Exactly what I needed to use Bluetooth headphones with my Windows 10 desktop PC. Been using this for about a month now. Despite the obviously small antenna in the "nano" size I've found the range is fine, can get close to 10m away (indoors) before reception gets spotty - more or less is in-line with BT spec (plus my headphones may be the limiting factor). Mostly in the same room as the PC so there's no problem. Small size makes it a little fiddly to get into a rear USB port. Will buy again if the need arises.

Running this on my PC to my Wireless Edifier speakers, not drops / lag.Not sure about range but not expecting much from a device with a 6.5mm high receiver/transmitter.Not cheapest but was one of the only BT 5.0 dongles I could find at the time.
Terrible range, no better than an old bluetooth 4.0 adapter I had lying around, completely worthless for audio in another room. I guess an antenna is essential for these things - My aliexpress adapter with an antenna works through 3 walls and was half the price.
I have purchased other USB 5.0 dongles to connect Apple Airpods to PCs running Windows 10 with no problems. This dongle works to connect once, but it does not maintain connection. Must remove device and repair every single time. Drops calls. Completely useless.
The motherboard I purchased did not have wi-fi. Since I need Bluetooth capability, this adapter was the perfect choice. It works seamlessly in the background. It was less expensive to use this adapter than to pay the extra cost for a wi-fi enabled motherboard.
Upgraded from a bluetooth 4.0 device and I am so impressed with this product. Pairing it with my Apple AirPods that I like to use occasionally with my PC, gave me hugely improved quality, clarity and range. I would not have thought it possible to get such an improvement over the previous device I had that was not particularly old.
Only needed a quick driver install, had 4 Bluetooth controllers connected without any latency or connection problems. I would only recommend getting something newer/higher spec than this is you were really pushing the limits, but for the price it was a great addition to my pc.
nothings changed for years with this thing, still performs pretty well, but not excellently. i have a 1000mb-s connection, and it pulled it down to 250 mb-s
