I really love this grill, but I’m going to pick it apart because I don’t think it’s useful to just praise a product. It’s sturdy, well built, and heats very evenly. The size is also perfect for me. I was looking for something that could sit on top of a table I made, and this thing is so large I was able to sell my three burner genesis from the early 2000s.That being said, here are the things that annoy me about this grill. First, the lip around the edge is too short. When I clean the grill at the beginning of each cook, all of the chunks fly off the back and land all over my deck. Second, the handle Is too small. I have grabbed the hot lid several times since owning it. I used to have the smaller 1200 series, and the handle on that was much larger. Finally, after just two cooks, the middle burner would only light up halfway. If you blew on it real hard, it would light up the rest of the way. I just finished taking it all apart and cleaning it. We will see if that helps. All that being said, I still love this grill. It can do anything!

This grill is a bit bigger and heavier than I expected from a portable grill. The build quality is very robust though. That's a trade off I'm willing to make. The paint color is bright and vibrant. I really like how the plastic side shelves can be stowed in slots below the grill. The enameled grates are nice to cook on but are somewhat difficult to clean up. The most important part of this grill is the burner assembly. The precise controls allow you to dial in a specific cooking temperature. I love the addition of the + burner that allows you to get the grill hot enough to sear well, or cook very low and slow. I think I may have to invest in the stand this goes on as I'll likely be replacing my old household grill with this one and would appreciate a dedicated base.

I have been grilling for many years and decided to get a smaller grill because there are only of us . This is a whole new experience. My first attempt I stuck chicken to the grill even though I sprayed it with oil. I also bought the half griddle and first time I stuck burgers and a hot dog to the griddle. I have experimented a few times since and found that anything higher than the lowest setting will stick to the grill and griddle. Grilling rolls is a challenge, 1-2 minutes and they are done. I miss the top rack for heating rolls or doing fatty chicken thighs . I’m not sure what I can cook at a high temperature. I’m still learning and experimenting. It’s a whole new experience. Time will tell. The grill heats up very quickly, which is good. Final decision, TBD

Bought a month or so ago with stand. Stand was a little confusing for the average person to assemble.I like the grill for its quality and cook ability. I am, however disappointed in the temperature range. It does a great job with even heat distribution on the plates and is large enough for roasting,etc.. The problem is, however, at the lowest setting it maintains a temperature of 350 degrees. This makes it impossible to use the “low and slow” method of cooking items such as ribs, pulled pork, etc., which is something I so frequently! At this price, I find this to be a problem. I am a 25yr experienced kitchen mgr! Also, the rotisserie add-on is far too expensive for the limited use it would get!If it weren’t so cumbersome to prepare for returning for refund, I ... MoreBought a month or so ago with stand. This was the perfect upgrade from my Q1000 with stand. I needed more grilling space but didn't want to lose the quality grilling experience. The Q2800 is larger but still has the same great construction. I went with the charcoal finish so it will look better longer. This is the perfect grill for a couple or small family. Assembly was easy and the quality of the parts is high. There are a couple areas that can be improved...the side tables detach but there is no place to store them. I thought they would hang on the base just as the grates can, but instead I have to store them inside the base. Also, they need to have a proper cover for it. I was lucky that my Q1000 cover fit, although its not long enough. Tried ordering one from Weber or other sites but apparently ... MoreThis was the perfect upgrade from my Q1000 with stand. I bought this grill for my son and daughter-in-law. They use it almost every day and rant and rave about how much they love it. They love the super low temp or high temp 2 burner feature for searing steaks or slow cooking chicken.I’ve had Weber products for years and have been happy, looks like this one is a huge hit with the kid’s.I’m the one who assembled it and the packaging and directions were phenomenal. You can really see the quality and sturdiness of this grill throughout the assembly. What drove me towards this grill was my 20+ year old q120 still on its original stainless burner & cooking grate. The things just seem bullet proof. This project is just a little more pricey than cheap throw away grills but when you consider the build quality and longevity ... MoreI bought this grill for my son and daughter-in-law. I had a Weber Q grill for about 17 years and I loved it. Then one day I left it on to burn off the residue from cooking for about an hour. When I went to shut it down it had over-heated and melted the connection to the frame. It was toast. Literally. So I went online and ordered a replacement. The newer models looked different from my older one, but it appeared the Q 2800N was the closest in size to what I wanted. So that's what I ordered. It came very well packaged, with directions that were easy to follow. This new grill was indeed the same size as the one I was replacing and it fit on my old stand and I was able to use my old cover as well. I grilled some burgers on and I found the thermometer and extra burner to be very useful. Glad I bought it.
I purchased the Q 2800 N+ for its ability with the 2nd burner, to cook low and slow and smoke my meats! Was looking foreword to the future purchase of the Rotisserie accessory for the Q+.Impossible without the convection trays and trivitBUT……. I cannot buy the accessories needed here in the USA to use these great features.Namely Weber Q smoker box and trivet set#1500336.I tried to order from Weber NZ & Australia where the accessories for are readily available. BUT they will not sell to me because of my USA addressSo I ask Weber “ what good is it for me, at 73 years old, trusting the Weber brand we have used fir over 30 years in addition to having spent over $800 for the Q2800N+ when you refuse to sell me the accessoroes I need for low and slow cooking??????
Shipping box was packed very well and assembly was easy. I really like the size and overall design of the grill. Grill heats quickly and temperature seems evenly distributed across the grilling area. Food cooks quickly with great grill marks.Only issue was that I initially opened the LP tank too quickly so I had to reset the regulator to restore gas flow. Not a problem I just need to remember to open the LP slowly.Only complaint is the detachable side tables. When I ordered the grill I didn't think this would be an issue, but it turns out that it bothers me more than I anticipated. Weber grills are well designed and engineered and I would like to see Weber develop a retrofit that would allow the tables to be folded down when not in use.
We have a relatively small deck and this grill is perfect for our space. It doesn't take up too much space and the design doesn't seem to make it the center point of deck. It blends in very nicely.I've had this grill about one month and in WI weather I've made use of it only 5-6 times. That's enough to know that I like this grill. Generally, I'm cooking for only 2 people and this grill has plenty of room for our needs. However, I'm confident that I could add more food if needed when we have company. At first I had trouble getting used to the dual burner controls. However, now I find them easy to use. They give more control over the proper cooking temperature. The main burner circles the grill leaving a smaller center area for the 2nd burner. I would prefer having the ability to grill only on one side of the grill for some foods while turning off the burner on the other side. This grill doesn't offer that.Another grilling option I've always been used to is to have a 2nd level cooking surface for some foods that don't need to be on the direct heat. I was able to find an expandable piece with a raised surface that fits perfectly under the hood and still allows direct cooking under it.For a smaller space and cooking for a small group, this is a perfect grilling option. I highly recommend it.
