I got this lens and its simple beautifully, when I get to attached to my brand new X6ii .For some reason it doesn't fit right on the camera mount like my 85 mm and the f mount adapter I also got.Is very tight and is very BERY HARD TO ATTACH AND DETACH.I just got the lens but I live in Ecuador. Love my Z6ii but hate the cost of the lenses. I was running the FTZ and older lenses till I discovered Viltrox. At 1/2 the price the photos are just as sharp,clear and crisp as the big money lenses. The only reason this got 4 and not 5 was the hood. Someone really dropped the ball on it....

Picked this up the moment I saw it was available. I don't have much experience with 35mm focal length on full frame, but have wanted one as I get more in to video work. Still, being uncertain about how much use I'll get out of the lens made the $850 price tag of Nikon's Z Mount 35mm a tough sell.That makes this a great lens for me, at a price point I was willing to jump on right away. Sharpness is great. Like the Viltrox 24mm, the lens does have some distortion in the corners. More than I would expect for a 35, but it didn't bother me in any photos I have taken in a few days of normal use. Only when I set up a photo specifically to check for distortion do I notice it.Autofocus is fantastic, faster than adapted F Mount lenses and totally silent, so great for ... Focus breathing is well corrected.Other than the distortion, the biggest drawback is the minimum focus distance. 40cm, over a foot away from the sensor. It repeatedly caught me off guard when testing the camera for sharpness, only to realize the image was soft because I was a few inches too close. For the most part it's not an issue in real world use for me, so the lens remains a great choice for my situation, but that would be the biggest trade-off to consider when looking at this lens vs. the native Nikkor 35mm Z.For half the price of Nikon's lens, this a great option to have, and I'm thrilled to see third party AF lenses coming to the Z Mount.
I love this lens. The image quality is great and it was super affordable. Works like original nikon lenses. I highly recommend this product.

Surprisingly it is a very good budget option. I tested it out on a creative shoot I had with one of my models and the images were tack sharp with amazing color, almost as good as my Z lenses. After gaining faith in this lens, I decided to use it on some natural light graduation sessions and the lens operated flawlessly.The build quality is not as good as Z glass "S" lenses but feels far from cheap. Thought I'd take a chance on this lens and really glad I did. Excellent build quality, tack-sharp images, completely silent operation, and perfect mating with the Z6ii controls... all for half the price of the Nikkor. Recommended.
AF is really good and lens is sharp. When compared to the Rokinon 35 1.4 this lens is on par with sharpness and outperforms it with really good AF. Only Con is a heavy vignette. With the immense weight savings on my arm and in my bag, this lens wins a spot in my bag.
After talking to a fellow photographer at WPPI 2022 about what he thought about this lens, he said ?take a look and check out it out for yourself? I tried his Nikon Z6 II with the lens attached, I was so impressed by it, the day I got home I ordered one from Adorama.I tried it out a few days ago, it?s definitely a portrait photographers game changer at half the cost of the native Nikon lens. I absolutely love the results.
