TP-Link Deco XE75 AXE5400 Whole Home Mesh Wi-Fi 6E System - 3-Pack
The 6 GHz band offers the fastest possible speeds, the lowest latency, and unprecedented capacity. With WiFi 6E, the available spectrum is more than doubled, meaning there is no longer competition for the airwaves. Experience lightning-fast WiFi thanks to the clean 6 GHz band and the additional 160 MHz channels that eliminate interference from older devices. The 6 GHz band on the greenfield with more spectrums enhances the backhaul performance between Deco devices, creating the most stable and strongest network that covers every corner of your home. This also improves the overall WiFi performance of all non-6E devices. Connections for up to 200 devices are possible. Deco uses its own algorithms to automate the connections in your network, ensuring the best possible signals at all times. Cover up to 7,200 ft² with seamless next-generation WiFi and make dead zones and buffering a thing of the past. Experience the WiFi frequency that eliminates interference from all older devices. The 6 GHz band also provides a powerful dedicated backhaul to further optimize the WiFi performance of non-6E devices. All three WiFi bands work together to increase the overall speed of your network to up to 5,400 Mbps for 200 devices. Unify your home under one name and password and deliver connections as you move from room to room. Protect your home network with state-of-the-art network and IoT security features. Setup is easier than ever - the Deco app guides you step by step through the installation. Backward compatible with all WiFi generations and works with any Internet Service Provider and modem.

We used to have a Orbi tri band system with 1 router, 2 satellites and it was slightly older from around 2018. It worked fine for a connection under 800mbps but our house is around 4,800sq ft if you count our garage, basement and other areas. Unfortunatly the way our home is, the router is on the left side, we have one satellite upstairs and one on the other end of the house in the garage. Our router speed test was around 800x400, 300x200 upstairs 2 rooms away and 150x100 in the garage on the other side of the house. So i tried the Wyze Router pro and it wasn't great, it just overall doesnt have many features and couldnt carry a good signal to each satellite and wifi handoff was TERRIBLE.So i got this system, placed them in the same spot. We pay for 1,100 by 600 mbps. Now by the router we get that FULL speed wirelessly, upstairs 2 rooms away we get 800 by 600, and in the garage we get around 780 by 500. Sp overall, the signal is extreme, it works anywhere in our yard and any part of our house gets amazing signal, speed, and wifi handoff between them is amazing. We used the 6ghz band as a backhaul instead of using it as a seperate network & backhauk and it makes it faster. Overall this system range might be overkill but it ensures everywhere in the house we're at least getting 85% of our total speed. Havent had issues with any devices connecting. Setup is super fast and easy, and app doesnt have too many crazy features but it has everything you need and its super quick and doesnt lag.

My wife and I both work from home and needed good strong wifi to cover a 5000+ sq ft area in our newly purchased house. Want to be able to get a good signal inside and out by the pool. I read a lot of great reviews about these on this site, and from "professionals" on several others. Here's the entire event unfolded.Setup was very easy and only took a few min through the app. It took longer to choose a new network name than anything. Connected 3 Samsung TVs that are 1 year old, a laptop, two iPhones, and hardwired a PC to the main unit. All of this was completed in roughly 10 min. I was super happy and decided to take a shower and get ready to relax and watch some TV before going to sleep. That's where the whole thing turned south.Turn on the TV in the fireplace ... That's where the whole thing turned south.Turn on the TV in the fireplace room and within 5 min of a show it starts buffering. Thought it was odd, but it's a new system that has some "smart" technology built in. Restarted the TV and everything was fine for about 3.4 min, and buffering again. Then I start running some tests. We have a 1 gig service through Spectrum, and can consistently get between 875 mgb and 1.1 gbps everywhere in the house with the wifi router that they sent. Tested on the phone with the Deco, 475-560 and it didn't matter if I was 15 ft, or 5 inches away from the the pretty little can of frustration. Tried my laptop, same issues. Slower speeds than on the one provided by Spectrum. Guess what happened when I turned on the other TVs.... THAT'S RIGHT! BUFFERING !!!!Needless to say I was not happy in the slightest little bit. I spent almost $500 on this with the extended warranty, and it is now back in the original box, I have put my original router from Spectrum back in place, and will have my refund very soon.

