All the rest (distance, speed, pace, etc.) you can get even from GPS via dedicated app, but cadence (plus HR) is the key to effective training and Blue SC is the best choice!

I thought this device is great, but unfortunately it is not. Problem that I have is, the sensor give me the wrong data. Once I pedal my bike, the speed recorded was 400 kph which was really impossible. it was hard to connect to android device. after auto resting it is hard to connect again or it takes a really long time to activate the sensor again. There were several times the connection cannot be done, I don't know why, but the sensor is on, and it did not connect to another device either.I have reported it, idont know this device was really not good, or the one that I got has some defect. but I have upgraded it to the newest firmware. however they give me the great waranty. I generally like the wahoo product line and bought this with the Tickr Fit HRM to "upgrade" my 5 year old Garmin sensors. Guess I didn't do my homework as I found the Speed/Cadence unit to be much less appealing than the more simple designed Garmin Sensors. Don't like the setup and little magnet on the spokes thing. Seems a bit of a throw-back approach? The Blue SC my work just fine, but I am still using the simple Garmins on my bike!

My old SC sensor lasted about 19-12 years. The only thing wrong was the battery compartment seal wore out allowing water inside, and it stopped working. I like Wahoo a fitness sensors and other equipment for the simple installation and setup. The price point is acceptable, too.
Out of the box, the Blue SC is easy to set up. Just follow the enclosed instructions. Remember to pair it to Wahoo Fitness app and/or the bike's head unit before strapping it on the chain stay.Once on, getting it to activate is a trial and error. The sensors need proximity - anything that's wider than half a centimetre means you lose connectivity. I had to readjust mine a couple of times before I could reliably obtain speed and cadence readings at the same time.Also, if you're using them for outdoor cycling, don't accidentally knock the Blue SC's position - you'll lose connectivity with the head unit. I'm looking forward to trying the setup on Zwift at some point. Works fine & a good price.Minor issue is fitting to the bike, however with enough tie-wraps & a little gaffer tape this was fine. I mention that only becasuse the design of bike components has changed so much over the decades. The Blue SC comes with an elastic band to hold the cadence magnet on the crank arm. Modern day crank arms big, chunky things that weigh nothing. My 26 year old Grafton crank arm is very slender and delicate looking. The elastic band for the cadence magnet is designed for the big chunky arms, not slender ones. It was impossible to get the magnet to stay in place. Imagine if a small child put on his dad's wrist watch. Or his dad's hat. THAT much too big. I'm trying the band for now, but again, the GT's slender chain stays will probably require zip ties. Next, pairing the Blue SC with my Wahoo Roam computer head unit was super easy.I called customer support about the cadence magnet issue and they were helpful, offering a workaround which could have worked but didn't. Still, I found customer support very responsive and willing to help.
Bought to replace standard Wahoo speed and cadence sensors because the Mount perished on the speed sensor (replacements all out of stock) and the cadence sensor didn’t ever properly fit on my pedal - the clearance on my Canyon is very limited. This fits better and looks. Eat but the clearance is still only just big enough. The rubber fitting of the main unit isn’t very secure and it’s fallen off once already so have had to deploy the dreaded zip tie for extra security but the sensors work well even if I seem to have to remind my Bolt they are there.

It does everything I need it to, and that's all.If you like to record directly with another app, eg. for live logging, or if you use Cyclometer or something else self-contained like that, you can still do that.However, it is convenient to always record with the same app, so you always have all our data in one place.

I have never owned any Wahoo devices, but have heard great things from those who have made the jump. Connected to my Garmin quickly, very intuitive.My only concern is the rubber strap that hold the senor to the chain stay. On my Tarmac it is stretched pretty tight. You can also use zip ties if needed. But I don't like the look of zip ties, plus not aero enough on the rollers.
