I really like the design of this garbage pail for diapers. It allows you to close it fully to keep the smell out of the room. It's also nice that it's made of metal so you can clean it easily. However, every time the bag needs to be changed, I struggle to pull it out of the canister. It gets suctioned inside and needs considerable force to be pulled out. Not sure how to release that pressure to make changing the bag easier.

I was gifted a diaper genie for my son and used it with him, and didn’t know any better. But with my daughter I started being bothered by having to buy those liners for inside, they are expensive and honestly always ended up being wasteful. Plus I found they were ripping easily and I would find little blue pieces of plastic from the liner on the ground after I’d change the bag which I worried was a choking hazard. I did my research and decided it was more economical to buy the Ubbi diaper pail than to keep buying those annoying liners. I have only been using the Ubbi for one week so far but I’m in love. It keeps the smell in much better (I think because it’s steel). I am currently 5 months pregnant so I’m not completely sure how this will work for us. I wished it was a little larger but who knows it could be perfect. The color (marble) is stunning and elegant. The products itself seems overall very well made and sturdy. It’s very convenient that it doesn’t take any special bags, regular home trash bags seem to fit perfectly. The ordering was extremely easy and the delivery was right on time. Fingers crossed it’s the perfect one for us

This diaper pail is awesome! I added it to my registry after seeing it on so many Best Of lists. IMO it lives up to the hype. It is nice and compact for it fits in small spaces and doesn't take up a ton of room. It definitely holds in the stink!! I have mine within arm's reach of my glider in the nursery and I do not smell any stinky diapers while I'm nursing baby. It can use regular kitchen trash bags. My son is 3 months old and produces a good amount of diapers per day. I change the bag about 1-2 times per week. I got the pale green color and it looks so nice in our light green nursery.
Owner this pail for over a year. Ended up using it out in the garage as the doodoo pail. Once you open this thing to out a diaper in, the smell of collected diapers over a week hits you and stays in the air. We ended up throwing outs away this morning as a fly ended up going in and made babies. Larvae was everywhere. When the lid opened tons of tiny poop flies would go everywhere. Wasted money on this. Our two arm and hammer diaper geneie's that were much cheaper we've had for over 4 years are completely outperforming this one. I'm baffled that this makes top picks on YouTube, they must be getting paid...
Favorite diaper pail! This my second time purchasing the Ubbi diaper pail as I am about to have my second boy! You don't have to use the Ubbi trash bags (although I prefer them because they are much thicker and sturdier than normal trash bags), and it totally seals in the stink. It also has a handy lock and unlock knob on top to keep toddler's from hiding toys in the diaper pail. My only tip would be to not overstuff your trash bag, as this can create a super strong vacuum effect between the pail and bag, and can be kinda difficult to shimmy the bag out of the pail. Bought it in grey this time! :D
With my first kid we had the diaper genie and had no major complaints other than it was an eye sore. With our second we got the ubbi because it was slightly better looking. But it is terribly designed. There is nothing holding in the smell when you open it (diaper genie shuts the diapers off when you open), it stinks up the room instantly. The dirty diaper smell remains even with a fresh bag change. It also creates condensation in there which is just gross. And once you have the convenience of a foot opener like the genie it kind of sucks to have to open by hand, especially as the baby gets older and wigglier. Definitely would not recommend, I have no idea why these are so popular.
I purchased the Ubbi Diaper Pail primarily to avoid having to keep purchasing the refill bags for the other diaper pail we previously had. However, after receiving the Ubbi and realizing the size and design fit us much better, my husband and I agreed that the Ubbi was a great purchase. The capacity for diapers is large and we like being able to use our own bags instead of buying expensive refill bags. Plus, the ease of just sliding the lid open with one hand (and locking it so our 2 year old stays out!) is very helpful. With a few questions answered by Ubbi's wonderful customer service, I am impressed. Overall, it was a great purchase!
This diaper pail is excellent quality. Sturdy, tough, aesthetically appealing, and keeps the stink locked away. Even better than the diaper pail is the excellent customer service. They truly go above and beyond to make sure the customer is satisfied and beyond. Will definitely recommend Ubbi diaper pail to all my friends and family.
We use these diaper pails and they really keep the smell contained. They fill pretty quickly. I can also used regular garbage bags in it and do not need to get special ones which I appreciate. we have 2 in different rooms. The lid is a bit hard to open and it doesn't slide open that smoothly but overall I would recommend them. We have the chevron and the marble one and they have a nice look as well. Functional and look good too.
