Easy setup and better reception

Provides better range than my Fritzbox but "setup" for the most popular ISP's should provided by TP Link. Only general details are provided. Good for VOIP.

Painless & super quick setup with very responsive Ui compared to every modem router I've delt with previously. Had the internet back up and running in minutes.

I ordered this product but was sent the Kogan Internet Wireless-AC NBN-Ready ADSL2+/VDSL Modem & Router instead. It is identical to the TP-Link VR500V but with Kogan branding. It works well on NBN HFC 50mbps connection. I don't use the wireless feature much but it appears to work well in the confines of my unit. Easy setup. Had some problems on the landline with calls to automated call systems where it would not register menu item numbers (i.e. press 2 to talk to customer service etc.). Spoke to AussieBroadband who suggested experimenting with DTMF Relay Setting (In-Band, RFC2883). Also noticed that the Locale Setting was not set to AU-Australia. Changed both of these and landline and problem solved. Also when I purchased the item the price was discounted. Pleased with my purchase.
This ios a freally good router. Easy to set up and use, nice coverage and networking. I feel like the software doesnt have as many options as the AC series I have, but this suited my needs in a small office
Easy to set up. Works as described. Wifi has great range .
I bought this modem a year or so ago now and will never buy this brand again. the modem works well for devices but the computer constantly drops in and out and their customer service is terrible.
I bought this today as a replacement for an older (still working) device from a different vendor, for use at my mum's house. I have other TP-Link devices at my house, but none with VOIP. Generally, TP-Link has been a good buy in my experience. For some reason the web-based UI was quite slow to interact with. It spent a lot of time thinking, which is unusual for TP-Link. Aside from that, however, and the fact that some settings were a little different to what I was expecting, I was able to get this set up for my mother in about an hour (NBN WAN, VOIP and WIFI). One nice thing with this device is that after I got the WAN connection working (internet access) is that the device has it's own "update firmware" button that saved having to go looking for the right firmware, downloading it, figuring out how to apply it etc. It was literally one click. I can't yet comment on stability, but nothing dropped out or stopped working in the couple of hours I was testing it out. As per normal with TP-Link, WiFi setup is trivially easy. VOIP seemed to just work after I got the settings right, both inbound and outbound (which is good compared to experience with other devices). If I knew for sure that this device was stable over time I would give it 5 stars, but for now it gets 4 simply due to the unknowns and also the slow UI (at least before the firmware update).
did what its supposed to with minimal problems
thanks
