This is something that bothered me since the main selling point for me was the 2400W. I might be mistaken though but if someone can clear that up to me I would give it a 5 star.Edit:After the response, I feel like I totally understand the 2400W situation. So 5 stars it is.

A year on and it’s still a beast. Used every day to make smoothies with fresh kale, frozen spinach, carrot, zucchini, prunes, frozen fruit - I barely chop (I cut the carrot and zucchini in half). I also juice celery, it make the creamiest hummus, so many veggie soups, silky frozen cocktails, nice cream, it even speeds up making apple butter (use the soup feature and then transfer to pot to reduce). This blender has meant my household starts each day with 4-5 serves of veg and 1-2 serves of fruit in under 2 mins of prep. I can also have a healthy snack any time.Pros: making smoothies, veggie soups, dips, purées - anything that needs to be SMOOTH. It’s speed/strength makes preparing and eating whole foods really accessible - a smoothie is 2 mins away, takeaway is at least 10 mins away. Controls are simple and easy to use/see.Cons: bad at chopping especially ‘juicy’ foods - turns them to mush that stick to sides. The 2Lt jug can be over sized for dips and purees (need to make a lot for the blades to work) and small for soup (can hold about 1.4lt of soup safely). If you are blending hardcore items with the tamper - you must hold on tight to the jug handle to prevent it tipping off the drive shaft / base.A bit of waste is inevitable with thick mixtures - I bought a skinny spatula to get around the blades and am satisfied. After 11 months the jug was really cloudy. I cleaned it to clear using vinegar and bicarb soda.I use it so much I decided to get the 1 Lt jug - haven’t used it yet - blade configuration is different to the bigger jug though.Extra pros: I’m happy that I can buy replacement parts in the future rather than throw out the whole thing when one part is tired.

They couldn't have been more apathetic.I could not be more disappointed in the performance of this product. I contacted customer service, twice, and did all of the recommended troubleshooting. It took FIVE minutes of constant tampering, with the dial turned to 10, to make a 12 ounce smoothie! The blades would NOT move unless I was constantly tampering, for 5 full minutes! This is the case every time. I was told I could return it for a 25% restocking fee and I have to cover shipping costs. This blender is the workhorse of our kitchen, its used daily and we rely on it.This is the second blender I have purchased from Froothie, and they have been reliable for the work they do. I was drawn to the Optimum G2.6 Platinum because it had a 10-year warranty, they are not cheap, and this gave me a peace of mind. I have had the blender now for 3 years and it stopped working.I contact Froothie and they helped me with details to return and to have it checked, they maintained excellent communication sending me updates of the progress. There were no stupid questions like " what did you do to it", they repaired the problem and swiftly returned our much-loved blender that went straight back into service. Excellent blender and customer service

We absolutely love our blender. We needed something with a stronger motor and cams across this model. We make a lot of smoothies with ice as well as cocktails. This blender does an amazing job!It blends everything so smoothlyIt's super easy to clean and as it's the slim model it's easy to store away in our apartment.Froothie have an amazing messenger service on Facebook where you can ask for food and drink idea's to use. They gave us some great cocktail ideas.I highly recommend this company. Their customer service is exceptional and they're very helpful as we did have some questions.Looking forward to making many more yummy smoothies and cocktails with this fabulous blender.

Excellent build quality and performance
4 January 2024

I purchased this after using Ninja BL682 for several years. In those years, I have had to replace a few parts here and there, which Nutri Ninja sells online (kudos to them for doing that)Upon another broken part, we decided to move to something that is better built and doesn't break down as much. Vitamix gets glowing reviews no matter where you research. We gave it a try and I must agree that the build quality of all the parts/components that make up the entire thing is SOLID. It has 10 years warranty, but I fully expect it last even longer. It is less loud compared to Ninja, performs more or less the same when it come to smoothies however takes much lesser of a time.If there was one thing I wished, I wish there were an attachment to vacuum seal the jar for vacuum ... MoreI purchased this after using Ninja BL682 for several years. Game changer, worth the extra.
25 January 2024

