For starters, I think that these pads provide really good leak protection, and they’re very absorbent. These pads are really long in length, so it made it feel slightly awkward when wearing and it made it kind of difficult to stick the pad to my underwear; however, the wings did stick really well. I do not think that these are “thin” pads by any means- at least I certainly wouldn’t consider them so. They did feel slightly diaper like, but I do think that these would work really well for nighttime use. Like I said, they are incredibly absorbent, and I think that the addition of the charcoal is a really nice touch. Overall, I don’t think I’ll be purchasing these to use again, but that’s more of a personal preference on my end. This brand of Kotex used to be my favorite for many years but as I’ve gotten older and my flow has changed, these pads no longer do it for me. First off, they are much thinner than what they used to be in previous years and shorter in length (even the ultra long). Also they are not as thick as before. For light flow days, they are fine but even then they tends bunch up in the back so I always have leaks. Unfortunately I have had to change to Always pads who were never my favorite, but do make a thick, long pad for overnight and heavier flows that do prevent my leakage. Sadly, I will no longer be purchasing Kotex.

I’ve been buying these pads for awhile now and have always liked them until the last purchase. Every single pad refuses to detach from my underwear. Every pair of my underwear now has big pieces of the wings stuck under the crotch area and it refuses to come off! I am so mad! I guess in order to save my underwear now I will have to put work in to get it off. I’ve found that freezing it will allow it to be pulled off. Absolutely ridiculous! One of the pads even refused to separate from my underwear right where the soiled part is, and I was at work when it happened! I hope I just got a bad pack. I’m going to buy a new pack to see, and if they are the same, I won’t be buying them anymore! Having to deal with a period is a nuisance enough, without having to deal with ... MoreI’ve been buying these pads for awhile now and have always liked them until the last purchase. So far out of all the brands and styles I've tried, these are my favorite pantyliners. They are longer than normal, so they don't cut off where you need the absorption the most. They rarely bunch up, and they are thin and pliable. So it's not like dealing with those tiny cardboard feeling ones that make you walk funny because they feel horrible. I have to wear them 24/7 for the past 8 years (Kotex is my preferred brand even when I had periods), and I can count on one hand how many times I've had any chaffing or sensitivity due to the pantyliners. As long as Kotex continues making this length and style, I will continue to use them.
I read the reviews saying they had been updated but I couldn't find an alternative with a soft cover (always has that plastic weave that causes rashes) so I bought them any way. I've tried six pads total hoping the first couple were a fluke - NOPE! THEY SUCK!!! First, they are thinner and don't absorb as much as quickly. Second, the plastic/adhesive has changed and the plastic TEARS leaving sticky strips on your underwear and a bloody pad in your hand. And this is only after a four hour use - FOUR HOURS! (did not include a pic because I was covered in blood) Third, because they've changed the materials they bunch and fold pretty often. Not sure what I'm going to buy now but I definitely won't get these again. I WANT MY MONEY BACK ASAP!! I’ve been using this pad for years and have been generally satisfied as it performs well during the day. However, nights have been difficult on heavy flow days. I don’t know if it’s the new pads design or changes in the material that haven’t been working for me lately this past year. Within the last three months, I have woken up in the middle of the night due to leaks. One month, I woke up to the sensation of blood running over my leg as I slept on my side. There was a large spot on my bed where it had been collecting as I slept. When I stood up, my whole front was soaked. When I went to the bathroom to clean up and shower, I noticed the pad in the back was empty and clean but the front was extremely heavy and soaked with blood. There was a large spot on my bed where it had been collecting as I slept. When I stood up, my whole front was soaked. When I went to the bathroom to clean up and shower, I noticed the pad in the back was empty and clean but the front was extremely heavy and soaked with blood. After showering and getting a new pair of underwear, I decided to reverse the pad to help protect me the remainder of the night. It worked well for the front but failed at the back. I should have doubled up on pads! The following month, a similar incident occurred with staining the bed. Today, January 31st, I was awakened to a similar sensation at 3:00 a.m. This time, however, I woke up before any blood made it to the bed. As I was rolling up the soaked pad, blood was coming out of the sides and dripped to the floor which was surprising to me since I have never experienced that before with any pads. I’m at a loss on what to do now at night to ensure there are no leaks. I don’t know if it’s happening because I’m a side sleeper and the blood tends to collect in the front and doesn’t travel backwards?! I would definitely recommend that the front is also made wider and longer to protect against leaks at night. This product was reviewed on ubykotex.com
I don't understand who made this type of business decision. If the old tampons were falling apart and you guys were sued...why not improve them? You see that MANY people loved them. It is far more that it didn't give issues compared to those it did. It is ABSOLUTELY no other product out here that works for most of us. My mother who hasn't had a period in 30 years used these tampons and I started when I was 14. I am now 47 and probably won't need them in a few years, but it is many others that will. The best business decision is to go back to the drawing board and redesign this tampon based on the many testimonials. You make these products for the consumers and you're not listening to us. We keep getting a basic response of it was a business decision or try ... MoreI don't understand who made this type of business decision. We keep getting a basic response of it was a business decision or try U-click...IT DOESN'T WORK! I am not sure what else we can do to make you guys listen. If I owned a business...I would manufacture my products on what the consumer wanted and needed. You continue to see a product that your consumers keep telling you doesn't work. How does that make any sense? Good for business? Making you any money? People have left and started purchasing other brands and you guys still not listening. How are you still in business? Please take time to listen to us and make a better business decision. It sounds like all that was needed was a little update to what was already working. If the tampon was falling apart..work on that issue. The decision shouldn't been to totally discontinue a product that you have people BEGGING for. My goodness! I can come there and help you design a tampon that will work. We can rebrand the old one under a new name with better features. Let's work together to give the consumers what they want. I am available! Please reach out!
I never thought I would be writing a review for a pad, but I’m so beyond frustrated that I had to voice my opinion. Did they even test this pads before releasing them? They have a huge design flaw! The adhesive is stronger than the pad itself. Which causes the pad to rip and come apart and be impossible to remove in one piece. They have ruined several pairs of panties and made me waste precious time trying to pick at the pad remains stuck to my underwear. All while my child is in the hospital and I need to go to the bathroom quickly. These pads don’t work. Kotex should remove it from the market, and compensate all who have bought them.
I wasted money on this product thinking that this was something i can use for a while. My first thought was they are thin and second its something i never even imagined to be a thing these days but i was wrong. This product should not be on the shelves giving the fact that its false advertising and just out to rip you off. These are not for a period if it causes me to bleed through my clothes for not having it on for no more than and hour. Lucky i was at home when this happened. The fact they are thin gave me instinct anxiety upon wearing just two! i can't do this since the Walmart brand i use was out of stock. Im out of Money and confidence in this sham of a product that has me hurrying to another store to quickly find something else within my budget. I have been a Kotex U Security user for years, and since I discovered these pads I have noticed a significant difference in my monthly symptoms. Through rather difficult circumstances I found out that I am highly sensitive to titanium dioxide. As a result I am no longer able to use ANY of your products because of the heart palpitations, shortness of breath, and severe nausea that I experience when using pads with this ingredient in them. I want to thank you for adding an ingredient in your product that is known to cause menstrual symptoms, has been banned in other countries, and is known to cause cancer. There is nothing safe and secure about it!
