TP-Link Tapo C310P2 Outdoor Wi-Fi Security Camera

Very bad aftersales support. Disappointed in how my issue on a defective SD card has been handled. Spoke to their tech, and they had me go through a series of questions and troubleshooting steps and also had me send a video which I did only to be told that I need to send my defective SD card so they can troubleshoot it again to check if it's really defective. I have three SD cards, two are working and the other one is not. I bought two C310s from your shop. I've tried all of the SD cards on both C310s. It's as clear as day that one of the cards is defective. What else is needed to be checked? Do you have a special way of checking if a generic sd card is defective or not? is it that complicated? Amazing system for a very competitive price

I have two of these. Easy to setup, 15mins from opening to watching stream, decent WiFi strength. Image is good enough to identify people. The IR range covers everything I need. Detection and notifications are easily setup to individual needs. Will probably get another couple. Hardwired power, but that means there isn’t a lag in recording, you will see the lead up to the point it send you and notification, unlike a battery one that only starts recording after it sends a notification.

Bought a pair of these cameras for house security. Wow, image is really good and sharp and at the current price for a pair a bargain. Remember, unlike other similar products, you can record footage via a micro sim in the camera. No need for a costly subscription.When deciding on this product it should be noted that it does protrude quite a distance from the mounting face and the leads which are captive on the camera are not that long (the power lead and the data lead plug in to moulded sockets on the camera leads) This might be a problem feeding them through a facia and cavity wall. I did it but it was tight.

Good value camera.

Good camera at a good price. Easy to set up and does not need a special hub. It communicates directly with your house router even from a good distance away on the back of the house. You can monitor it on your phone and set it to send you motion alerts. It's AI features of identifying whether motion is a person or not are imperfect, identifying cats, dripping water and moving trees as people sometimes. Night vision is black and white, day vision is colour. Needs a power supply but does not need a cabled internet connection, which makes installation much easier. By adding a micro-SD data card you have local back-up, so no need to subscribe to online storage if you don't want to.

Great Home security camera!

Bought one of these 2 weeks ago. very good camera and very good value. only issue was cable from camera is not that long and has power and ethernet plugs on the end. Not sure if you can disconnect cable from back of camera? I didn't try that as had a void on my garage roof to get cable through. Otherwise you'd need quite a big hole to get the cable through. I bought a Sandisk 64mb C10 micro card to go with it. TP link give you a list of approved SD cards so I got one on their list £5.50 online. Very pleased with this camera. Mine works fine with Wi-fi but you can also plug in an ethernet cable.

Home security camera

I bought the TP Link Tapo C310 camera as security for the rear of my house. I have mounted it to the wall below the soffits. It needs a mains power supply. There is a short lead on the camera which has a bullet connector on the end to connect to the supplied power adaptor so the bullet connector can pass through a small hole to reach a power supply in the house. I have connected the camera via WiFi to the app. The app was easy to download and setup on my android phone and works well. The camera gives a good general view in both daylight and at night. It is good at picking up a person moving in the garden and storing the footage to the memory card I have put in the camera. Slow, Glitchy app. Features require subscription.

Image quality is great for price, build quality seems also to be good.The tapo app is awful, slow to connect most of the time, very frustrating.Motion detection picks up EVERYTHING even on lowest sensitivity, rain, moths ect ect. Had to turn motion detection off.Most of the features require an expensive monthly subscription package, not mentioned on the Noel leeming advert. I'm buying a camera to own it....not be tied into a subscription scheme.Wouldn't recommend, theres better options for the same price out there.

TP Link Tapo C310

Bought these on offer to reinforce an existing hard wired CCTV system with some Wi-Fi cameras where wire run for wired cameras would have been awkward. Bit tricky to establish wi-fi connection (Virgin) but seems to be an issue with the router not the camera. Camera set up itself was easy with lot's of additional features, alarms, light controls etc. Picture is OK and recording to 128gb endurance micro SD card (not supplied) works well. My Riolink cameras have a rain hood, these don't, so I have had to mount them under cover. For the price (Toolstation bundle offer) unbeatable.
