This product worked great! I contacted the twelvesouth staff before I ordered it and asked the following; I have an old school iPod that only has a 3.5 mm output jack for wired headphones or ear plugs. I wanted to plug the AirFly into the output of the iPod and transmit Bluetooth to wireless devices; Bluetooth headphones or stand-alone Bluetooth speakers or connect to Bluetooth in my car. I was told that I would have to purchase the AirFly Pro + to make this happen. That's $20 more. Found out the basic AirFly does exactly what I want for the cheap price. Customer Service Staff needs to be trained or quit trying to upsell for no reason.

I purchased an AirFly a little while ago but didn't have the opportunity to actually *use* it until I was on a very long flight to Hawaii recently. I got the standard free headphones from the flight attendant and tried to watch a movie, but the sound was so bad it was actually painful. I hadn't planned to use the AirFly -- I hadn't even set it up yet -- but I'd brought it along just in case, and I was able to get it working in a minute or two. The difference was night and day; the movie sound went from terrible to perfect, and I had a *much* better time watching movies for the rest of the flight. The AirFly saved the day for me!

I purchased this Airfly pro for my spouse who travels quite a bit. First comment was, I don't see headphone jacks on airplanes I fly on any more. Also, most of the plane "entertainment" centers on head rest in front of you have been removed as most airlines use their own network for entertainment, through the airlines app.Other reason I purchased was to use in my truck to play music through truck speakers, problem is, no headphone jack in truck and no headphone jack on my iPhone.This Airfly Pro isn't going to work for our family.

I got this product for use with various devices that don't support Bluetooth headphones so I could use my AirPods with them (Such as older gaming consoles like Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U) and I have to say it works really well - well worth purchasing. It was very easy to set up and the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. The device itself is nice and small and lightweight so easy to connect anywhere. It also comes with a little bag that can be use to carry the device. In terms of latency, I have noticed a very, very slight latency (though that could be the AirPods), however I find it barely noticeable and not at all to be a problem so far.
Very difficult to pair with multiple bluetooth devices present. The Airfly does not know which one to pair with. Had to take it into the backyard away from any bluetooth signals to get it to pair. The lag is pretty bad and the user experience is dreadful. Connected it to my television's headphone jack - the device sent the audio signal to my earbuds while still playing external audio via the TV.
It’s a clean design and works well. It is almost what I need.Are use it as a Bluetooth receiver and adapter to get my iPhone 13 into my 2008 truck stereo. The unit WONT pass cell phone audio, which Hi really need to be a hands-free Senior. I wonder why it does that? I wanted to be able to use my older wired noise canceling headphones with my new iPhone 13 via bluetooth. Frank at Customer Support was great at talking me through needing to buy a female to female 3.5 mm adapter to make it work. I also tested its ability to transmit by plugging it in to an old iPod shuffle and used bluetooth headphones, and that worked well, too. I also plugged it into my TV and didn't really notice any lag. What it doesn't do is transmit and receive at the same time, so you can't use it for phone calls, but that is clear from the description. Unlistenable quality when connected to 2 sets of headphones. I bought it so the kids could watch a movie together on a long drive. I used it on two flights so far. It was very easy to pair my AirPods Pro with. I used it on two flights. The first was just under three hours and the second was three hours. My AirPods stayed connected the entire time without any issues. I was even able to hear the movie while in the airplane restroom. The AirFly is small and lightweight.
