Smoothies more luxurious than ever. Banana ice cream without needing a drop of milk. Soups blended without a spluttering immersion blender. Natural nut butters. Many more possibilities awaiting. I love this blender. Easy to use, relatively quiet, and powerful. Only a few small notes: I did feel the need to purchase the 48oz jar, as the 64 requires rather large batches. The self-clean blending doesn't usually clean the jar entirely (especially because blending with too much water will cause it to leak), but gets the tricky spots like under the blades and makes scrubbing way easier. I've wanted a Vitamix for a long time but kept hesitating because of the price (and I had a different functional blender already). I am SO glad I finally made the purchase. We are not new to Vitamix. More than 30 years ago, my husband and I watched a demo at a large Home Show in the town where we live and were mighty impressed with what we saw and then what we tasted. The price was high, but we thought that the quality would be worth it. Fast forward 3 decades later, and it still worked! The stainless container had seams in it and a dispenser spout at the bottom, both of which required some careful cleaning. In any event, we decided it was time to upgrade, but the old Vitamix didn’t owe us a thing! After much research, several phone calls to Customer Service at Vitamix (and always a really nice and helpful voice) we bought an A2500, as well as an extra, smaller container, and are very happy with our purchase. Most every morning, we make smoothies, but I wanted to try all the buttons on the machine, so we got to work and tried some of the recipes on the Vitamix site. The biggest surprise was the Black Bean soup. I couldn’t believe that after blending the ingredients in the Vitamix for 7 ½ minutes, we were sitting down to a delicious, steaming hot meal without using the stove! I see more soup in our future! On Thanksgiving, the Vitamix made quick work of a pumpkin pie filling. All those delicious recipes aside, I think my favorite part is how easy and quick it is to clean the container, and there is nothing to take apart. Thank you for continuing to make such a quality product.

Pros: making smoothies, veggie soups, dips, purées - anything that needs to be SMOOTH. It’s speed/strength makes preparing and eating whole foods really accessible - a smoothie is 2 mins away, takeaway is at least 10 mins away. Controls are simple and easy to use/see. Cons: bad at chopping especially ‘juicy’ foods - turns them to mush that stick to sides. The 2Lt jug can be over sized for dips and purees (need to make a lot for the blades to work) and small for soup (can hold about 1.4lt of soup safely). If you are blending hardcore items with the tamper - you must hold on tight to the jug handle to prevent it tipping off the drive shaft / base. A bit of waste is inevitable with thick mixtures - I bought a skinny spatula to get around the blades and am satisfied. After 11 months the jug was really cloudy. I cleaned it to clear using vinegar and bicarb soda. I use it so much I decided to get the 1 Lt jug - haven’t used it yet - blade configuration is different to the bigger jug though. Extra pros: I’m happy that I can buy replacement parts in the future rather than throw out the whole thing when one part is tired.

