The tape flutter feature is pretty amazing. It emulates three EP3s at different stages. The memory man setting is also very close to the original.

Sounds incredible. I remember when strymon el capistan came out and I always wanted it to have ping pong rhythmic divisions with the tape crinkle splice in the mix, well this one dose that and more. Sounds very authentic. The box it arrives in has a velvet texture and inside the box is all black padded cushion material. Super premium stuff. The pedal is a navy colour in person as in the videos iv seen it looks black we're the controls are.Doesn't come with an ac adapter.

Absolutely dead on emulations. Not to mention expandability thru usb c as well as a solid construction build. An absolute deal at this price for a hardware/software unit of this magnitude

Overall:I absolutely love this pedal. It is hands down the finest delay pedal I have ever owned. Admittedly, I was skeptical when UA first started hyping their pedal line. I had no doubt they would be quality-made effects and would sound good, but rolled my eyes at yet another "tape echo simulator" and digitally modeled analog delay. However, the more samples I heard, the more curious I was. I bought it and I am so glad I did - this thing is freaking great! The Analog DMM sounds as good as the finest big box Memory Man I owned (I've owned several), and the EP-3 modes are absolutely gorgeous. I actually really like the Cooper Time Cube as well for short delay times with a lot of repeats, and using the subdivisions knob I can get almost Echorec-like sounds in that ... The Analog DMM sounds as good as the finest big box Memory Man I owned (I've owned several), and the EP-3 modes are absolutely gorgeous. I actually really like the Cooper Time Cube as well for short delay times with a lot of repeats, and using the subdivisions knob I can get almost Echorec-like sounds in that mode. The Precision mode sounds very good as well, although I don't anticipate I will use it much. As far as features go, it's perfect for me. I don't want to go diving through submenus and secondary features. This offers up tons of versatility with minimal effort. The ability to switch between live and preset modes is an awesome and practical feature. In short, I have no hesitation in saying this is the finest delay pedal I have ever owned. Calling it a pedal doesn't really do it justice. Obviously, these things are subjective, but for what I like to play, this pedal is amazing, and I love it to pieces.
Obviously top notch build quality. Easy to dial in the different modes. Wouldn’t be the first multi mode delay I’d recommend, but it’s obvious the quality is there.
The sounds in this pedal are very good. The EP3 tape mode and the precision in particular are excellent. But it suffers from a lack of additional presets or midi so I find myself loathed to change or experiment in case I lose the good settings I've found. Also this thing is really particular about power, I had to buy a new power supply to run the three UAFX pedals on their own even though my existing PSUs run everything I own without problems.
The UA Starlight is a fantastic delay. Sounds great through clean and overdriven sounds. Very tape like. I've had basically all the high-end delay pedals and I have to say this pedal is far better than 90% competition. If you enjoy the thick sound of tape but hate the spooling nightmares this is the right pedal for you. 400mA power supply required.
Good pedal. Great sound. Feels a bit plasticy. Expensive and glad I am not disappointed.
