when in use. Too loose for my brake lines. No good, I am returning the set as this is the only use case I have for such a kit. The spanners look well made but I guess the tolerance and hidden strength doesn't match the look.
Bought these on impulse even though I was looking for a more comprehensive metric set to do some hydraulic lines on power steering and figured for the money it was worth a try.Pleasantly surprised at the sizes in the kit and they did the job even cracking a very stubborn line into the rack itself with zero spread/flex on the spanner even with a bar over the end.The fit is snug and the spanners are meaty enough to inspire confidence.Amazingly good quality for a small amount of cash.
The whole reason that you buy a set of flare spanners is to get maximum grip onto your soft brake nuts, to avoid damaging or tearing them, especially when they are being stubborn. These flare wrenches defeat the whole purpose of buying flare wrenches in the first place. They are not accurately sized and they don't grip. This causes them to slip and damage expensive brake parts. Supercheap, you owe me a couple of expensive Porsche brake lines!