Always wanted a Vitamix Blender to add to my cooking arsenal and recently pulled the trigger and ordered the newest one, and I’m so excited that I did. I’ve always been very reluctant despite knowing it was a fantastic machine (having used others) simply because of the plastic container. I’m very health conscious and the idea of plastic is off-putting to me. But then… I realized they made a stainless steel container and it swayed my decision, and I was thrilled!! Now I wish they did sell it with your preferred choice of container so I had to pay an additional hefty cost direct from Vitamix to get the stainless container I wanted, but it didn’t disappoint. Combined with my beautiful top of the line Vitamix, I now have a stainless container that will definitely last many years to come. I’m looking forward to making fantastic meals with my new Vitamix and trying all the features it has to offer. I do hope they make additional accessories for this model in the future in lieu of rebuying an entire machine. I’m old school and appreciate things that are built to last and Vitamix stands behind that with the added bonus of made in the USA! That’s a win in my book. So cheers 🥂 to all my future glorious meals using my new new Vitamix. 😊 And a big Thank you to Macy’s for making this a quick and easy ordering process!
I purchased my first Vitamix Blender (CIA edition) just over ten years ago and it was a workhorse. Last year, the blender container needed replacement and then recently, the motor started acting up, so I decided it was time to use the Vitamix former owner rebate (they give you a $100) for purchasing a new blender. Customer service was fantastic and very helpful when I called. I opted for the Ascent A2500 because I wanted a couple of the newer features, such as the 3 program settings (for Smoothies, Hot Soups, and Frozen Desserts) but didn't see the relevance in the more expensive models that had the 5. I still wanted the feel of manual options. I also already owned the AerDisc and had to buy a new dry grains, but my old one was purchased by a friend who I'll also be ... MoreI purchased my first Vitamix Blender (CIA edition) just over ten years ago and it was a workhorse. I also already owned the AerDisc and had to buy a new dry grains, but my old one was purchased by a friend who I'll also be giving the newer blender replacement container to for free. I may want the food processor some day, so I needed to do an Ascent. There have been a few things that I absolutely love about the upgrade. 1. The bender container is so much easier to scrape out the goodness. Even with the special Vitamix spatulas and having small hands, I found the narrowness of the blender container to be a hindrance. This new lower profile container is MUCH easier to scrape. 2. I really like the three programs. I feel my smoothies are indeed smoother and more blended. 3. Pulse is something I did not have and craved. So happy to now have it. It's still workhorse like its predecessor, but has some awesome new features. VERY pleased.
My 9 +yr old Optimim 9400 finally stopped after years of being used daily. It has worked hard and travelled all over Oz in the van. I have replaced it with the G2.6 and so far I am impressed with firstly the quality of the machine and the finished product. From the research I have done The Froothie blenders are the most powerful on the market, hence the reason I stuck with Froothie. The quality of the jug appears superior to my previous machine. The digital display was a change to get used to but is easier than knobs etc. and keeps cleaner. I used to mix all my veggies up and strain them a little for a juice, but this new machine refines them so smooth I do not need to strain them at all - just mix and drink. My purchase of the Optimum 9400X (early November 2021), without the sound cover, was made following my Optimum 9400 (1st Gen) motor wearing out after more than 7 years of regular use. I am still looking into repairing my 1st Gen machine if it is feasible (to pass on to another family member). The Optimum 9400X is a more powerful machine and gives a smoother blend, though it has a smaller jug capacity than the 9400 (1st Gen). The base is larger than the 9400 (1st Gen) but, thankfully, still fits in my small cupboard. The 9400X is louder due to its higher RPM but I do not require a sound cover for the brief periods it is in use. The base is larger than the 9400 (1st Gen) but, thankfully, still fits in my small cupboard. The 9400X is louder due to its higher RPM but I do not require a sound cover for the brief periods it is in use. After having the 9400 (1st Gen) which has a simple manual on/off, speed dial and pulse switch, the 9400X confused me at first with its manual and selected programmed settings and digital display (which also includes a timer). I appreciate the benefits of programmed settings (and tried the default programs after watching a video demonstration online) but found the defaults impractical for my personal requirements. The 9400X was not my first choice when looking to replace my 9400 (1st Gen) but was offered as an upgrade during checkout. I did read the 9400X User Manual before the first use but was initially confused by the explanation it offered for using Manual Modes. When I emailed Froothie to clarify how to use the manual function to achieve the same speed and result as my faithful 9400 (1st Gen), they provided no practical advice and merely asked what ingredients I was using in my smoothie (the same ingredients I had been using for years). I complied with their request despite feeling their question was a bit irrelevant and possibly an effort to gather information for a recipe guide. I received no further correspondence or assistance from Froothie Support. With persistence, I eventually figured out how to use the 9400X manually myself. Re-reading the User Manual, it seems clearer retrospectively. So far, I am happy with the Optimum 9400X and hope to get as many years from this machine as the Optimum 9400 (1st Gen), though I have not tried the 9400X with a protein ball mix or with frozen ingredients, so I cannot comment on that aspect of its performance as yet. The warranty registration link on the Froothie website did not work for me but I found a warranty registration link through a Google Search. I do not expect Froothie will update my warranty details if I email them based on previous correspondence issues (outlined above). Try this warranty registration link if you cannot register using the link on the website (but please be aware that I will not be updating this link in my review if it changes): https://froothiewarranty.com/ Finally, my multiple queries about repairing my 9400 (1st Gen) were completely ignored despite replacement parts being available on the Froothie website and my purchase of the 9400X. Clearly, the company is more interested in new sales than in supporting its existing customers.

It's been more than a month of use and so far I love it. It is easy to use, easy to clean, has excellent quality and durable materials, has quality construction, a sleek design, and is lighter than I thought. The texture of the smoothies, hummus, and other preparations was incredibly smooth every time. It's a bit noisy at higher speeds and it smells a bit of motor oil when it's running for a long time or at first use... but with all this power in such a small unit, it is not a big deal, unless to me. I also love using it with the Bluetooth app. In fact, if you are tech-savvy, in practice, you won't need to use the presets (smoothie, sorbet, soup) and just use them through the app, so you would just need the Ascent 2300 for 100$ less. I was hesitant about leaving a review for this blender because of the company's emails offering incentives in exchange for online ratings. Although it's a pretty common marketing effort these days, it kinda irks me when I'm left wondering if I'm reading genuine comments. Anyway, I've been using my G2.6 since January & it's doing a great job. I've been busy with work & travel commitments & have admittedly only been using it on a weekly/fortnightly basis, & only to make smoothies, but I can report that it's an efficient appliance that has had no false starts and I've had no issues with any faulty parts or quality control stuff.
