Sure, it's not the fancy big name German knife set that people Oooh and Aaah over, but these knives are great for heavy daily use. Comfortable handles, and I happened to already have a Santoku and carving knife to make use of the extra slots on the block.

I thought that the handles looked too bulky in pictures but they fit great in the hand and give me great confidence when handling the knives.Knife block does not come completely full but I like the side slots that don't dull the blade. Room for upgrades or different styles of knife. Make sure to use the honing steel regularly and clean the blades with a soft cloth after washing to keep the blades shiny and sharp.Absolutely there are better knives out there, but if you are looking to equip a new kitchen or are interested in learning to cook this will be an amazing purchase and money well saved.

The fibrox set is a great utility set. There are better knives out there, but these are a phenomenal value. The blades are substantial but light enough to use for hours if you're prepping a big dinner for guests. The grips offer great traction, even when wet. The block has extra slots to house your other favorite knives (santoku and boning occupy mine). The shears are a great bonus as well.

This 8 piece knife set by Victorinox is one of the best values on the market if you were to but these knifes separate it would run well over $250. I swear by this brand I have never owned a more economical knife without sacrificing any quality. This set would make a welcome addition to any kitchen.
The Victorinox Fibrox line of knives are used by professional chefs. Grips on the knives are solid. Not super fancy but are the kind of knives one would not hesitate to use as a daily workhorse set. Not all the slots are filled in the block and allow for future additions. I purchased an extra 8" chef's knife to separate cutting of produce/fruit from meat.
I think I'd be happy with this one knife set for the rest of my life!! It has everything I need, and they stay relatively sharp even with me not taking care of them super well. Definitely worth the price many times over!!!
Received order within 3 days. My daughter and her husband loved the knives and block. Price seemed fair for this exceptional quality kitchen knife set.
I can certainly recommend the quality knives but the block, I cannot.The plastic shafts that hold the knives in the block (as opposed to conventional holes in the block itself) shear off or get bent by the pressure of the knives being pushed into them. This causes the knives to sit awkwardly in the block and over time, not push down into the block at all.If you can get these knives on a deal, they are great but you might want to factor in the purchase of a conventional block for them to sit in.
This knife set was delivered as advertised and I've been very happy with it. I think Victorinox Fibrox knives deliver some of the best "bang for the buck" that you can get. I think that the 8 piece set provides knives that will be used without including a lot of knives that just tend to stay in the block and rarely get used. I definitely recommend this set.
Pros: Sharp Good WeightCons:Other thoughts: I bought a nearly identical set over 10 years ago with wood handles. My kids kept soaking them in the sink and the wood finally started to wear. These ones should not have that problem. The last ones kept an edge and I expect to get 10 years out of these. Great value.
