In my opinion this a fantastic macro lens if your new to macro photography, sharp image and easy to focus. I have used this on a number of occasions and it has yet to fail me. The only complaint I have is when using a lower aperture it can cause the borders of the picture to be a bit blurry, but other than that I think this is a fantastic beginner macro lens!

I bought this lens, on a whim, in order to photograph my watches on an XT-4. (I normally use the GFX camera system.)I was pleasantly surprised at the heft and design of the lens. It is very well-made and more than acceptable when stopped down a stop or two.I am a pro with over 40 years experience and I would not hesitate to suggest this lens for the FujiFilm X mount cameras.

It's difficult to believe a $100 lens could be so decent in almost every every way. The IQ is great even wide open and, being all metal, the build quality is excellent. The only glitch, minor in my opinion, is that the lens is difficult to critically focus when used for distant subjects. The lens comes with a screw-in cap, which I like because these never fall off. I'm going to pay more attention to TTartisan's offerings.

For the price, a good macro lens for my Fuji camera. Fits well, but camera functions do Not work with this lens...so you have to use the lens itself for any adjustments. The lens does have zoom adjustment, so you have some control over just how close up you want to get to the subject. I find this lens useful, and as a starter macro lens I am satisfied with it. But I will eventually get a more expensive macro lens that is truly compatible with the Fujifilm camera.
I got this for product photography for my eBay business. It is plenty sharp enough for that. I can't speak for it's sharpness in other applications. I super happy though, especially since I was trying to keep my business expenses as low as possible.
Was bummed out that the Fuji 60 could not go 1:1 looked at other imports but clicked on TT on impulse and price as if I really wanted top notch macro I have adapted Nikkors. Yep I am sounding kind of dumb. The lens is very well built the focus ring moves like it should with no play left or right as you dial in no slack, unlike its 35 f1.4 sister which has a tiny bit of slack. Was very impressed with its imaging qualtiy. In test I went from 2.8 up and must say the lens is sharp wide open but gets better. No definitve tests just shooting a couple of nik knacks on a bookshelf. So I feel its a good buy. My adapted Nikkors are limited by their cheap adaptors, my fault inherent cheapness so yes there is some guilt about throwing over Fuji and Nikon for this lens and I'll ... MoreWas bummed out that the Fuji 60 could not go 1:1 looked at other imports but clicked on TT on impulse and price as if I really wanted top notch macro I have adapted Nikkors. My adapted Nikkors are limited by their cheap adaptors, my fault inherent cheapness so yes there is some guilt about throwing over Fuji and Nikon for this lens and I'll have to figure how to deal with it. Calling it a Whim discredits the engineering and science that went into its production as well as the people that built it. Physical workers never get any credit but without them you would have nothing.
I am a jeweler and I needed something that could take better close-ups of my work, but I'm also an amateur film photographer (which I'm sure more of you can relate to than being a jeweler haha). I use this lens for capturing my negatives and it works great, the image product is more than good enough for me and the setup is super cheap and fast. For only a 100$ lens it's getting more use than some of my expensive lenses, so I'm getting some serious buck-bangage!
It's really hard to believe that a lens of this price can perform so well. It's well built, the focus ring is smooth and the clicked aperture ring enables easy selection. I used this lens to achieve 1:1 macro shots and as a normal 40mm lens on my Fuji cameras. I've owned Nikon and Tokina macro lenses at 5 times the price and honestly it performs just as good if not better. It handles chromatic aberrations very well. It's a totally manual lens so everything has to be set manually, which is not a problem for me. Using a mirrorless camera with focus peaking, it's very easy to nail focus. If you are thinking about buying the lens, just do it. You won't be disappointed.
This lens is a pleasure to shoot with. It is definitely one of the sharpest lenses I have ever shot with. It is a little less contrasty than I would normally like but this works well in helping me focus on small objects. My only complaints about this lens is that is does focus by extending the barrel and the focus throw is a bit short for my taste. Otherwise, given the price, this is another amazing value by TTartisan.
Very nice lens and like all TTartisan lenses well built. The images were very pleasing. I wanted to dabble in macro and this was a great introductory lens to see how far I want to go with this form of photography
