App is still new and doesn't provide aggregate total usage across all devices (something I really want). Had errors on install and many retries on second install. Suspect this is with app trying to connect wifi to plug error. Once running, strong plug with best amps support. While app could use some improvements, it works and provides usage information. Doesn't trigger ACFI/GFCI on outlet. Solid design in a company that has served wifi technologies for decades.

A full 15 amps with energy monitoring and easy to use software for scheduling etc. Excellent product and a great price. B&H is also a superb supplier. No complaints.

This is one of the only smart plugs that talks to my Sense whole house energy monitor. I found out my TV is using 400 watts! It's probably time to get a new energy efficient TV

The KP115 is the newest Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Single Plug with "Energy Monitoring" for the item plugged into the Smart Plug. (The Kasa app must be downloaded first to your cellphone to operate the Smart Plug). I like the quick Wi-Fi operation of the Kasa app to turn on/off whatever is connected to the Smart Plug. There is also an on/off push switch on the Smart Plug end to operate whatever is connected to the KP115. The tp-link Smart Plug is an outstanding addition to controlling low-wattage indoor home electrical items. Once you install one tp-link Kasa Smart Wi-Fi Plug...you'll be looking to buy more for the home. The smart plugs are very convenient to turn on/off electrical items from a distance.
I purchased these specifically to monitor power usage in my home computer lab. I had to fight a little with the Kasa app to configure them, but once configured they have integrated perfectly with Prometheus to monitor power consumption, and with Home Assistant for remote control (without using Kasa's cloud-based app). I'm not a typical user, but these are working well for my needs.
This is my third one of these plugs; they’re my current favorite. Easily connects to the app for manual control or on its schedule you set up. Bonus points for tying it to your Amazon Echo and having Alexa turn it off and on with a command.
To use on other than a new smart phone, functionality not so good as on a lap top you have to download a phone simulator and that is huge to run although ultimately it will work when older android phones may not.
Really saved my bacon (literally!!!) when my fridge went on the fritz recently. I could see if the compressor was running, and how much juice was being used, which also helped a lot. Like it so much I ordered two more.
Works well with Sense power monitoring. THAT is the reason I purchased it, because there are some devices that Sense will just not detect in my home, so by plugging them into one of these, or the HS300 6-outlet power bar, I can get my power consumption.
