It does what it is suppose to, but makes this clunky sound every few minutes even when I am not accessing it. Seems like the drive/disk is continuously spinning, which gets very annoying as it sits on my desk. I probably access files on it once or twice a day, but the thing keeps going like it is being accessed all the time. Really annoying.

It does what it is suppose to, but makes this clunky sound every few minutes even when I am not accessing it. My previous storage device (Non-WD) finally died on me so I had to get a replacement. After doing my research, I settled on this unit because it had the capacity I needed and the features I wanted. I haven't regretted the decision. This unit is faster than I thought it would be, powers on and off with my system as expected, and was easy to setup as a mirrored device for added protection. No regrets!

Your hard drive keeps telling me I have a problem with the RAID configuration and there is nothing wrong with it! Very frustrating, AND this on top of one of your Element 10TB drives losing a password and therefore I LOST ALL MY PHOTOGRAPHY!!! This may well be my tenth and final WD Drive ever...
The drive was unstable and 1 drive failed right out of the box
the device is very slow and the USB C not compatible with MAC