After ordering this blender my smoothie intake increased dramatically. It makes them very smooth, very quickly and I am very pleased with the results. I went with the A2500i for the pre-set programs which do come in handy. I purchased additional containers for purees and the single smoothie cup, both very easy to use and great for smaller batches. I've also made a mousse, smoothie bowls, soups and nice creams (healthier ice cream) and this vitamix makes them with ease. The tamper also comes in handy and cleaning it is a breeze, it essentially self cleans you just add water and a bit of dish soap and it does the rest. Highly recommended, after owning the common brand blenders (Ninja & Nutribullet) it was well worth the extra for the Vitamix.

Scammed / Blender inside wasn’t what was purchased
18 June 2024

I bought a new blender for a gift and received a dinged-up box that seemed to had been opened. Curious about its contents quality at that point I opened it to find the blender and its parts missing and in its place used Ninja parts and a different blender base. Was very disappointed and embarrassed at the fact that I didn’t have a gift in time. Also glad I took the opportunity to open the box because I would of been so embarrassed to have gifted someone something in those conditions potentially never knowing I spend lots of money on something the other person wasn’t going to enjoy and probably would of been thrown in the trash because that’s where the contents of the box would of belonged. I called to get a replacement and was told a new blender was sent out to me ... MoreI bought a new blender for a gift and received a dinged-up box that seemed to had been opened. Smart Detect is a design defect.

TLDR: Smart Detect is not so smart when you put frozen contents in the container, causing the blender machine to not detect the container due to a design defect of the RFID in the container. My mom purchased a Vitamix back in the 90's way before they were every sold at Costco and it is still going strong. Because of my childhood experience of the old school Vitamix blender, when it came for me to purchase my own, from Costco, I was sorely disappointed! I wanted to make mango sorbet, so when I put in some diced frozen mangoes from Trader Joe's into the containter, the blender gave me 3 dashes "---" I finally figured it out that after using another container AER that had not been used, the blender sense that container. I removed the frozen mangoes and called it day. I realized after testing again, the container after it went back to room temperature was detected. After some trial and error, it is obvious that the RFID on the container is easily affected by frozen contents placed inside the container causing the blender to not detect the container. The Smart Detect is NOT SO SMART. Thank goodness for Costco's return policy. I may consider a Vitamix blender without the new smart technology, but my impression of Vitamix has diminished significantly in regards to design and quality. I want to support "Made in USA" but this put a bad taste in my mouth with the high price and poor experience.

Not sure what happened to the quality control on these products. They used to be the industry standard and reliable, but that's no longer the case (for me anyway). I got this blender primarily to use the single serve blending base accessory with the 20oz cups. I use it about 3x/day. The blending base for the single serve is faulty - something to do with bad bearings/manufacturing issue. If you know, you know, but suffice it to say, this sort of poor quality control is unacceptable. Vitamix has NO solution for this issue. There is an active recall, but the recall doesn't address the blending base fault. They offered to send one of their new colored pitchers, but that is a pure gimmick and doesn't help based on how I use the blender and why I purchased it. So now, I have a $600 blender that I can't use for the sole reason I purchased it. Lots of fancy new products of late from them, but if I had to do it all again I'd stick with the professional old school series. The overall quality of their products has fallen off a cliff, trading the parts that matter for bells and whistles that break down. The Ascent blender just feels cheap. It's like they're leveraging the brand identity and past quality to sell sub par products now for more profit. Sign of the times. Customer service has been surprisingly lacking and very disappointing over this as well - was told that there is no solution and I couldn't exchange the blender (I bought through Amazon and they weren't able to do anything either) even though I am within the 3 year warranty period. Just for comparison, when my, albeit less expensive, Ninja blender had issues they sent me a brand new upgraded model replacement, no questions asked. I thought I was buying a superior product with Vitamix. Not so much.
