Ultimate Ears Everboom Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Cobalt Blue

I’ll start by saying this speaker truly delivers on all its promises - an incredible Bluetooth range, fantastic bass, beautiful outdoor sound quality when the function is toggled on, and convenient portability! I’m not the type to need to use its flotation or waterproof functions, but if you are, those are solid as well. My only suggestion - don’t bother downloading the EQ app they recommend to use with the product! Luckily, it isn’t required to download for setup or use - it’s offered as kind of a bonus, to allow for toggling between connected users and adjusting sound quality specifics for the type of music you plan to play. There is an impressive range of connectivity that allows me move around while staying connected without interruption. I tried it at the park and walked far away and was still able to stay connected and keep the fun going. Another thing that I enjoy about this speaker is the paring feature which allows for connection and syncing with other models from Ultimate Ears providing an even bigger sound experience and permits me to connect with my friends music tastes. My best friend has a Mega Boom so we are going to sync our speakers for louder more immersive music at our next party. I also really appreciate the sleek appearance of the speaker. I think the volume up and down buttons being on front of the speaker is really practical so you don’t accidentally hit a different button and turn off the speaker. Also, the black and lime green is really attractive and tech-forward and the marbling of the lime green specks into the top and bottom of the speaker makes it look super cool and slick on my shelf. Overall, the Ultimate Ears EVERBOOM speaker is an exceptional speaker with great, crystal-clear sound quality, impressive battery life, easy use for on-the-go, and many customizable options through the UE Boom app. Would highly recommend this speaker, especially for someone who needs something for the indoors and outdoors and likes to have fun!

I’ve been using this speaker for the past few days with family for outdoor usage, and it’s absolutely gnarly. We were actually really surprised at how loud this thing got, and the amount of dynamic range (bass, treble) the EVERBOOM throws out is great for its size. We were genuinely surprised at how much power is in this package. Another feat that we thought this speaker excelled at was battery life. We used it for 3 days, about 4-5 hours each, with no charging in-between. The battery life is extremely solid. Also, the waterproofing is a really nice feature as well. Brought this in the shower to test, and worked perfectly during a rinse. Haven’t tested out floating with submerging the speaker in water, but will be testing this weekend with a trip to the lake! Only real gripe is using the outdoor boost function while out and about. Can’t really tell the difference with it on or off, both sound. Also, the app is a bit of a pain to navigate, but you don’t have to use it, it works as a regular Bluetooth speaker. Overall, it definitely gets 5 stars from me. Very high quality speaker for the price point.

You can use the outdoor boost setting it has for it to be louder when you're outdoors. Straight out of the box this speaker was very easy to switch on and set up searching for a Bluetooth device. The app was also super easy to set up and then paired with the speaker. The remote control aspect of the app also works well.The product is very well manufactured and looks stylish. It has a simple, solid design. The big plus and minus volume controls are simple and fun to use, and being able to use this outside now makes gardening much more of a pleasure, especially with the outside boost function! It boosts the lower frequencies that would not normally be as audible out of my phone's microphone. The silicone base means the speaker can be put down on a damp/wet surface and won't be damaged; it just needs a wipe down with a dry cloth. The temporary film cover includes written labels, but once this is taken off, you're reliant on memory. The hard to make out icons have no distinction against the base silicone they are printed on, so I shall leave the film cover on.Overall I am enjoying using this speaker which has 20 hours of playtime and allows me to control my music directly from the speaker, clear user instructions are included together with a 2 year guarantee.

This speaker was so easy to set up. I was able to use it straight from the box; connecting via bluetooth on my phone. It came ready charged with 40% battery. Very well boxed and is a really neat sized speaker. It comes provided with a carabiner; useful to hook onto a high level setup so the sound is elevated, and also comes with a charging cable (no plug included).I downloaded the UE boom app which gives some nice control features. It's a simple setup and apparently allows for up to 150 paired speakers!... Maybe I'll look to get a 2nd speaker for a stereo setup. You can remotely turn the speaker on and off via the app which is useful. I haven't tried the 'one touch' playlist as Spotify isn't currently supported. The five presets of EQ on the app are useful but is also fully adjustable to sound preference. 'Bass Boost' preset gives a richer deep sound proving this small speaker can hit a quality sound. Some tracks struggled in hitting full bass so may need to switch the EQ depending type of music listening to, to avoid any distortion.Thankfully I've not yet dropped the speaker so can't comment on durability but it certainly feels a sturdy speaker.I have tested it out in the pool and it does float and still works with good sound. Not sure I would have it bobbing around the pool but safe knowing if it were to be knocked in the water it would survive.A really well made robust speaker and has all the features you would need for parties and gatherings. I would fully recommend this if you are looking for an outdoor portable speaker.

Upon opening the box you have a small box of accessories in which you will find the usb c charging cable and a handy caribiner clip which allows you securely fix the speaker when you are out and about.To the speaker itself, it's a nice weight and rugged.
