Un Jardin Sur Le Toit Eau De Toilette Spray by Hermes - 100 ml

The package arrived on time and it looked great just like any other Hermes i ordered for my collection. I actually called the distributor to see if they’re legit since i realized they only have 2 stars. I honestly thought i should have ordered it from the one with 5 stars but it was too late when i noticed. Anyway i like this perfume, it has more vegetables and green scent. If you prefer natural scents like mangoes and unique sharpness of tomatoes scent this one’s for you although this scent is not for everyone. Hermes scents are either you’ll love it or hate it. Since it is that wonderful holiday time of the year I found myself in Sephora wandering around checking out make up products and fragrances. I had only ever smelled Hermes perfumes in department stores but never the Eau de toilettes. I am incredibly disappointed that I hadn't tested these sooner! The Un Jardin Sur Le Nil is such a fresh clean scent reminiscent of a fresh garden. I absolutely love it and this may end up being my new every day scent. I did not however end up purchasing from #sephora as they only had smaller sizes available. The gift set was from #Saks5thAvenue. I highly recommend this scent, the price is similar to other higher end brands e.g. Chanel.

I am sooo picky about fragrance. I have the type of skin that doesn’t mesh well with a lot of perfumes—a fragrance will smell incredible on my friend and when I try it, it smells strongly of rubbing alcohol. This fragrance is the exception. It is one of the prettiest scents I have ever tried. It smells so light and fresh, yet so sexy and mature. This would make such a beautiful wedding scent, or a gorgeous fragrance to take on a special trip so you can always associate the memory when you smell it! I cannot recommend this enough!

I love it!! There have been rumors that the scent has been reformulated recently to smell weaker and artificial so I will update this review once I get into the new bottle. I hope the rumors are wrong, because no other scent in this scent profile has ever come close!

I don’t know how to even describe this scent, I was really skeptical that I would like it when I first heard I was recovering this to test out. I’m not a fan of floral scents I prefer more fruity, sweet and musk scents I have been getting more into clean scents and I think this is a very clean scent. At first I was just picking up floral but once I put it on my skin it became this clean citrus almost woodsy scent that smells great. I am pleasantly surprised and I would recommend to anyone who likes a clean masculine floral. That is the best I could describe it, and this scent is bold so a little will go a long way.

So I will say I don’t dislike the scent. It’s just very strong. I would say the scent is strong like a cologne but has this kind of citrus scent that makes it work for women too. But this is definitely a one spray and you’re good fragrance. It lasts a very long time. So no need to constantly spray yourself again and again. I was trying to get a good description of the scent but just couldn’t put it to words. My 11 year old daughter loved it and when I asked her to describe the scent she said “it reminds me of Friday nights. when dad is getting out of the shower and you have 5 maybe 6 minutes to get ready so you can go to your favorite restaurant.” Overall I would definitely recommend checking this one out. Fresh, light and memorable

I sampled this at Ogilvie in downtown Montreal and loved how fresh and not overpowering it was. I don't purchase perfumes but I had to get this one. It smells fresh, quaint and sophisticated- all while being light. While European perfumes often conjure ideas of strong, dramatic scents, this one manages to be attention getting without all the stuffiness. The best way to describe it is the scent of luxe hotels or their bathroom amenities. If you love green tea or verbena scents, you will love this. I get headaches or difficulty breathing from perfumes, but this doesn't give me side effects. It also lasts all day.

Hermes Jardin sur le Nil

I absolutely love this Hermes scent but after one bottle I couldn't justify the expense. Too much money for a notoriously fleeting scent. So I was galvanized to finally see Jardin sur le Nil here and immediately ordered the largest size OP offers, fingers crossed. It's perfect. It's all there for me, the full unusual aqueous green sharp floral scent, the longevity, the soft cloud surround, the price, the glass bottle. Very happy. More than happy. I've made a couple blind purchases here that have not rung my chimes (fragrance being very personal and descriptions almost meaningless to the actual experience), but this was a known scent and OP totally aced it.

Perfect for Summer!

Hermes has the market on fresh, aquatics cornered, in the best way. Though technically a designer fragrance, the quality is always more along the lines of niche. The scent stories are always imaginative, different and (until copied by everyone else, which is truly the highest compliment) bespoke. This one is no different. The mango steals the show in the best way and the longevity is quite surprising for an eau de toilette. Highly recommended.

lasting scent

I’ll start by saying this scent was not for me. It has a very strong scent. One spray and you’re good for the day. It lasts a long time. Although I wasn’t fond of the smell, I did have multiple people say they did like it. I can’t really describe the scent other than strong like a cologne but with citrus notes that make it work for a woman also. I’d say check it out. It wasn’t my favorite but you might love it. I asked my 11 year old daughter to describe the scent (She loves it) and she said “it reminds me of Friday nights. When dad is getting out the shower and you have 5, maybe 6 minutes to get ready to go to your favorite restaurant.”
