Delivery is 24 days. I really like this lens. Today was a photo shoot. Sharp lens, very beautiful bokeh (better than sigma art at f1.8), accurate autofocus on the Z7. I didn't like the hood. Highly recommend, best value for the price. And many thanks to the seller for the feedback and excellent packaging. The first impression of the lens is excellent. Hopefully in the future too

I tried this lens on a Z50, Z 6, Z 7 and Z 6II. It functions as expected on all 4 bodies. It feels solidly built. Mounting takes a bit more firmness and dismounting required backing off a bit from full clockwise movement. The lens AF quickly and accurately. All EXIF data seems accurate, even the lens description is complete.Image IQ is very good. It is sharp in the center, but somewhat less sharp at the edges that Nikon's own version until you step down to f/8. Color and contrast are on par.A less than 1/2 the price of a Nikkor, it is a good alternative for those on a budget.

I got this lens and its simple beautifully, when I get to attached to my brand new X6ii .For some reason it doesn't fit right on the camera mount like my 85 mm and the f mount adapter I also got.Is very tight and is very BERY HARD TO ATTACH AND DETACH.I just got the lens but I live in Ecuador. Turning something back To the store is a REAL PAIN. Please advise. The quality, when on camera is outstandingStill wish I had the money to stay on original NikonsGot the biggest bummer when I realized

Viltrox 24mm f1.8 is fairly price, works more or less as well as a Sony lens, good in both stills and video. Will work fine in vlogs, talking head videos, etc. 24mm is wide enough for handheld vlogs, but if it was 22mm i'd be a little happier. And if it was a f1.4, like the Sony 24mm, I would have been happier still. Great for scenes, buildings and landscapes, but research your favourite perspective to get the right focus length for you. APS-C users may want this too, but if you're sticking to APS-C, you should look up the Viltrox 23mm, it is half the price and gives a 35mm look. Viltrox 24mm f1.8 is a lens I really need to compare to the Sony 28mm f2, because I think the 28mm only beats it on weight. Not that the viltrox is heavy, it isn't a very small lens, but it ... Picked this up the moment I saw it was available. I don't have much experience with 35mm focal length on full frame, but have wanted one as I get more in to video work. Still, being uncertain about how much use I'll get out of the lens made the $850 price tag of Nikon's Z Mount 35mm a tough sell. That makes this a great lens for me, at a price point I was willing to jump on right away. Sharpness is great. Like the Viltrox 24mm, the lens does have some distortion in the corners. More than I would expect for a 35, but it didn't bother me in any photos I have taken in a few days of normal use. Only when I set up a photo specifically to check for distortion do I notice it.Autofocus is fantastic, faster than adapted F Mount lenses and totally silent, so great for ... Focus breathing is well corrected.Other than the distortion, the biggest drawback is the minimum focus distance. 40cm, over a foot away from the sensor. It repeatedly caught me off guard when testing the camera for sharpness, only to realize the image was soft because I was a few inches too close. For the most part it's not an issue in real world use for me, so the lens remains a great choice for my situation, but that would be the biggest trade-off to consider when looking at this lens vs. the native Nikkor 35mm Z.For half the price of Nikon's lens, this a great option to have, and I'm thrilled to see third party AF lenses coming to the Z Mount.
I bought this lens to shoot the stars with, and let me say how happy I am. This has turned into my favorite Astro lens, replacing my 15mm. The stars came out sharp and clear. Like I said in my other review....love my Z6ii hate Nikons lens prices. With the price point of this I was able to snag 2 Viltrox primes compared to 1 Nikon.
I purchased this mainly for video for my Nikon Z6. It performs comparably to my other Nikon brand Z primes (35mm f1.8 for example) in terms of speed of focusing and shooting experience. I haven't pixel peeped the photos taken with this lens but for video it works very well and quietly. Build quality is tight and excellent. Viltrox is a leader in value/quality ratio in my opinion. In addition to being significantly lower price than the Nikon brand equivalent Z lens, this lens is actually a little more compact in size which I like for gimbal use.
While I've only had this lens for a little over a week, I can say that it is amazing. I've only used it on one shoot, and it has produced some sharp images, but still has some character to it. The auto focus and eye detect works quite well, and the lens is so quite that it surprised me, when I first attached it.I'm still new to the Z mount and haven't used any of the high end glass, but how quite and quick it is wild. As long as you are not going to be in dusty or quite wet areas, I highly recommend picking one up.
I really wanted to like this lens. It's built well and is really sharp even at 1.8 but the autofocus renders it pretty much unusable. If your subject isn't in perfect lighting it will hunt like crazy and never lock on. It almost never gets an eye AF lock on my A7iii unless the lighting is perfectly even across the face. The photos it does get in focus though are great and tack sharp. It also has pretty severe purple fringing but that is auto corrected in camera so you don't really even see it once you import. It's really funny to see a thick purple halo around everything in the camera preview though. If this lens autofocused well it would be a budget dream. It does have a USB port so hopefully the firmware gets updated soon but I'm going to have to return it because ... MoreI really wanted to like this lens. I was looking for an alternate option to the Sony G-Master 50mm - something that wouldn't break the bank. My requirements were that it needed to be at least f1.8, needed to be full frame, needed autofocus, and wanted something smaller and lightweight compared to the G-master. I tried a variety of options and settled on the Viltrox - I'm glad I gave it a chance, since many review have been harsh, I almost didn't. The lens AF works well even in low light on my Sony a7S III. I was expecting it to hunt a lot more but it was fairly solid. Not G-Master level but certainly usable on professional shoots. It's sharp, sharper than I was expecting. I ended up liking it so much I also bought the Viltrox 24mm. Both together were still half the price of one G-master lens. I'm ...
