This seems to work best when put in the freezer several hours so that its totally cold before filling with ice cream. Then it helps speed up the freezing process. It fits easily in small areas and looks so gorgeous with it’s bright magenta colour. With it’s name I did expect it to come with a matching scoop but this is sold separately.

I bought this so my homemade ice cream wouldn't take up so much space in the freezer. I had been using regular tupperware to store my ice cream before that. While this ice cream tub has a slender profile, the lid doesn't create a tight seal so your homemade ice cream (which is prone to getting a bit icy due to the lack of preservatives) gets freezer burn after a day or 2. It's also recommended to handwash this product, which gets another ding from me because I want to just chuck it in the dishwasher. There are tiny little divets where the lid attaches to the container and it's impossible to reach with a sponge. Not worth the money, keep using tupperware containers.

The Tovolo Ice Cream Tub is an excellent container for ice cream. This purchase was a present. I have previously bought the Tovolo Ice Cream Tubs for other Family when I gifted them Ice Cream Machines for Xmas. The Tubs have been excellent for many years. Very good quality plastic and manufacture. Easy to remove ice cream and clean with the function design of the Ice Cream Tub. Also appealing colours.

Perfect size to make and store unique flavour ice cream. Ice cream scoop has plenty of room to manoeuvre. Fits snugly within the freezer space without being too cumbersome. Love the green ring which makes it easier to find in the deep freezer. Not a negative, but would like it also in a bigger size.
I now have 3 Tivolo Ice Cream Tubs. I am an avid Ice-cream maker and these tubs are just brilliant. With this design it insulates well with the inner main storage container therefore eliminating icicles inside the container, on the lid or within the ice cream. Makes for easy scooping and the style/design of the container fits well into the freezer most importantly the ice cream stays creamy. I have been using the Tivoli Glide-A-Scoop for years now and will continue to do so - a great investment.
Perfectly fits one batch of the fresh strawberry icecream from the Cuisinart Icecream Maker without spillage. Easy to slide into the freezer and excellent scooping. Easy to clean afterwards. I need to buy more so I can have a variety of flavours on the go.
I have only used the Tovolo 1.5 Qt. Ice Cream Tub once. It is very sturdy and is well designed to take up a minimum amount of space in the freezer. It is a perfect size for one recipe of the 1.5 quart Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker. It is a bit hard to scoop ice cream out of unless you have the right kind of ice cream scoop. Ours is a wide blade. I will have to purchase a scoop with a smaller head. I think I will buy another one so we can make more than one batch to have different flavors and enough to share. I gave it four stars instead of five due to the challenge of getting the ice cream out.
Ive got the first tub filled with extra vanilla ice cream right now. The second tub will be filled with Mexican Cocoa with cinnamon chocolate drop ice cream. This is a great size. They each hold tge entire contents of my churn and are quicker and easier to fill than smaller containers. The extra length makes them easily acceptable, too. The lids fit tight and secure and the price was right. Happy buyer.
