love the Victoria line of cast iron products. I find them to be reliable, sturdy, and easy to clean. On my first use with the Dutch oven, I made a tomato based dish (usually a no-no for brand new cast iron because the acidity of the tomatoes can ruin the seasoning). I was already halfway through the recipe when I remembered, so I figured, "I've already gotten this far. Might as well just keep going."Well, the Dutch oven responded beautifully and the seasoning was not affected at all. It was an easy clean, as well! Even easier than the cast iron skillets, in my opinion. The pan holds heat exceptionally well and brings the flavors of whatever meal I'm cooking together fabulously. This is a great dutch oven. I may be a bit rough when you first get it but all you need to do is use, clean it, dry it, warm it on a burner then season it with your oil of choice, (I use Crisco). With time and use the pot gets smoother and easier to clean. I have found this to be the case with all of my Victoria cast iron skillets griddles and dutch ovens. I've baked bread in it and roasted chicken several times. Victoria cast iron is, in my opinion, on par with Lodge cast iron. Once their pans are well seasoned they get smoother than Lodge. The lid seals well and has these self-basting spikes that allow steam to condense and drip into the food to keep it moist. One thing I would mention - smooth cast iron is all fine and well, but it's not the be all to end all. ... MoreThis is a great dutch oven. Too many people get a cast iron skillet, season it and the first thing they cook is an egg. If it sticks, the pan is no good or a fail. It takes time and use to get modern cast iron to have a nice smooth finish. Even if it's not smooth you can still cook an egg it it. It takes heat control and good cooking technique.

Very nice. Seasoning was adequate. The metal is nice and heavy. It is attractive. Solid addition to my kit.
I specifically chose this cast iron pot for sourdough bread baking. The 4 qt size is perfect (and hard to find). I also wanted an all cast iron pot rather than an enamel-coated one because the high temps will eventually ruin the enamel finish. This fits the bill perfectly. Recommended.
I love cast iron and have many skillets made of it. This works beautifully on the stove top or in the oven. It's rather heavy though. More than I thought it would be. But, I don't want to detract from it's usefulness. I love it!
Nice size and quality quite good. The manufacturer needs to do something about the knob in the cover as it keeps spinning and cannot be tightened.Knob tarnished when placed in the over although if did not exceed the recommended temperature
This is a fine cast iron dutch oven, no doubt a quality piece. I'm very sorry I had to return it. I'm a senior citizen and it was simply too heavy for me.
The quality of this Dutch Oven is remarkable. I have used it numerous times for pot roast, turkey breast, stew & chili. Very glad I purchased this brand.
Great quality, this should be in everyones kitchen. Victoria make the best cast iron pans.
