Wellness Core Grain Free Puppy Formula Dry Dog Food - 1.8kg

I have an Australian Shepard, he's about 9 months old; since he was able to eat dry food until about 4 months old when we tried this food, we couldn't figure out why he was having loose stools several times a day EVERY DAY. His vet couldn't figure it out either. After doing some breed searching we saw that other aussie owners had similar problems with tummy issues and noted that it was a food issue. I must have spends hundreds of dollars with many many brands until we narrowed it down that he couldn't have any grain whatsoever. Also no wet food. This is the only brand that he can eat without loose stools or vomiting. Best dry food

Ive tried so many brands on my 6 month old pitbull and my 8 year old chihuahua. They were on Purina pro plan before and it gave them diarrhea. They had lower energy and I could tell their stomachs werent Handling the food well. As soon as I switched to wellness core they loved the taste and their energy went up, and their stools were finally normal. My pudgy chihuahua even leaned out because of the high protein. Now they constantly play with each other which my chihuahua would just sleep all day before. I cant say enough good things about this food. Buy it! Its worth the money and your dog will thank u!

Dogs behind was stained and he shed profusely!

I have had my American bulldog on this food since he was three months old when I got him, I didn’t really notice anything wrong until someone mentioned that he’s behind shouldn’t look that dirty all the time, then I also thought that insane shedding and need for baths twice a week could also be linked to the poor nutrition in the food. Since switching him to Nutrena loyal life salmon recipe I have seen his coat improve almost immediately and his Hiney is looking much cleaner. And since switching to a different brand his farts have really improved, they no longer clear out the room. I saw nothing wrong with his coarse hair but I’m so glad that I switched and no longer feed him this food. The food that I like that I have switched him to is not even half the price, in my opinion this food is way too expensive to have the issues that I have experienced.

Good but !!

Bought this food because of the great reviews and the fact that its grain free. Good quality and healthy. My 3 month old puppy loves it ! Reading the ingredients I noticed that peas, lentils and potatoes are added. I have doberman pup and those ingredients are harmful to dobermans and can cause DCM. Going back to Victor has recommended by breeder.

Great Product, just not for us!

After getting our puppy who had originally been on Kirkland puppy food, we switched to wellness core because it was rated one of the best dog foods. However, we noticed that our puppy struggled to adjust to it. She wouldn’t eat out of her dog bowl so we thought that was the problem so we switched the dog bowl. But even then she still seemed hesitant with the food. She’d only eat one piece at a time and she hardly ever finished a full meal which was on 1/4 a cup 3 times a day. We decided to switch her food to Hills Science diet puppy food and she devours it and then cries for more. Not sure if the size of the food was too big or she didn’t like the taste, but for us we just didn’t have success with this brand of dog food. Puppy Wellness Core

I bought this product only because it is grain-free. I’m not sure if that is the best thing. Reading what is says on the package seems very healthy and again I don’t know if it healthy. I brought it home to introduce to my new puppy. He seems to like it more than the Victor brand. I like the fact that my puppy is eating like ‘he likes it’….we also use the same food for training. I am happy with the Wellness Core for my puppy. Hope my puppy will like the adult Wellness Core in the future.

Puppy loves it!

I bought this food according to customer review and my puppy loves it! Unfortunately, after reading further reviews, it appears that grain-free foods may be affecting dogs with dilated cardiomegaly. This scares me, and I’m not sure I want to continue buying this type of food. That is the reason I gave it 4 stars. Otherwise, my little puppy has no trouble eating it!

Quality for a reasonable price!

When the product arrived I was sceptical, I have very very fussy animals and have been caught out before with expensive exceptional quality products, that my pet refused to eat!Instantly my first impression was that I was impressed! The packaging was impressive, the ingredients top quality. I opened the packet and shadow instantly attempted to eat the small amount I gave him to pre try. First full bowl all gone quickly! All I can say is success!!! I have now served this to him on five seperate occasions and each time there has been no product left! I will not hesitate to buy this product again.

so much for such a tiny pup

Yikes.I guess 11kg worth of puppy food is a lot for a tiny 1.3kg pupper. This was my bad.She loves this and its so good especially since she's teething the crunching helps with her sore gums when combined with pet cubes wet food.Life Hack: Good thing I was able to section the bag by using baking paper and ironing it down to seal in the kibble.
