I needed a good fan. I researched the heck out of fans that are suitable for my needs. I figured this was the right choice by what I read in reviews. What a good decision! Awesome fan! So powerful! Setting 1,2 and 3 are quite quiet, and yes the 4th setting is significantly louder than the 3rd. But that’s good for me! I like that white noise for sleeping, and I say if you’re in need of super power wind, 4th setting is awesome! I also look at the 4th option as a bonus setting, most fans I’ve had in the past has only had 3 settings. And visually, very pleasing! The way it turns all the way up, it’s amazing. I splurged, and definitely don’t regret it! I’ll be buying a standing Vornado when my current one kicks the bucket!

It just sits in its own category by itself, and I have to go into it manually.So all in all, I'm not sorry I own this fan, and I'm grateful for some of its more advanced capabilities. But I do wish some slight adjustments could be made (downward tilt, and a remote control) that would make it the perfect fan I expected it to be.

This device is the best air circulator I have used. It is powerful, of course, and can move a lot of air around even in a big room if set to its maximum speed. But the flip side of this is that it is very quiet at its minimum speed, and is still reasonably effective. Consider it both for big rooms and small ones.I also own a Vornado 630, and it is distinctly inferior; it is noisier at low levels and less effective at high levels. Of course, it's cheaper too, but you definitely get benefits for the extra cash.

I have used this fan for a few years now. The fan works ok, but over time the plastic front and base sections have changed colors dramatically and no longer look white. They are more yellow or tan. At the same time the back of the fan has stayed bright white. It looks awful, and is more noticeable in pn person than in the photos.Customer service told me since the fan is functional it is not covered under warranty. They suggested perhaps it was caused by smoking in the house, or pollution I don't smoke, and the solution idea is ridiculous. If you pay a premium price for a fan like this I expect a better product, and better customer service.

There are 3 higher speeds to cool down my hot bedroom mid morning as the sun pours into the windows. The air has gotten very cool in my currently warm, stuffy bedroom with 2 large windows facing the hot east morning sun. Cooler air from fan makes it easier for me to breathe since I have allergies. Air flow = gentle on speed 1. Can definitely feel the air flowing around me, and blowing my hair a little. Gently whirring. Buying another one for my living room. Goal - to not turn on my a/c this summer, if possible. Giving this a 4 until I use it for a few weeks. The Vornado 660 is a great fan. I saw that it was in stock at a local Best Buy and bought it there. The lowest speed is so quiet that you can forget that's on except for the fact that it produces a nice gentle breeze. I don't have an enormous bedroom but it cools it off better than any fan I have used before. I place my fan on the floor, put it on the highest setting and point it towards the ceiling (as recommended by the instructions) and I get breezes bouncing from all different directions. (I also have a small green metal one. I bought it online from Target. It works well and it's cute. I have had it for over 2 years.)
I spent a lot of time researching different types of fans and air conditioners. The Vornado especially stood out. I was looking for something that was powerful and cool me down quick in this hot summer heat. My room is in the attic and it's at least 10 degrees warmer than the downstairs portion of the house.So I decided to get the Vornado 660, the larger size, and am extremely pleased with it. It cools me down instantaneously in 90-100 degree weather. I use it as a fan because I like the cool air on me. I have yet to use it as a whole room air circulator, but have read excellent reviews regarding this. I highly recommend the Vornado 660!
I took this thing out of the box, stood in front of it, plugged it and turned it on. I was not impressed. I immediately felt like I just spent way too much money on a fan that blows no faster than my $30 fan. However, I put it in the living room, aimed it at the ceiling to see if I noticed any difference. I DID notice a difference. No matter where I stood in the room, I could feel air blowing across me. I have no idea how it works, since it doesn't appear to be blowing stronger, but somehow, it pushes the air further, so air does circulate through the whole room. As for the Alexa pairing, that was a snap once I figured out the code I was supposed to scan is on the fan itself, not the box.
