Valentino Born in Roma Donna Eau De Parfum Intense 50ml

Okay, my 2¢ review for... *drumroll...* Valentino Donna Born In Roma Intense Top: Bourbon Vanilla Amber Middle: Jasmine Base: Benzoin What I get: Top: Blackberries/Blackcurrant Middle: Bourbon Vanilla, Coconut Amber Bottom: Pink Pepper, Jasmine, Benzoin At first spray I get dark berries. IDKY but its like a syrupy blackberry mixed with maybe tarte raspberries maybe even a warm juicy boysenberry or blackcurrant. It is something very dark, berry-esque, syrupy immediately! It is short lived but not so short it isn't caught to enjoy. I just LOVE a good dark berry note want them to last forever. This was a nice surprise because it definitely isn't listed in the notes but my nose doesn't miss a berry note...EVA! This opening is extremely entoxicating. It is a thick, rich, dense dose of notes OMG, dare I say I am also getting something creamy maybe coconut-ish coming in. It kind of reminds me of this bag of dried toasted coconut shavings I love to snack on from Targé. The coconut is a split moment in time but that creaminess is thick sitting. The vanilla coconut I feel come in together but do a dance trading off who leads until that vanilla starts hitting its solo. Here comes this dense, boozy, creamy vanilla escorting these jasmine flowers in. The jasmine is similar to TF Jasmine Rouge in the sense that the Jasmine is strong heavy BUT it is far from them being the same scent as TF JR But the strength of the jasmine note is a shared stage between them She never goes sharp due to the vanilla that keeps her edges smooth rounded. It also has this tickle of pink pepper??? It isn't listed as a note but something about the Jasmine tickles your nose in a similar way to TF JR, which has a pepper (not pink) note. That aspect is very similar to that airy tickle DNA that we get in the OG DBIR. The DNA that captivated us all drowned us dark vanilla heaven. The warmth of the amber builds from the beginning. I think that it helped the jasmine to shine in all its glory w/o getting dirty, sharp, or nasty too It felt like a warm, sensual hug around the jasmine that made it extremely captivating sexy...in a mysterious type of sultry way. I almost feel like this would be fitting with the "Noir" in the title. The packaging should have been switched to a nice rich aubergine color It would have gave the packaging the same energy this screams on skin But that is a conversation for another day. #FireMarketing Lol As it we enter drydown it is very very warm, mysterious, sexy This vanilla is similar to the YSL BO Le parfum vanilla. It isn't Tihota nor is it liqueur like Kayali. It is like I had vanilla pods in front of me I am "scraping the pod" type of vanilla. There is a little bit of that airy pepper vibe in the nose bleed seating of this scent (Lol) It is just enough to really cheer this vanilla to the top prevents it from falling into a skin hovering vanilla scent. She is definitely full lips, wearing a luxe lipstick color. All we see is her dark shadow silhouette. She is in trench coat, all black of course. Her pumps have a heel that praises the fragrance heavens a Yonce black "Lemonade" hat. She is tall statuesque, commands attention because of the mysterious sultry energy she exudes. She's like a Noir Carmen San Diego. Definitely date night, club night, dinner at Barton G's night. I want to bathe in this but I know this will not only have me in a chokehole Lol It will actually choke you out if you over spray. #SprayerBeware Lol Three Words: Sultry Mysterious Intoxicating IDK who loves it or hates it But my big gal has a nice dent in her. I will be grabbing another with 0 hesitation!

I received this item free from Influenster and Valentino. Let’s get this out of the way first, I’m terrible at picking up scent notes in fragrance. That said the notes listed for this perfume are: Top notes are Bourbon Vanilla and Amber; middle note is Jasmine; base note is Benzoin. I think intense describes this correctly. It is very strong and has some serious lasting power. From the Bourbon vanilla and benzoin, I was expecting this to have more a noticeable vanilla scent. You know those perfumes that smell sort of generic and like a dozen others? That was this fragrance to me. Fragrance is such a personal preference, my review should definitely be taken with a grain of salt. I did pass this this along to my mother and she wasn’t crazy about it either, but she did ... MoreI received this item free from Influenster and Valentino. Fragrance is such a personal preference, my review should definitely be taken with a grain of salt. I did pass this this along to my mother and she wasn’t crazy about it either, but she did receive some compliments when she wore it. The only thing I can say for sure is that if you are looking for more of a light and fresh fragrance, then this is not the one for you. Even with the vanilla and benzoin, I would not consider this a gourmand fragrance either. It is definitely more of a night time, date night, sexy and mature fragrance. Also, I’m not sure if it’s because I haven’t purchased or really looked at any full size perfumes in a while other than a couple of luxury ones, but this 3.4 oz bottle is $156. I’ve always considered Valentino perfumes as one of the more mid range fragrance brands that I feel like I remember the larger sized bottles being around $100. That may just be me getting old and getting sticker shock with standard inflation. I can say with 100% certainty, I would not spend $156 on this or even $85 for the smallest bottle. This is all just based off my personal preferences.

