easy to use, precise, no loss of air. Recommended
I needed a digital pump to tune in a more accurate pressure on my shock and fork. This Topeak digital pump is accurate and just as easy to use as the dial versions. It does require a 2 step process to ensure no pressure is lost but it's worth it. Very little air is released when removing. I've compared this to my ShockWiz that I have attached to my shock. The pressure difference is around 0.1-0.2 psi. Way better than the pumps that don't have the 2 step process. The screen is easy to read as well. Overall, I'm very pleased with the pump and I recommend it.
They should change pocket in the name to backpack, it is not small. The disconnect for the air connector is a little misleading. It could do with a better explanation. When you connect it you will loose 5-7psi ish from it filling the line. When you disconnect it you will hear air hiss out. I have a shockwiz connected that shows pressure. When you disconnect, it does not loose air. It's only the air in the tool escaping. It only loses air when connecting.
I’ve had this pump for a few weeks now it works really good I saw a mechanic at moosejaw in Bentonville use it and loved it. It’s not heavy or bulky overall great product
Really pleased
I knew that I wanted to get a digital pump. Being a constant tinkerer with my suspension, starring and trying to get accurate readings out of my analog topeak pump was starting to become a chore. With the new crop of 38mm forks, even a few PSI can make a noticeable difference to ride feel and sag (especially the Zeb as it runs at low pressures), so getting pressures exactly where you want them helps simplify the rest of the setup.Enter the topeak pocket shock digital. Slightly longer than a DXG (the similar analog pump) I?ve found the new digital version very easy to use and read. It?s impossible to understate how convenient the digital display is. For me, it?s a night and day difference. Build quality is excellent, I love the dual stage valve (same as on the analog version) and seems like it has more psi per stroke vs. the analog version (less pumping). Air release valves are simple to use and on the digital version are much easier to avoid accidentally hitting as you?re pumping. The pump has a very handy off/on feature to help conserve battery as well.Is it necessary? No. Especially if you already have a quality analog pump. But, If you have multiple bikes (or even one) that you find yourself consistently adjusting pressures and tinkering with, I think the digital pocket shock pump is an excellent addition to your kit. As usual, backcountry.com and competitive cyclist are great.Pros: build quality, ease of use, simply having a digital display. Looks great. Auto on/off featureCons: expensive vs most analog pumps. 300 psi max may not be enough if you run high pressures in a high max psi shock (fox dps/dpx2 for example)
Works great
