Superb switch if you're in the Unifi ecosystem, but the pricing is all out of control. There are other good brands doing the same for half the price like QNAP and TPLink for instance, this is def paying the ubiquiti tax to have all in one console

Great Switch

I have a few ubiquiti switches and this is my first enterprise one. I do like the form factor of the ports spread across the switch, enables neater cabling. It has more features than I even currently need but wanted to future proof myself.

Great switch, realiable.

I bought this switch for the fact that it is a little faster on my network. I am still learning a lot about IT but I know that this switch works great and keeps my network at home runnning smoothly. Great switch!

It's working beautifully

It's working great. I was able to get it installed and working with minimal fuss. And I'm by no means a professional with setting up networks.I initially connected it to my router (a brand-new UDM-SE) via a standard Cat6 Ethernet cable. This worked flawlessly and I was up and running in no time.About a week later I decided to order an SFP+ 10G cable and try to connect it that way, since it would be cleaner in my rack. (Not that I really needed 10G, because I'm a residential user and my WAN is a cable modem.) When I connected the SFP+ cable and rebooted both the router and the switch, it failed to connect. After puzzling around on the Interwebs for a bit, I tried manually changing my router's SFP+ port settings from auto-negotiate to 1G, and then rebooted the ... MoreIt's working great. Technology is always advancing, so I'm sure they'll come out with a 10G version of this switch at some point down the road.

Nice - Short -Fan less

I replaced an older 16 port with this second gen USW and am well pleased. The networks seem much more responsive with no network hiccups noted. It is physically shorter than the usual switch so it can be used in smaller racks. Detects and powers PoE devices seamlessly. Note that only 16 ports are PoE with a 95 watt budget. The ports are SFP not SFP+ so using SFP with the UDMP or NVR4 is not reliable.

Outstanding multi-gig switch

This is one of the best PoE switches on the market. I've had one in service for about a year and a half, and it's very solid. Pair it with other Unifi devices for best results. I'm really not a bot, this switch is outstanding. I'm awaiting more stock to order one more.

Seemingly died for no reason

We use Ubiquiti equipment throughout our complex and everything has worked great. This particular unit we purchased seemingly failed very early, after only 2-3 months. It was plugged into a surge strip, along with a few other smaller devices. We noticed that some PoE security cameras plugged into this switch were showing offline. Upon investigating the switch was powered on, could be seen from the UniFi console but no ports were showing connections. No combination of rebooting or even resetting to factory default made any of the ports start functioning again. The unit was warrantied without issue and the replacement has been working fine since. We have since upgraded the power strip in that location to a UPS instead.

Worth the Wait

I started upgrading my Unifi network to its 2nd interation in fall 2022. The last piece of the puzzle was this Unifi Enteprise 24 POE which was out of stock until summer 2023. Featuring 24 ports, 400W of POE and 12 - 2.5GbE ports, it makes the perfect switch for servicing my office and AV rooms. It's reasonably quiet with POE load. 10GbE SFP cages provide upstream connectivity to firewalls or switches. So far it's been complaint free serving my 2nd floor 2.5GbE AP as well computer, multimedia, and cameras. But it offers a powerful set of tools such as VLANs, considerable configuration flexibility, and frequent patches and security updates. loud but lots of 2.5gbe and POE+

I used this to replace two smaller switches - 16 and 8 ports - and this one is much louder than the combination of everything else in my home office. I'm using under 13 watts and not much bandwidth. I also had issues with connectivity to a 10gbe Sabrent adapter that has worked with a previous Unifi 2.5gbe switch. I hope this is fixed with a future software update.It's not all bad, though. The single-row layout is great, and I really like the small screen. I am able to get 2.35 Gbits/sec (iperf3) over short distances of CAT5e.