Bought this perfume a week ago, and I'm hooked! Wasn't sure at first sniff on paper, but on my wrist, it's a sweet mix of jasmine and amber. After an hour, it tones down to a powdery jasmine scent with a hint of sweetness, maybe from the benzoin note. It changes as you wear it, and I'm loving the journey. Lasting power is about 5 hours on my skin, bit longer on clothes. I was a little disappointed on the longevity as I prefer perfumes that stick around 8-10+ hours. Wearing it daily, catching whiffs during errands. It gives off this cozy vibe that's perfect for fall or winter. Eager to see how it holds up in spring and summer. The scent is very sexy and mature, but also youthful and sweet. I can see woman of any age enjoying this. The packaging of course is a ... MoreBought this perfume a week ago, and I'm hooked! I thought it might be generic, but I was pleasantly surprised. Despite only having four very common notes, this juice stands out as unique. It’s a solid 10/10 for me!

This is absolutely my favorite winter/fall perfume. I don’t like the original Donna born in Roma but this floral-amber fragrance was is absolutely perfect in every way. This perfume opens up with bourbon vanilla and amber giving it a boozy yet cozy feeling at the same time then it leads with a middle note of jasmine, and finally Benzoin on the dry down. The amber in this fragrance is very very prominent. If you’re not a fan of amber I would definitely recommend sticking with the original. This perfume will last all day on your skin, the more it dries down the better the fragrance gets even after you shower the scent will still be prominent on your skin. This to me is a sensual seductive Ambery/bourbon date night scent. I get tons and tons of people asking me what I’m wearing every time I have it on and they always immediately go and purchase it. It reminds me slightly of angel share by Killian because of the bourbon vanilla but nowhere near as spicy as angel share.

I received this perfume sample compliments of Valentino Beauty. The Donna Born in Roma Intense eau de parfum is a delicious, ultra intense rendition of the Born in Roma signature. Of course, you can’t have Valentino without hot pink! My sample card arrived in this beautiful shade of the brand’s signature color. When you purchase this perfume, you receive a flacon that is decorated in the iconic Valentino Rockstud design. I can only imagine how satisfying it is to hold one of these bottles in your hands and appreciate the immaculate detailing in each pyramidal stud. Echoing the hot pink on black leather label, the fluid itself is this gorgeous shade if vivacious pink that exudes an alluring youthful energy. Spraying this perfume on my arms was such a thrill. The vanilla catches you right away, and truly never lets go. It is carried and enhanced by the help of a sumptuous bergamot and blackcurrant accord. The vanilla acts as the perfect hook to draw you into an enveloping couture heart of jasmine. This is quite an exquisite display of jasmine’s olfactory beauty. The level of velvety creaminess achieved in this heart note, as if inspired by the white softness of the jasmine petal itself, is truly remarkable. Each waft of floral creaminess lands on your nose with the softness and fullness of a marshmallow cloud. The base note of benzoin resin provides a soothing warmth to the fragrance that further amplifies this vanilla and jasmine embrace. What is there to say about this fragrance other than I feel as though I am suspended in a delicious vanilla bourbon cloud - and I hope never to come down! You will want to smell this one again and again.

I received a full-sized bottle of Valentino Donna Born in Roma Intense eau de parfum complimentary for testing purposes and in exchange for my honest review. I have not experienced the original Born in Roma perfume, but this iteration is supposed to amplify the vanilla aspect of the original, in addition to amber and jasmine notes. This is not a “must-have” vanilla scent in my opinion as a vanilla-lover, but it is a deeper and warmer type of vanilla if you’re looking for something more developed and nuanced. I don’t pick up much on the floral notes, but perhaps that’s because this is a cold (January/February) time of year that I’ve been wearing it. I find this suitable for daytime or nighttime use, although you will need touch-up sprays after 3 or 4 hours. Per the product description, the bottle is inspired by Roman architecture and the color pink is “punk, poetic, and romantic but also bold and daring.” It is a weighty glass bottle with a nice mister and it looks gorgeous on my vanity. I do find it to be a little overpriced ($156 for 3.4 fl oz and $130 for 1.7 fl oz), but that has more to do with my own personal preferences than my disposable income. I’d recommend if someone was interested and wants every warm-vanilla-floral perfume under the Sun. I would prefer longer lasting power for something this bougie.