I've been struggling with WiFi in my house for years, and looking at other mesh systems always made second guess myself because, until the 6E backhaul, I would have needed to run ethernet from my office, where the FiOS router is, to the other access point. When I read that this had the capability of dedicated 6E backhaul, I had to pick it up. My FiOS is only 100/100, I don't do any "real" in-home networking, meaning everything I use just connects to the internet, nothing really needs to speak internally on my network, so this seemed like the perfect solution.Once I received it and set it up, it no longer seems like the perfect solution... it is the perfect solution. I connected the router, configured my SSID, connected the second router, upgraded the firmware, and started moving all of my devices. I had 4 SSID's in my house, two upstairs and two downstairs, each router having a 2.4 and 5.0 SSID. Since I decided to change to a completely unique SSID, the only PITA of this install was configuring all of my smart devices (google homes, smart plugs, etc).So far, so good. Streaming multiple shows to multiple TVs and running multiple speedtests simultanously, and nothing hiccuped. Overall, love the speed and the unified SSID.As an IT professional, I do wish that there were more nerd knobs to turn, but, quite frankly, it's nice to just set it and forget it.TL;DR - easy setup, great range, wish the software had more options and that I could manage it completely through the web UI rather than relying on my phone.Update 1 - A few weeks after installation, and everything is still rock solid. Wifi coverage through my 2,500 sq/ft house is great, and I haven't noticed nor had a single issue reported to me. As an IT professional I can tell you that the best thing about this system is that I have literally not thought about it since installation. If you are looking for a (sorry, Ron!) "Set it and forget it" WiFi, you have found it!Mac

It was an easy set up using the DECO app.So far everything is working well.Spectrum is my Internet provider and I have their modem. The spec says that it is an 6E and rated at 500Mbps. I upgraded to their ultra Internet plan, which is at the 500Mbp level.I use the Ookla app for Speedtest. So far around the house my Internet speed is averaging 400Mbps down & 17Mbps up. (Remember I just started using this DECO & spectrum upgrade it hasn’t been two weeks yet.)In my study, I have everything directly connected (6 devices) via an eight port switch including my Mac desktop. I have run the Ookla app on my Mac and the speeds is well over 500Mbps.Note: while I have 21 devices connected to the net work, there is usually only 2 to streaming devices running concurrently.I ... Admittedly I've owned this product for about a week. I used to own an aging Linksys Velop that came with a fair bit of features. Features a) I either didn't use to their fullest and b) those that I didn't use at all. While some of these views talk about downgrades, etc. It all depends on what your intentions are.Do you want a seemless iinstallation (if you use the same name/pass as before)? i.e. Setup 2 or 3 or 4 nodes in pretty much less than 20 minutes from start to finish? Then this is a great product. Is your house more vertical than horizontal? Then you likely only need 2. If it's more horizontal, then you might want 3 or potentially 4. I ended buying 2 packs of 2 because they were on sale and it's basically getting the 4th for a major discount. I would have ... MoreAdmittedly I've owned this product for about a week. I ended buying 2 packs of 2 because they were on sale and it's basically getting the 4th for a major discount. I would have normally needed 3 anyways.I've had zero drops since installation. A lot of this all depends on where the nodes are placed. Behind TV's? Tucked in corners? Hidden from sight? Then you're likely gonna get drops.Take advantage of the 3, yes, 3 ethernet ports on the back of each node. If you're at a desk, have a node close enough you can run an ethernet line to it to enjoy the best possible connection.Does this product have a speed test? No. Is that the end of the world? No. You can easily connect your laptop to your modem (still protected) and run a speed test if you're concerned about your ISP's speed. Or b, just use an online speed test to give you a rough idea. 9/10 the speed your modem gets is not what you'll be getting over wifi anyways.Enjoy the simplicity, enjoy the speed, and watch netflix without interruption.

