Universal Audio Golden Reverberator Pedal
Harnessing more than 20 years of reverb modeling expertise, UAFX Golden Reverberator puts a trio of iconic reverbs right at your feet. The tube-driven spring reverb of classic ’60s guitar amps. The dense and haunting sound of ’50s studio plate reverbs. The endless algorithmic wonder of early digital reverb hardware. Built upon powerful UAFX dual‐engine processing and unprecedented levels of sonic authenticity, Golden Reverberator is a flagship, no‐compromise reverb unit, built to inspire you for decades. The tube-driven spring reverb from classic '60s American guitar amps is a heavenly sound like no other. But no two spring reverb tanks sound alike. So UA auditioned over two dozen tanks, ultimately handpicking and modeling three tanks from a trio of vintage amps. Unlike other spring reverb emulations, UA's "whole amp" approach faithfully captures each reverb circuit's unique tube clipping character. The end result is all the drip, clang, whistles, and overtones of real tube‐driven spring reverb. The dense, haunting sound of late-1950s studio plate reverb is integral to more than 60 years of classic recorded guitar tones. Golden Reverberator's three uniquely voiced plates — sourced from The Plant recording studio in Sausalito, California — frame your tones in hazy ambience as warm as the midday sun. Plus, you can easily add ripples of rich analog modulation to add texture.Introduced in the late 1970s, digital studio reverb allowed progressive guitarists to venture further into atmospheric exploration — fueling the platinum pop and alt‐rock guitar tones of the ‘80s, ‘90s, and beyond. Golden Reverberator's Hall 224 effect gives you the exact, bit-for-bit algorithms of a studio staple, with all of their lush, grainy trails and mesmerizing modulation textures.

Universal audio knocks it out of the park again. Thanks to American musical for carrying such a quality pedal and a portable platform. The reverb effects are phenomenal and as good as anything you can purchase in a desktop unit. Probably the best River pedal I've heard, the only downfall is it only has a few selections but they sound phenomenal.

Refined bit of kit that sounds nice. Not as many fancy goings-on as with the main competitor's pedal, but the Golden's sound is nicer to my ears. I'm using it for guitar and synth. For Linux users:I did have to give-in and buy an old Windows laptop as I couldn't get the update to work under Linux and Wine - and without the initial update the phone App won't work and you can't get the 'bonus' functionality. If I had know it wouldn't update under Linux I would probably have gone for the Strymon as I have one of their other pedals and its software does work under Linux and Wine.

I'm a bedroom guitar player who noodles around for fun. This pedal was a bit of a splurge for me as it's fairly pricey for what I do. That said - the pedal hasn't left my "board" since it arrived. I don't do much tweaking - I'm a set it and run with it kinda guy - and i find it super easy to get beautifully lush Spring/Plate/Hall reverbs with just a few twists of a knob. Easy to use is big for me and this works (although you can tweak plenty if you want) - but the reverb sounds are the star here. Just superb. Is the pedal worth the MSRP? Hard to say - it's pricey but boy does it sound great!

This thing just _shimmers_. You can dial the springs/plate/hall up on Vox and instruments to get that Joe Meek thing happening, or be really subtle and just have it add presence to your guitar. Tried this chained to the Fender Smoulder Acoustic OD, and goddamn so I sound like Lee Hazelwood now, even on my Coke Clark! Highly recommended.
Best sounding reverb pedal I've owned out of Strymon Flint, Empress Reverb, Meris Mercury 7 and Walrus Fathom. This is leagues ahead in terms of sound quality. Amazingly accurate spring and plate, and the Lexicon 224 setting has all the ambient goodness you'll ever need. Beautiful.
This reverb is the closest thing to a studio rack unit I've ever heard. It does standard reverb sounds extremely well but it also excels at washy pads, chorus, lengthy soundscapes with infinite decay etc when you learn the controls. The best reverb pedal I've heard ever, and I've heard a few good ones! Inspirational for songwriting, if it's in your budget, just get one. Awesome unit. And you can save presets to the app so lots of hidden functionality. I now have 48 presets including the factory and artist ones that come free when you register. And you can recall them very very easily at the touch of a button. App works seamlessly! Just buy!
Poorly implemented BlueTooth and UAFX features as clearly documented by several customers on the Web.I my case, pairing between my phone and the pedal only works after many attempts and still, it finds a way to lose connection shortly after. The UAFX phone app does not display any of the promised features even when paired. The pedal sounds absolutely phenomenal. That being said, I will return it. This built quality is inadequate for the premium price. It is a matter of principle. Just give me what I paid for, no more, no less.
UA know what they are doing. This is a killer reverb for people looking to up their game. Its up there with Strymon quality and pricewise. The simplicity with which you can get killer soundscapes is what made me purchase this pedal and it does not dissapoint.
There's a guy on YouTube from Sweetwater who demos how to make this pedal play Twinkle Twinkle sound like you are playing All Along The Watch Tower. If you want that sixties/seventies arena sound, it pops off good.
Well I have always like spring reverb. This pedal does that very well with 3 diffrent flavors of spring. They can drip and splash as good or better than any, even some tube driven amps tank reverb. To me where this pedal is diffrent is the plate reverb. It adds a depth and warmth that is so 3 dimensional its crazy. This alone is worth the price. The other reverb settings are great also but to me it's the plate. There are no menus to navigate no midi both of which I'm glad. I feel like the money went into the sound and processing ability other than making it feature rich pedal. This is a very easy pedal to work and get great sounds. I play a PRS S2 Vela into a supro royal reverb= awesome thanks to my sales rep Roq for the recommendation!
