I skate flat/curbs/flatbars. My foot is size 9, I weigh 70 kg and I am 180 cm tall. I usually prefer cupsole skateshoes but I ended up with the Vans Sk8-Hi's because of the protection over the ankle. This shoe is true to size, maybe a tad bigger than some of my 27 cm shoes. It is also not a narrow shoe like New Balances or Nikes. This shoe is great for skating, but in my opinion not the best shoe to walk on as I found some marginal heel lift even with so many laces. However these break in fast, the shoe is light for such a durable and even with a "fat" vulcanized outsole. I would prefer the pro version for skating every time. I think for my foot this shoe has not the optimal feel on the heel so I recommend that you try these at a shop if you haven't already. This ... MoreI skate flat/curbs/flatbars. Even with the pop cush insole the feel is awesome. The Hi-top model needs some getting used to but is no dealbreaker for me as that was what I wanted. They have such a good view from above and over all. For this shoe I would have preferred it to have some topping in the heels to prevent heel lift, but that is all I can complain. It has some canvas for breathability in the middle which is nice for the summer. For me, this is a rather basic skate shoe with good durability on because of suede and a thick vulcanized outsole. I recommend these for you if you already like Vans skate shoes and want to go for something extra with the Hi's.

These are my new set of shoes for working or going out into the city. The insoles don't offer amazing support, but the rest of the shoe is super nice and comfortable. They feel very well made, and over all were a great buy.

I started wearing Van's as a kid. Now as an adult I have been buying them for my kids for years. This pair is the first for my granddaughter. I'm positive I'm not the only family that has generation upon generation that wears them because of the timeless fashion. My granddaughter could wear her mothers shoes and no one would know and still be a cool kid. As a matter of fact she has. Their favorites are the white and black classic checkered slip ons. Beyond the timeless style is the cushiony comfort. You could walk all day in them. Who doesn't love them?!

Bravo to The Talented Indigenous Artist who did an excellent job with the Formline Artwork Design on these Vans! They're comfortable and the gold & black colors go great together. I bought 5 pairs of slip-ons, 1 pair of high tops and the t-shirt! Gunalchéesh for positively represent Indigenous People and for pairing up with Vans who's willing to donate back to Native Youth Programs, that's awesome! You're doing great things & I'm lovin these cool Vans!! We say Gunalchéesh (it means thank you in the Tlingit language)
Great product. Shoes were easy to order, shipped quickly, and fit great. The only downside is the suede coloring is coming off on the laces almost immediately. I tied to look at different lacing options and after three attempts to get the Laci g just right I found the white laces were turning a dirty yellow and had to wash them before moving forward.
I love these shoes. I like to see the new season styles and colors. My 1st was in that lavender/berry color & I want another pair but they ended that color😢. My 2nd is a light spruce green Peace 🔆Leaf so there's an embroidered heart & rainbow on toe box & heel. Super cute but not in your face. It's nice to have a bit of feminine in my sneakers. I'm 66 but still love youthful things. Only bad thing is the laces!!! They are cotton & hang up when you try to put these on. Being a soft heel you need to open the laces or the heel smashes down & you can't pulled it up. I changed the laces to a nylon and it's fine. I suggest Vans upgrade the laces on their high tops.
A grand cheap skate shoe. Not comparable to hitops like the Globe Los Angered, Nike SB Blazer mid or Emerica Omen-hi. But for half the price its a pretty decent skate shoe to keep you going.
The feel of tbe kicks are comfortable and roomy with correct size the look gives a mid rise slight high top casual look to the kicks. Color to the grey is more of a seagull bird grey as they typically are white and within biology are medium deep grey. The white is snow white linen white. Finally, color contrast looks good with light denim blue or tan jeans as they stand out with these colors or Volcum shorts.
For as long as I can remember, I have always worn Vans sneakers. I started off with the low tops, however, over the past few years I have gotten into the Sk8-Hi products. I now own about 10 pairs. They are always so comfortable and are perfect for both winter and summer weather. I have never had an issue with rubbing on my ankles or even them not fitting. These are great shoes that I would recommend to anyone! So comfy too!
this is a much cheaper quality shoe than i have previously bought in the store.thinner, not as much cushioning. less comfortable.why would there be two different versions of quality for the same shoe??i guess i cant buy from them online anymore....always been a fan of vans.
