It almost fits perfect. When I push down hard to clean the surface it will slip and fall onto the flavorizer bars. It does do great on grilling onions, mushrooms for the smash burgers. Glad I purchased it.

This actually can fit into a smaller Weber girl, you just have to remove one grate and place the other grate in the middle of the grill so it is level. I tried another cast iron skillet but didn't get the even cooking surface this provides. Chicken cooks great moist, no more rubbery texture. Even cooked a grilled cheese with ham and egg sandwich, which made an interesting breakfast adventure.

I have used seasoned cast iron griddles on top of grill grates for years with great success and easy clean up. But decided to spring for this custom fit Griddle to go with my new Genesis II S-345. It is very possibly the worst Weber grill accessory I’ve ever purchased. The porcelain enamel surface is very difficult to clean. I followed instructions and allowed grill to preheat and oiled food, not griddle, but still find that food sticks and removing the residual mess is not as simple as spaying on some water in scraping. It requires using a non-abrasive scour pad and Dawn dishwashing soap to get it clean. Would be so much better if this was made using seasoned cast iron rather than porcelain enamel. This is, in my opinion, a design defect.

The griddle cooks very well but the fit is not very good. I have tried on a few occasions to see if maybe I was doing something wrong. It just does not fit with either being wobbly or not balanced. I ended up just sitting it on top of the grates to see how it cooked. A bit disappointed in the fit.
I’ve used this griddle a few times now on my grill. It heats up quick and food cooks evenly. There is a slot at one end to help with cleanup. It’s heavy duty and well made.
Well made and heavy. Fits grill perfectly. Used a couple times for smash burgers. Got griddle to 425 with burners on medium heat but as soon as I put 3 burgers on heat dropped to 325 and from then on no good sears on the burgers that came after. Cleaning is tough. They are heavy, in fact so heavy my wife couldn’t maneuver them to clean. Not a sexist comment, just letting you know that it pretty hard to through them around in the sink. Would like to just scrape them and steam them with water but the instructions explicitly so don’t do this. I actually ended sending them back and bought a blackstone to add to my cooking options. Love my Weber grill but these griddles really didn’t work for our needs.
After buying my Genesis® II E-410 Gas Grill I knew I wanted a griddle due to it's size and always wanting to cook everything with gas especially during the warm months. It is very well made, heavy which means it keeps a good temp after pulling food on it. Due to the slight slant towards the grease trap I use spray olive oil and it works out well. I have cooked chicken thighs, vegetables, and blackened fish with it with very good results. To clean I leave grill on for 10 minutes on high and use a scotch brite pad with water. I wish it was maybe another 1/2" deeper to get it closer to the flame. Pro tip if using in cold weather bring it in the house to warm it up. Overall love it.
I have a beautiful Weber grill but thought I would save money on a cheaper griddle. BIG MISTAKE! The Weber griddle has a fabulous design and is sooo well made! The other one… not so much…. I will be giving the off brand one away! Night & day difference! You will NOT regret buying this product, worth every penny!!!
Solidly built, great heat retention, great finish. This thing is fun to cook on and makes great food! I’m thankful to have the half insert and half regular grill on my Genesis 300. If I need the entire grill, I can pop out the insert and put the grates back down. The shape is odd. It looks like they could have made it another 1-2 inches larger and I would have appreciated that extra space but it’s just big enough for me to make food for 4-5 people. I’m still figuring out where to set the heat on it and I figure that will be a process. So far I love it!
I do not know what I did wrong. The pamphlet that came with the griddle said to pre-wash with warm soapy water. I did this. The Weber website says to season the griddle. I did not do this, because I don’t think you’re supposed to do this with enameled cast iron. I grilled bell pepper and onion strips. They turned out perfect. But it looks like the griddle is forever stained from the experience. I tried the warm soapy water, but there are still stains and a stickiness that l think will eventually become rust spots. Again, not sure what I did wrong. I can’t believe Weber would manufacture a product that looks horrible after one use.
