Amazing!! Nighttime vision is absolutely unbelievable!I love these cameras. Started with just one to try, now I have many more. You can make them as simple or as complex as you like. (Of course I’ve gone with complex 😂) So many options for fine tuning! The AI is one of the best bits. Identifying motion, people, pets and vehicles, and the option to alert for specific ones.What will really blow your mind is the ability to “teach” each individual camera if/when they get it wrong.You can make them more accurate with their AI detection. Price + quality + performance ✅

Best Low-light camera available

Wow, this camera is fantastic, other cameras cannot pick up any details after dark but this Tapo camera displays video like its daylight.Likes:1. Simple to set up and connect to WiFi2. Video clarity and detail is excellent.3. Sound is clear4. Motion detection and AI sensor works great.5. Ability to live stream to social with built in RTSP protocol.6. Sharing live stream but only with Tapo app.7. WiFi connection/signal is strong and consistent with no frequent dropouts (good WiFi chip).Wish list:1. Better sharing ability outside of Tapo app i.e. using a web browser.2. RTMP to stream directly to social w/o software encoder.Overall this camera is excellent, pretty sure you will not find a better low light camera with this much detail and clarity anywhere!

I have been using their range extenders for years, with good results and reliability.I’ve been dealing with a rock squirrel who chewed up my truck’s wiring; bill, and down time, were impressive. We set out a trap for him, but netted a raccoon and a skunk. Needing more control, we added this camera. Installing the Android app and setting up the camera is detailed but straightforward; no challenge.Daytime detail is impressive, as is the effective range. Colors are accurate. Pinch and spread zoom works well. The Color Night video is the killer app. Competes with the best out there.

There's no camera right now that can compete with this level of clarity in low light conditions. There's only a few negatives but so many positives for this camera. I'm in aww right now.Video/Picture quality is top notch. Its clear in low light as well as brightly lit areas. The fact that I mounted this behind a window is just perplexing in a good way. The time it takes to open a notification to a live video is very fast. Faster than my Google Nest cameras which are faster than my Wyze and Eufy's. It also doesn't seem to miss an alert. The number of notifications can get annoying but its somewhat controllable through the app. The app works well and you can have up to 32 cameras. So you get pics but not a video (Google Nests have this). Uses a barrel type power connecter (Wish it was USB-C). No desktop web browser access to the cameras (like the Nest). You can stream the video feed to apps or a NAS but if you're using a micro-SD card, its one or the other. Not both. Lack of Email Notifications (like the Nest)This may be the best home camera you can get right now. Will be interesting if Google ever takes their Nest acquisition seriously but I'd buy this over the Nest even though the Nest products are a bit more polished.Hint: Start the Tapo Care (for cloud recording and rich notifications @ $35/yr) during setup and if you plan on purchasing the subscription, don't start it until the end of the trial period. If you pay early, the date starts from the purchase date so you lose a few days...

The best security cam I've owned

I've had the opportunity to try several different security cams, and this one from TP-Link is the best I've had so far. It's far from perfect, but it's pretty darn good. The 2K video quality is outstanding compared to some others I've had. And even though the audio is horrible and out of sync, it's still the best audio I've gotten from a cam like this. That doesn't say much for security cam audio! One of these days, I'll check the video on the SD card and will update this review if it's better.I like that it can detect and differentiate between moving objects, like cars, dogs, etc., and persons. This means that I can use the software/app to only alert me to actual humans entering the frame, reducing the number of alerts significantly. I've had other cameras that claim to be able to detect humans, but none really worked. This one does and does it well.This cam plugs into to power, so no battery is needed. I've gone the battery route and it's a pain to have to recharge it every couple of months. Also, with a plugged in cam, you can record 24/7, which you can't with a battery powered cam. Of course, you'll need to install a Micro SD card. The card slot is behind a protected cover with two screws holding it in place. There is also a LAN port, which I am not using and used the included cable accessories to seal off that port.The internal white LED's are not super bright, but will light up the area fairly well, especially if there are no other lights on. The light can be configured to come on when movement is detected, but I have that turned off. I can always turn on the light with the app at any time if I want.The app works well and it's easy to view what's going on from anywhere. This is one of the better apps I've used in conjunction with a security cam. Using the speaker to talk to folks through the camera works well, also.Overall, I'm very pleased with this camera. Like I said, it's certainly not perfect, but it's way better than others I've tried.

Very nice security cameras.

These are excellent cameras especially for low light color night recordings. I think it would be difficult to find a better camera. This company does make a nice battery powered camera that I have (the MagCam). This one, the ColorPro, is better for overall recording quality and motion detection range but you do need to have it plugged in for its power source. It's a great camera and the app (Tapo) is very good as well. Once you get accustomed to the settings and use of the app, you'll be happy with the setup.

Without a doubt one of the best Wi-Fi cameras ever

I am extremely satisfied with this product. On my limited budget this camera does everything I wanted. The quality and clarity of the day AND night footage is amazing. The quality of the live streamed footage is excellent. The range of the Wi-Fi is excellent. The event notifications are amazing, with the ability to allow specific events (such as vehicle, person, pet) whilst filtering out general "motion", so no more trees and shadows sending false positives. The mobile app is also well thought out and reasonably intuitive once you take the time to explore the options. The only improvement Highly recommended. Well done TP-Link.
