I am very happy with the price and quality of this knife. It was recommended by Christopher Kimball on Cook's Country or America's Test Kitchen, and now I am recommending it! This knife is easy to use and lightweight. I have medium sized hands and the 7 1/2" length turns out to be the perfect length for me. I have a 9" knife that feels very awkward to use for everyday chopping so I reserve it for watermelons, butternut squashes and the like. The handle is one molded, sealed piece and I like that for keeping it clean from bacteria. This knife is used several times per day, every day at our house. My husband now asks me where the "good knife" is, and its usually in the sink waiting to be washed again because it was just used! We will be purchasing more, and I will be ... MoreI am very happy with the price and quality of this knife. We will be purchasing more, and I will be gifting one to my sister who told me she doesn't have a knife that can cut through a butternut squash (gasp!). The knife fits perfectly into the Victorinox 47302 6" to 8" Knife Blade Cover, and I feel the cover is a safety must for knives that are kept loose in a drawer. It can be sharpened easily with Chef Master 90015GDCM01 Professional Carbide Hand Held Knife Sharpener, which I also recommend.

Excellent Knife, light, easy to use, good addition to my kitchen. Love Harts of Stur, discovered them in Lockdown and am totally hooked. Apart from the on line service the customer service by phone is aslo superb, if you need any advice or, have any questions. Amazing company and now my first port of call for anything I need. Also great prices.

I'd been using my current cutlery for almost 30 years --- faithfully sharpening and caring for it. It was an extension of my arm and never thought I'd find a better replacement. However, one day while watching a product review on a favorite cooking show - America's Test Kitchen - I saw this product review and I already had the Victorinox Carving Knife and LOVE that as well. So I thought I'd give it a go .. figuring things had changed/improved in 30 years. I had handled other knives in stores and they just never felt "right". Well, u can teach an old cook new tricks..... the knife is a manageable size, sharp as can be... lightweight, comfortably grip. Would highly recommend.

Amazing value for the cost. As a home cook, this is my go to knife for 90% of what I do. In my tiny kitchen it's much more handy than my 8 inch chef's knife for most things, and I regret not getting it earlier. My only complaint is that the edge at the first inch or so from the tip was dull/burred on arrival - nothing a few minutes with a whetstone couldn't fix though.
My partner and I often cook together, so we decided to buy 2 of these rather than 1 knife with a "nicer" handle. I'm so glad we did. Really comfortable to use regardless of how you hold it (I pinch the blade, she holds the handle), nice and sharp after a few weeks of daily use and a few touch-ups with a honing steel. If you're looking for a first "real" knife, a gift for someone setting up a kitchen, or even just a second chef's knife for the family, this one is definitely worth checking out.
I bought this knife on the basis of numerous online recommendations. I wanted something a bit smaller than the 20 cm knives I have on the rack. When it arrived, I asked the post office contractor to wait while I opened the parcel. It was so light, I thought the seller had neglected to include the knife! Well the knife was there, and what a change it was from the satisfyingly hefty feel of my Mondial and Wusthof knives. However it was sharp and has done a fine job so far on vegetables and boneless meat. The test will come when it has to deal with something a bit tougher. I still treat it a bit gingerly as if it was a ceramic knife, but maybe my confidence in it will grow. Somehow I can't see the Victorinox being around in 2057, but that might just be my prejudice. And at the price, it's certainly an attractive proposition for cooks on a budget.
Sharp knife. Swiss made. Great price. Real comfortable, non slip handle. This knife can cut.
Product looks OK, as ordered. But its part of a gift for someone so Ive no idea how well it works in practice, especially as I havent yet given them the gift. However, I can comment on the website, which is very clunky and not all that userfriendly. And the followup survey, sent to my PC and accessed using a Google Chrome browser, just could not be filled in I suspect it has been set up for use with smartphones rather than for all common methods of digital communication. In other words, that the web designer is an amateur and has not properly tested the websites functionality, both for ordering products and completing the customer survey
I bought this knife while in the shop looking at other products but am so glad I got it. Its a good size and weight and stays sharp. The quality is just as you expect from the brand. Its really good for cutting fruit.
I am very happy with this knife. It arrived well protected, wrapped in a lot of paper inside a box, with a guard at the tip of the blade. The blade is super sharp, as expected, and the knife is incredibly light. I was considering buying a 8 or 10 inch, but I am very happy I went for 6, it feels very confortable even when chopping.
