I. Love. This. Garden bed! It’s raised with space underneath it so means I can sit down and do my gardening. I have a physical disability so that aspect is extremely important. I’d love some large-ish casters as an option on it though to make it even more moveable. ‘Dry’ weight is really quite light so easy to manoeuvre into place before you fill it with soil. Have yet to see how it weathers but it seems really quite sturdy, so I’m very happy with this purchase.

Bought this in grey last week and was delivered 3 days later. 16 parts (excluding screws), some pre-assembled, well packaged in plastic wrapped card box.Screws are even mounted in card sleeve, plastic covers on feet to prevent water wicking, quality shaped liner.Very clear diagrams and good instructions, easy to follow and after a couple of minutes thinking everything slots together really well.Power driver with medium crosspoint on medium torque had no problems to drive screws, easy enough with a screwdriver though.Took about 90 minutes really taking my time to assemble whilst regularly checking instructions. Having decided to add a salad patch to our small veg garden, We decided to go for the veg trug option. I read many reviews on lots of products and ‘VegTrug’ came out top every time. I then explored the best prices and Robert Dyas supplied me with that. The website was easy to order from and the parcel arrived promptly and well packaged within a few days. The ‘VegTrug’ was very easy to assemble alone. Our family garden now looks complete. The ‘VegTrug’ looks beautiful and is a garden feature as well as serving the purpose it is built for. I would definitely recommend the product and Robert Dyas.

I love the VegTrug! It is perfect for me as I cannot stoop or kneel to tend garden in ground. I also purchased the greenhouse cover to see if I could extend the growing season throughout our mild Southern winters. It works! My lettuce and herbs are thriving this winter with lows in 20s. Also a great place to park some small European Cypress saplings until planting season. I cannot wait until Spring planting in March/April. Already planning what to grow. Great investment.
it serves its purpose, and it will definitely get the job done...However, it is pretty poorly manufactured with brackets, components and angles not quite lining up properly.Screws wouldn't bite into aligned holes without completely missing the opposing connecting panels, brackets were poorly aligned leading to a uneven assembly. The misalignment will be hidden behind the lining of the planter, but it is beside the point... and it effects the overall sturdiness of the end product. The planters are still very functional, usable, and will be successful in planting... However, for the pretty high price tag (I bought 2 units, with delivery costs included over $675) the quality is poor, the value for money is far better spent on a different, better quality product ... Moreit serves its purpose, and it will definitely get the job done...However, it is pretty poorly manufactured with brackets, components and angles not quite lining up properly.Screws wouldn't bite into aligned holes without completely missing the opposing connecting panels, brackets were poorly aligned leading to a uneven assembly. I assembled this VegTrug Frame in just 10 minutes with my three-year old helping. No tools required until you actually attach the frame to the inside of the VegTrug. I'm really glad I bought this. The frame sits snugly inside the VegTrug. I draped generic shade cloth over the frame and clipped it together around the frame using large binder clips. It has saved my seedlings in 100 plus degree Southern California weather. I haven't tried the Greenhouse Cover yet but it seems to be good quality and I look forward to using it over the winter.
Easy to assemble BUT lots of the wood was split and by the the time I realised it was half made and unboxed, so couldn’t return. Had to repair various split pieces and replace a few parts, I’m a good carpenter but it was disappointing to spend over an hour fixing their poor workmanship
It arrived with all parts in one very large box and because of its size and overall weight it was difficult to move. In the box the parts were solid treated wood with clear assembly instructions. Main parts had already been put together so final assembly used a few large bolts in the leg sections and a lot of screws for the rest - an electric screw driver is a must. It didn't take long to put together and put in its final place. I say final place as once the deep V trough is filled with soil and compost it can't easily be moved. The end result is very solid and looks good in the garden, it should last years. Now the difficult part, growing the vegetables.
I have four of these already they are excellent and not hard to put together. Only one part of the process needs another set of hands- otherwise it's easy. I have severe back problems, so these allow me to carry on gardening and growing veg. The only thing you can't grow effectively is potatoes
I hour to erect and very decent instructions. Cost about £50 to fill with a mixture of top soil and decent organic compost so bare this in mind when costing out. Not a cost efficient way to garden profitability but if you’re limited in space or can’t bend down still great fun to do.i,M sharing this with my young daughter and gaiining greatly from it in enjoyment and knowledge.Comes well packed via Veg Trudand Robert Dyas and noting it’s very heavy when pacahed delivery driver put just where I wanted it in the back garden. This is the wider on of the 1.8 metre ones and looks great in grey .usefull videos online via Vegtrug to help with planting.i throughly recommed noting the above.
