I upgraded my AP primarily to make streaming PC games to my VR glasses even more stable and less laggy. I have the Oculus Quest 2. Also other devices had occasional problems negotiating 5GHz connection with my previous Wifi 5 AP. Managed to solve all these with this AP, I'm really satisfied with this router. I needed one that can manage multiple SSID (station IDs) and supports associating these station IDs to different VLANs, so that IOT things can use a different isoalted VLAN than my computers or sensitive storage devices. I thought Wifi 6 promises more than it delivers, as usual, but it surprised me, even devices further away from the AP can do ~700Mbit transfer speeds according to my measurements. VR galasses reports very low latency, 4-6ms, with 1200Mbps.

I used this in my first networking deployment as I have expanded beyond mere security camera installs. These TP-Link devices paired with the Omada Controller and Nelly's Customer Service have made my transition a breeze. The AX1800 APs were very easy to install, paired well with an IPCamPower POE Switch, and the Omada App made setup incredibly easy. The customer is extremely satisfied with their new network and I am fairly certain that this small business will never come close to touching what these APs are capable of. Nelly's also carries the big brother to this AP and I can't wait to try it!
