Vittoria Terreno Mix Wire Tyre - Black
The Vittoria Terreno Mix wire bead tyre is suitable for gravel biking and cyclocross, and contains an all-round tread. The Vittoria Terreno Mix is great for cyclocross training and gravel use. This is partly due to the properties of a wire bead tyre, which is generally much more hard-wearing and puncture-resistant than the folding tyre version. This tread has long been the all-round tread for changing conditions in cyclocross and is therefore also very suitable for gravel biking. It offers an optimal relationship between grip and speed. And can be used on many different surfaces, such as gravel paths, forest trails and on grassy stretches.

Brought these tyres as I noticed the experienced members in my cyclocross club had them.Had the Panaracer summer type tyres which had been brilliant but at soon as you try to ride camber, mud, steep ramps they just did not provide the grip.Very impressed with these tyres so far, also they have great puncture protection with the right tubeless sealant running in them.

Was already impressed with the Terreno Dry gravel tyres in summer, but when I fitted some old Continental CX tyres for winter I started picking up a lot of hawthorne punctures, so fitted these and went tubeless. They possibly didn't feel quite as fast as the paper thin Conti tyres, but they feel bombproof (similar to the Terreno Dry) and obviously tubeless lets me run slightly lower pressures. They grip well in the mud, it takes some pretty serious gradient or pedal mashing to spin them out, and cornering is predictable and fun, you can pretty much make them slide round anything if you want to. No punctures to date and the one big wack I gave them off a rock I didn't see (big enough to ding the rim) doesn't seem to have even scuffed the sidewall.Am considering ... MoreWas already impressed with the Terreno Dry gravel tyres in summer, but when I fitted some old Continental CX tyres for winter I started picking up a lot of hawthorne punctures, so fitted these and went tubeless. Great tyre for most conditions. Rolls well on the road, grippy off except in deep mud. Lasted about 2500 miles on the rear, 3000 on the front. Tubeless seals up easily with a track pump

Not fitted yet but tread looks good for road and off road. Quite hefty if you are used to lightweight road tyres. Price from Freewheel was great though as tubeless tend to be £40+ Collection from LBS. worked well.
Great tyre for providing mountain bike style grip in a gravel bike package. Rolls much faster on tarmac than a mtb tyre would yet grips well in mud and on wet grass. I'm running this tyre as a front only with the 'dry' version on the rear and that seems a good combination.I'm also running this tyre tubeless and had no issues seating or sealing it, works great on my Hunt wheels.
Running tubeless this tire is excellent, great in most conditions. Works well in mud as designed but also rolls amazingly fast on pavement. Very good on loose gravel, dry, and slightly moist earth. Maybe not the quickest in grass but very good. Also very puncture resistant. Called a "wet" tire but really a great all-rounder as well.
I was worried when ordering coz’ the detailed webpage says Black/Anthracite (grey sidewall), when you get to check out, or when details are shown in brief, it only says Black, but I can confirm that I received a Black with Anthracite sidewall tyre on delivery. This is a great tyre at a great price, smooth running on tarmac, grippy on dry gravel, ok in wet but like it says on the tin, this is not gonna grind you through inches of mud, it will slip in muddy conditions but for general gravel it’s a great tyre.
These tires mount easily, have proven durable on sharp rocky training rides and decent in sloppy mub. The rolling resistance isn't quite as good a cotton tubulars, but then again I wouldn't expect them to be. Easy to use and durable.
This tire is surprisingly amazing and confident. Vittoria has tires dialed after so many years in the business. I run this tire tubeless with some Orange Seal. The bead to rim is tight and needed tire levers to install but felt great once I got them on. I was able to use a floor pump to get these sealed up on my Roval rims. This tire felt great on day 1 and day 2 of Fayettecross...both days had completely opposite conditions. Very happy to have these tires. I have ran Specialized Terra's and Tracer's for CX, the Vittoria Terreno Mix definitely balance these two tires. I'll be keeping them on for awhile.
The tire is OK, typical Vittoria?s product. My complain is the size; it was virtually impossible to put it on a standard Fulcrum rim with two hands (never happened to me). I had to ask a friend?s help, and it took 15 min of massaging and stretching it + a gallon of sweat to figure out how to pull it on the rim. I do understand why they do that: once it is on the rim, it is really easy to pump it tubeless even with regular pump, and it will hold the air very well. But it could be a real problem, if you will have to deal with this tire alone in the middle of nowhere.
