Twinings Earl Grey Black Tea Bags 100 Count Pack Of 1

My favourite tea ever. Delicious black or with milk. I’ve tried many brands of earl Grey but always come back to TWININGS nothing compares. It’s not the cheapest however it’s also still affordable. They do come in a large size box in addition to there smaller one which personally I find to be of perfect size as flavoured teas seem to be more of a one off. TWININGS tea always tastes so fresh and comes packaged in a foil wrapper for extra freshness. If I could give it more than 5⭐️ I would.

Apparently, buying 6-packs of the 3.53 oz is the cheapest per ounce. Going with the 7 oz tins results in a higher price per ounce, probably because of the sales volume of the smaller size. Some people complained when Twinings reformulated their Earl Grey back around 2011. I spent my teen years in the UK and fondly recall this as my favorite tea. I like the new blend even better, having a stronger bergamot flavor. I find this makes for a more refreshing and invigorating cup of tea due to the stimulating effects of the terpenes found in bergamot. With a Royal Appointment going back a couple centuries, you can never go wrong with Twinings. The company is finally working on their ethics as well and, while they are a bit late to the game, I believe, in time, the ethical questions about their trade and labor practices will go away. As a consumer, I am willing to accept the increase in price that comes with ethical production standards.

I had left a prior review for my love the Twinings Chai tea 🍵...so I decided to leave one for my other have which is actually the Early Grey but I saw the Lady Grey flavor and decided to give it a whirl. I'm more of a coffee ☕ person but sometimes ya need a calm tea to drink. This is it! From the sweet citrus 🍋🍊 aroma to the lightness , from the original Earl Grey flavor. My second favorite by far and will be buying again. Well I guess what's an Early Grey without the Lady or whatever but maybe it's the fact I like the name which reminds me of Fifty Shades of Grey 😂....worth every buck! Highly recommended!

I wouldn't classify myself as a tea snob, but I do really enjoy a variety of tea, and I'm picky when it comes to black tea. I want something strong, with a lot of body that will stand up to milk. Twinings is absolutely my go-to. I've tried loose leaf English Breakfast tea from Teavana and other specialty tea stores, and have always been disappointed. Their flavor is more plant-like, and less smokey, and overall weaker than Twinings. This tea also doesn't get bitter when I steep it for too long. Sometimes I forget, and it'll steep for 30 minutes. I just get a stronger cup of tea, not a bitter one.

I'm a tea snob, and outside of cold brew teas I hate the taste of tea bags. I swear I can taste the bleach used to whiten them and adding hot water just brings that taste out. Honestly this stuff isn't bad. I love an EG tea with a strong bergamot taste and this delivers. Add a splash of milk and a tiny amount of sweetener and its probably my favorite hot drink in the morning. That said it is milled fairly fine and thus it tends to collect at the bottom of my cup even with my tea strainer. With a tighter mesh strainer it should be ok however.

Cup at home, made from a teabag. Pours hazy dark brown (against white china) with sediment. Intense aroma of malt, bergamot oil, citrus and, well, horse manure, if you ask me, with some leafy notes of black tea. Bitter flavour of black tea, with some malty notes, and citric touches and hints of bergamot oil. Astringent palate with leafy and bergamot notes and very mild citric hint. Well, I like a good Early Grey but this one is, well, rather disappointing, especially in its aroma. I followed the instructions on the packaging, but it seems to me that I had overbrewed it in the end. The flavour, and certainly the scent, is not light, as the packaging says. Well, that was it. Fortunately, it wasn't expensive

Excellent lavender tea

To me, this is one of the finest blends of lavender infused teas. The blend of Earl Grey and lavender is perfect for those who enjoy strong tea as both tastes are balanced and blended to perfection. It is a caffeinated tea and will provide that boost of energy. It is a one tea bag use if you enjoy strong tea,The lavender is distinctive in the tea, it is not subtle so if you like the taste of lavender then this may be the tea for you. I find the bergamot compliments the flower tones very well. It’s a perfect tea for the early afternoon when you need a pick me up that is also aromatic and soothing.

Not as "bold" as expected

Twinings Earl Grey tea has been my favourite for decades, but sadly, since a few years ago their tea have changed taste and become much weaker. Tried this Extra Bold to check whether the strength has returned but disappointed that it’s not as extra bold or even bold. The bergamot taste is also much lacking. The Lady Grey loose leaf in 100g tin purchased from iHerb some time ago also had a very weak taste. Strangely, the Earl Grey loose tea in 200g tin I bought overseas had its original taste and more bergamot flavour, but this was two years ago before Covid stopped travel so perhaps by now it was also weakened?! Twinings is a quality brand well respected, so it's disappointing not to get the original Earl Grey taste and flavour.
