Best mouth action ever!

Bit of a learning curve at first

This product was recommended by my hygienist. Regular floss wasn't reaching areas of implants, however I still use regular floss before the waterpik. The waterpik still removes any remaining particles. A little learning curve to it's use in the start. Careful of the on switch, kind of a hair trigger and if not held right will spray all over if you're not ready. Like pressure washing between your teeth. Plenty of power and good time between recharges. I like the brush tip as I can feel where I'm at. That tip is also recommended for my situation. Be ready and over a sink and using it becomes second nature. Really surprised at what my flossing was missing.

Change is tricky, but worth it!

I like the new WP-580, especially the additional speed choice compared to my previous water pik.It works great and seems to keep a stronger charge than my previous water pik. Since I use my new WP-580 twice daily, it needs to be charged once a week, just like my previous Water Pik, which was also portable and rechargeable.My only negative comment is that it is not possible to stand the unit upright to air-dry after using, unless you keep the water chamber in place and connected, but you must remove the chamber to shake out excess water after using, so both parts will air dry. I keep the water chamber separate and with the flap open to air dry when I am finished using it as well.Overall, I am very happy with the new WP-580; it just takes a little getting used to after using my original one for 3 years, before I had to replace it.

Design That Leaks

I purchased the WP-580 in 2023 last year. Although it says it is waterproof and can be used in the shower, it is not leakproof and leaks after each use all over my countertop. I called customer support and the person said there was a lot of complaints about the leakage and would send a new reservoir to correct the problem. Unfortunately, the new reservoir leaked as well. I called customer service again, and was told that the reservoir will leak unless you detach it and let it drain after each use. The is nothing in the directions that tells you to detach the reservoir after each use. This is an inconvenient and poor design, as it is difficult to detach the reservoir. Also, I suggest you don’t put it under your vanity because it will leak.

Disappointed in this model. But Love the Aquarius

As a dental hygienist I was very excited to receive my new waterpik. Unfortunately it fell very short compared to my previous Aquarius countertop version. First off, this model is not nearly as powerful as other models. I was unable to maneuver this device like I had hoped. it needs to stay vertical at all times or it will suck air. Due to the required vertical direction it also causes the used water to run all down the unit while in use. And I feel the water reservoir does not hold enough for my liking. I LOVE the countertop Waterpiks with the corded pik. I can adapt it to any angle and not have water running down the device. And the large reservoir does not run out before finishing the entire mouth. Good with inconvenient design flaws

I ordered this product for at home use, not necessarily for travel, because if does not take as much counter space as the larger models. For flossing it works fine. There are a few design flaws however. The on/off button is located such that when holding the unit where it is designed to be held, it is very easy to accidentally hit the on/off button causing water to spray in unintended directions. The water reservoir is difficult to remove and replace, especially if your hands are wet at all, which they naturally are when using the product.

Love Hate

I really wanted to love using this waterpik and whilst it has some pros it hasn’t lived up to my expectations unfortunately. The unit is modern and easy to put together. The attachments for different types of cleaning are easy to fit. Filling the container with water is very simple and because it’s cordless and chargeable it’s easy to use on the go and without a plug socket in the bathroom. It’s not too heavy to hold and easy to keep clean and store.I found it a little bulky to hold as it’s quite large at the base as this holds the water. I had some difficulty positioning it correctly at first as you have to lean over the sink with your head down, so the water can escape your mouth when using it. Charging and battery life is good.The one thing that I found really disappointing is how many times I had to refill with water for one mouth clean. I did follow instructions and maybe it’s my technique but it just seems to use a lot of water. I don’t want to keep taking it apart to refill whilst I’m in the bathroom. It becomes less convenient. I’ll practice more and will hopefully not use as much but for now this is my opinion. I really hope over time it’ll change as I get used to it because in theory this is a fantastic product for home use.

Maybe should have sprung for bigger unit.

Not exactly portable. Does the job, I guess. I don't own a full sized version to compare but got this to help with my maintenance for my Invisalign liners. I have medium sized hands but find myself gripping around the controls -- so the settings change even though I'm just holding the unit. Also, the on-off is hard to find at the top when you have the jet ready to go. The charger is magnetic but the force is not that strong so it can fall off easily. Literature says longer charging intervals than I have experienced. Still, I think it does the job though not perfect by any means.