I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with knowing my network is protected from potential threats and that I can control access to specific websites and apps for my children. Finally, the design of the Deco XE75 Pro is sleek and modern, and the compact size of each unit makes it easy to place them inconspicuously around the home. The system also integrates with Alexa, allowing me to control my network with voice commands.Overall, I highly recommend the TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro to anyone looking to upgrade their home Wi-Fi system. It offers lightning-fast speeds, extensive coverage, advanced security features, and easy setup, all in a stylish and compact design. It's an excellent investment that will provide reliable and secure internet access for years to come.
I was very disappointed to see that TP-Link has begun putting some basic firewall and routing features behind a monthly subscription pay wall. I have the M5 Deco mesh system currently where all of these features are included.Beyond that the coverage was better than my M5s but the performance was worse. I was connected to 5G on the M5 units getting 540 Mbps down but only achieving 400 Mbps down on the AXE5400s.Additionally I was not able to see or connect to the 6GHz band with my Wi-Fi6e laptop. I tried changing the setting to backhaul + fronthaul but it didn't make a difference. In conclusion, I likely would have kept them had they not decided to try and eek out extra dollars a month to unlock normal functionality. TP-Link has a good history of resolving performance issues via firmware updates... but I am unwilling to pay the purchase price over and over though a subscription to achieve that. For this reason I will be looking at other manufacturers for my next upgrade.
I just upgraded from a Netgear WiFi Router with a range extender in the other room. This was SO much easier to install and configure and works much more seamlessly with my devices. I had it up and running in no time with the Deco app on my Android phone. The only confusing thing was that the app asks you to pick your model and I kept looking for AXE5400, but it was under XE75 (the other part of the name). I also had to make sure that my old network was down for 30s or so before it would allow me to re-use the network name and password (so I wouldn't have to re-enter settings in every WiFi device in my house).I'm getting consistent, full speed throughout the house and garage now. I was happy that it will search all the channels to find the emptiest one (I live in a ... MoreI just upgraded from a Netgear WiFi Router with a range extender in the other room. I was happy that it will search all the channels to find the emptiest one (I live in a very crowded neighborhood - in the past I had to manually find the empty channels). After setup I used a scanning app to verify that it had chosen channels that none of my neighbors use :-)I also have wired ethernet in many places in the house, and was happy to find that I could just plug one of the non-main units into the wall and it automatically switched to using the wired connection as the backchannel to the main unit. How cool was that? The app shows exactly what is going on with the system in a very understandable way.It literally made every smart decision through the whole process all by itself. Even though I know what to do, I didn't have to lift a finger for it to set itself up in the most optimal way.I wondered if I was being silly to spend this kind of money to upgrade my system, and it was worth every penny!
Hello I'm writing this review as I'm very happy with the purchase. I got a single pack for $149 couldn't pass the upgrade up from my old router. It's nice to see Wifi 6E in budget devices now instead of $500+ routers. Wifi signal has been strong and reliable. Already got a firmware update on first day so I know it will be a secure router in the future. Plus I like it has wpa 3 a newer standard of security as well. I highly recommend the router wish I could have gotten the 2 pack but only needed one at the time. The wifi 6 ghz band is great to have and I love the custom wifi bands. My wyze cam uses 2.4ghz so easy setup for devices using 2.4Ghz still at this time. Highly recommend this router super small as well and not oddly shaped either with all those attenas ... These replace an Apple Airport Time Capsule ($600, replaced once by Apple) which Apple stopped making in 2016. I could not be happier so far. Using one as a router on the landing of my basement stairs and one on the windowsill in my problem room (a converted one-car garage with concrete walls under the new paneling), not only do I suddenly get coverage ALL OVER the house (a first), but it even reaches to an outdoor balcony, the covered porch in back, and a separate building in the yard where I have my pool table--where there was zero signal before. Also, the speeds are suddenly much faster. The worst speeds with the TP-Link are better than the best speeds with the Time Capsule. I didn't even do any experimenting with siting the second unit--I just put it on the ... Also, the speeds are suddenly much faster. The worst speeds with the TP-Link are better than the best speeds with the Time Capsule. I didn't even do any experimenting with siting the second unit--I just put it on the windowsill where it was handiest (see pic), and it works fine.My experience did deviate from that of some others in that setup was not straightforward for me--I had to spend a lot of time on the phone with Chris from Spectrum, who was very patient and cheerful. I do live in a very rural area, and have a complicated 1880's house. We did get it running, and I'm still not sure how. But all is well in the end.I haven't even had these set up for one day so far, so I can't speak to reliability. But for performance, I'm very happy. The screen shot shows my speeds out on my front porch, which I use as my office. The porch is behind some real plaster walls with METAL lathe, which usually acts like a perfect RF shield. That is the largest speed number I've ever seen out here by a far shot.BIG KUDOS and thanks to B&H Customer Service--the rep I talked to prior to buying these (I wish I could remember his name) really did a thorough job running down my options, and recommended these along with two other recommendations at different price points. He told me I was going to see big gains in performance, and was he ever right.
