Verbatim Store N Go Pinstripe USB 3.0 Drive 32GB Black

Been using these for less than a month, and two of them have stopped functioning entirely. Can't even reformat them, it freezes up the whole system until we unplug it. When the first one went down I just assumed it was a dud, but tonight we've just lost another.Luckily they were being used for transferring rather than long-term storage, so nothing was lost, but it's greatly disturbed our workflow.

This pendrive is up to the quality standards you would expect from Verbatim. It is really, really fast when connected to a USB3 port and the connector can be hidden inside the unit protecting it (but not from dust since the connector pins are still exposed). I haven't had any problem with the pendrive myself but be aware that due to its large capacity and format, it may not be recognized by some old equipment. The USB2 connectors of my Windows PCs recognize it without any problem. My Samsung Galaxy Note 4 smartphone also recognizes it perfectly and my Galaxy Note Pro tablet too. I had a problem when I took it to a printing service. Their computer wouldn't recognize it but it was most probably due to their computer being too old. This is a review for the Verbatim PinStripe 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive.Feels fairly solid made of black plastic.It benchmarks fairly well for the price/size. Sequential Read 27.5 MB/s, Write 21.2 MB/s. Slow on small file writes, but decent reads. 4K Read 12.3 MB/s, Write 0.006 MB/s.There's a small hole at the end of the drive to attach a lanyard to it, not included. There's no activity light. Slider mechanism feels solid, and there's a satisfying click when you retract it fully back. Slider doesn't protect the stuff getting into the tip, though.Hopefully it'll be reliable. Decent speeds for the price if you get it on sale.