I KNOW, but wait for it to dry down... trust me.

Let me tell you about my 360-degree journey with this fragrance. When I first sampled this, it was on a small piece of paper. It smelled too much like that weird lipsticky/musky plastic smell that I hate in most popular perfumes. Immediately, I thought, "No way, totally incompatible with my taste in fragrances." Flash forward, I accidentally tried it again in a smaller vial tester on my wrist, thinking it was the non-intense version. Sprayed it, instant weird lipstick smell again and put the bottle down. Well, while shopping in the store, I suddenly got a whif of my own wrist, and it smelled like the most deliciously deep sugary berry candy that was bright but also had complexity and warmth to it. OMG. Like night and day. The moral of the story is wait at LEAST 10 ... MoreLet me tell you about my 360-degree journey with this fragrance. OMG. Like night and day. The moral of the story is wait at LEAST 10 minutes for this to dry down, and you will get a completely different experience than you'd previously believed. Yes, all perfumes have drydowns that take some time, but this goes from gross to the best thing I ever smelled in my life, so I think that's pretty noteworthy and I encourage you to give this a second chance.

This stuff is a menace

I got a sample with my last order. I am definitely a floral girl, and I anticipated loving this one from the description. Let me tell you, one spritz from the sample vial in the bathroom at midnight woke the ENTIRE HOUSE, including my 9yo daughter, who could probably sleep through the dang apocalypse. It was worse than the time the raccoon got in the copier, my dear friends. It is so incredibly intense that it is absolutely unwearable even if you spray it into the air in an empty room, close the door, wait 10 minutes, and then walk in to pick up some residual scent. I had to literally take off my shirt and walk it down to the laundry because my husband wasn’t letting me back in bed with my shirt smelling the way it did. I had to literally take off my shirt and walk it down to the laundry because my husband wasn’t letting me back in bed with my shirt smelling the way it did. And this is a man who once ate a garlic dill pickle as a 3am snack and came back to bed while I was pregnant, so he owed me more than a few free passes in the stink department! Not anymore, now that Valentino has entered the chat. The good news? Once it dies down, it actually smells lovely, and the alcohol content seems to destroy any other scent in the air. So it makes a fantastic bathroom air freshener…one so strong it can outperform even the most Impressive grandpa dumps. And no, that capital “I” was not a typo. That’s just how good this stuff is. It can take on the very worst.Anyway, don’t buy this one. Buy the one that doesn’t say “intense” and you’ll be made in the shade. That is, unless your air freshener simply isn’t cutting it in the bathroom. Then try this.

[Rewarded Review] Stunning perfume!

I have to start this off by saying that I fell in love with this perfume. I always love my perfumes to be either elegant, soft, and delicate. This one is definitely something different for me and that's not a bad thing at all. I usually tend to go for a floral scent with nothing Intense or with vanilla in it . This one doesn't have anything that would just kill my senses but I can say I definitely smelled ambery and vanilla notes in it. I never thought that I would enjoy a fragrance with these type of notes in it but this definitely had surprised me. I especially since I just can't get enough of spraying it on me every time I go out, before I go to bed and just any chance that I want to. I especially since I just can't get enough of spraying it on me every time I go out, before I go to bed and just any chance that I want to. I have really such a strong love for this perfume and just how it wears so nicely and last longer than many perfumes I have. Besides the outstanding scent I took notice of just how beautifully, uniquely packaged and luxe this perfume was. I have to say this is definitely a fragrance that I have never experienced before in my life down from the gorgeous packaging to the elegant scent I overall just feel so special. I honestly don't want to be without this fragrance because I feel like it just fits so well with my lifestyle and my overall appearance. I feel like it just gives a statement and the best one that I want to give. I love it very much and I don't think I ever want to go back to delicate scents but instead I want to explore more of these type of scents. Once I am done with this bottle I am definitely going to get another one and each and every time she is out I will get another. Which is something to me because I don't usually go out of my way to have a perfume always available to me. This special girl is actually sitting on my vanity right now and I'm getting ready to spray her so I'll just finish the review here.
