Vital Proteins Collagen Peptides Unflavoured 567g

There is not enough scientific evidence that collagen peptides actually helps with skin, hair and nails (not sure about joints, but from my personal experience, that’s a no) but it has such a great amino acid profile , 18 g of protein, low in calories, fat, carbs and no sugar, so I just started back on them again. Bonus for no dairy or gluten. I have always used the unflavored in the blue container, but bought the chocolate this time to add to protein shakes and smoothies or maybe even coffee. You can also use in recipes. It has a pretty good chocolate flavor because it’s only made with a few ingredients: alkalized cocoa, natural flavors, sea salt and stevia. Caffeine content

I did not know that this had caffeine in it. I am very caffeine sensitive, even to decaf coffee or tea. I wish it has stated the caffeine content somewhere - anywhere, on the container. I normally sleep at 9pm. I started drinking this for the last three days, and I went to sleep at/after 12am. Yesterday, I drank it. I am writing this at 4:50am, and I am still not tired, nor have I slept since being alert at 7am yesterday. Something told me this drink is the reason. It did not taste bad, and dissolved relatively well. I did not use it long enough to see results. It is disappointing that products are not required to list caffeine content anywhere. DO NOT BUY honestly this is the most honest review

I am so upset that I brought this. It is non consumable. I have attempted to mask the "unflavoured " flavour it smells like when a baby has an infection (the exact smell my niece had when she had an infection all over her skin) I kid you not! It is a powder which was a surprise to me ! I thought it was tablets. And the powder has no scoop. I've mixes it with juice it didn't dissolve. I put it in an Earl grey tea with lemon and cinnamon to mask the taste, it was not masked at all! The spoon I stirred it with stinks. Honestly I am so upset and disappointed with this being non consumable and spending all that money I didn't have thinking I was going to get a great product.

Dissolves so well!

It’s not a quick, overnight change but a nice addition to your daily routine that begins to show itself after some time. I both look better and feel better and will continue using these collagen proteins as an overall benefit to my health and beauty.

For others, it apparently has good results for joint pain/RA/osteo issues. I'm 36, so not quite there yet, but I do like to take good care of my skin. After researching evidence to support the benefit claims, I moved onto the Vital Proteins brand. And what I found was disappointing. They were previously in hot water for knowing heavy metal content and not providing education or product label warnings. Then I look at current 3rd party testing and while Vital Proteins definitely aren't the worst, they aren't great with their heavy metal levels. Finally, and still not quite sure what to think, I receive the package and see a California Prop 65 label on it. That was enough for me to throw it in the trash. Not all of their products test above CA's steuct heavy metal thresholds, to be fair, but this one does. With everything going into our food, medications, and who knows what else these days I really try to be more aware. If levels are high enough for a warning (but still considered "safe") I say no thanks and will go for a different brand that has cleaner ingredients. Not everything is bad, but for me the benefits didn't outweigh the risk. Perhaps someone with arthritis or joint pain would agreeably think differently. Just do your research on supplements, folks!

Hi all, I have been using marine collagen for 3 weeks now. I am 28 years old and suffer with a under active thyroid. 1. Does it taste fishy? tbh, initally opening the tub there was a marine smell and I think the first 3 times I took it, I could taste the smallest amount of fish. (but didnt let it bother me). After a week or so and after experimenting with my drink I found smoothies and green tea made it tastless. :-) to note: i only consume 1 scoop. i will increase in the 2nd tub. 2. consistency - slightly lumpy in a cold drink and needs a lil whisk. - dissolves immediately in hot drinks. 3. Any results - my NAILS NEVER GROW and for the first time in years I can feel strength in them. I am positive that there will be a difference. remember: take the right vitamins, rainbow diet, no processed or sugar foods, plenty of water and x2 scoops of vital proteins :-) to gain optimal results. Helped my pain, use oat milk for better dissolving

Ok so I don’t really ever write reviews and I can’t remember the last time I did. So I just finished my 2 pound container of the chocolate flavored collagen peptides powder which I got from Costco for a great deal by the way. Now let me say when I first started this I have been having knee pain from an old knee Injury and my right knee was really starting to hurt me again when I went jogging. I can’t believe after about three weeks to a month of drinking this every day for breakfast my knee pain has completely gone away. It is nonexistent even after a jog. I definitely feel that is from taking the collagen peptides. Second thing my face was really dry but now I noticed my face plump and not dry at all. I use A shaker cup not even a blender. And it Fully dissolves in the oat milk. One day I ran out of oat milk and I used regular whole milk and it was absolutely different. It was very foamy And it did not dissolve fully like it did in the oat milk!! I absolutely was not crazy about it. Try it with the oat milk and you will not be disappointed!!! It is so delicious velvety and creamy and I look forward to drinking it every single day for breakfast. Not to mention last but not least I have been losing a little weight as well. This stuff is worth trying!

My knees are better!!! What a difference this has made! I love the chocolate in my coffee with just a touch of honey and a bit of homemade organic coconut cream floating on top!! Mmmm Makes great hot chocolate with organic almond milk or coconut milk unsweetened with a touch of honey. Control the sugar intake and still tastes amazing! I’ve tried other chocolate collagen, and nothing tastes, as good as this! I am disappointed that I cannot get the 2 pound container at Costco anymore! Very disappointing and hard on the budget. But it is something I need for my health, so I guess I bite the bullet for now! I take four scoops a day, two in the morning and two in the afternoon. I can hike again without pain! Thank you! Look Young or Die Trying?

Bought the 2lb pack. Tastes great and I can feel the change on my joints (Martial Arts practitioner). Unfortunately I just noticed a P65 warning on the pack saying it contains lead, which causes cancer! I can't return it now that it's open but this will be the last time I buy it. I chose this one as it had twice the collagen of the Vital Performance (20g vs 10g) which I thought would be better suited for me but I am not sure these labels are even accurate. See picture attached comparing protein levels. Chocolate Peptides says it has 18g of protein (0% Daily Value) yet Vital Performance says it has 25g of protein (48% Daily Value). This is just misleading. If 25g of Protein = 48% DV, then 18g should be 34.5% DV.

The powder on first use was very good as there seemed to be no smell and it disoved easily into my bowl of porridge and sliced bananas. It's a bit too early to comment on the effectiveness of the collagen peptides as I've only been taking it for 14 days. However, I will say that it has already increased my energy levels. I've always suffered from chronic fatigue, feeling very drowsy around 2.30pm to 3.00pm and sleeping for an hour. Since taking the Vital Proteins powder this has gone. At that time of the afternoon I am now doing some drawing and painting, concentrating on decisions of tone and colour.
