My cat is not big on fish and given the problems with mercury, etc, that's not a big concern. Still, I wanted some variety in her diet as she gets tired of her favorite Merrick Backcountry rabbit. This is a good 1X or 2X week option to put in the rotation. Also Weruva is great about testing for mercury, histamines and polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) which is much appreciated.

So I guess I can't always go by good reviews.. My kitty has never in my entire time having her been picky.. well not this picky! This product is amazing in looks and overall quality. She needs a healthy diet and this was and still is so promising for that ideal healthy food you are looking for, however MOO MOO will not even touch it. I am not sure why or what I have done wrong, but she will not even give it a try. Makes me upset that she is actually starving herself to not eat it. Trying something new now.. wish me luck! Don't let this detour you away just because of my kitty. I just find it odd her doing that and I have NEVER had her do it... Her Highness Hannah Mae can be a most demanding (but adorable) RagDoll, but she loves, loves, loves this food and she really puts on the charm when she wants to eat! We've had a problem with her gaining weight on some of the other foods we tried, but I think she's starting to lose a bit of that "poundage" already which is great! And, no "oooops" on the floor after she eats. The really awesome thing is her energy level...she's six and starting to play again like a year old kitten! My kitties have gastrointestinal issues and are on medicated hard food.This particular soft food they love and it cuts down on their eating so much of the hard food. Thankfully their bathroom habits have improved with Weruva.Weruva really helped! It’s full of vitamins and minerals to keep my babies healthy.They aren’t fond of the other flavors but love, love, love this one!!I highly recommend this food for finicky cats!!
I have a senior, very finicky cat and she loves her "1 If By Land, 2 If By Sea" cat food. It's soupy and has lots of juice along with shredded beef, tuna and salmon. Some cats may not like too much juice, but my older cat prefers a soupy consistency. This food also has all the nutrients that cats need (esp. taurine), so I don't need to supplement her diet when she's eating this every day. Highly recommend.
We have a fussy ginger male who is prone to pancreatitis and inflammatory bowel. It was difficult finding something he could and WOULD eat. He is very happy with Cats in the Kitchen foods.
My picky cat loves this flavor! She'll eat it all up and especially loves the gravy. But I have two complaints that made me give it 4 stars instead of 5. First, as other said, the pouches are hard to use and a bit messy, especially if feed half in the morning and half at night. Storing it properly in the fridge is much harder than if this was in a can. Second, I don't know if it's just my cat but she sometimes struggles to lick up the larger chunks from the bowl. If I notice her struggling, I'll pick up the bigger chunks and hand feed them to her.

They perk up when I select a stew for their evening meal, and, without fail, they serenade me with their kitty chorus as I scoop it into their dishes. This is just what it says it is ~ chicken in pumpkin soup! The majority of cats ~ and dogs! ~ are crazy about that kind of flavor! My cats, Celine and Dewi, certainly are, and my Chihuahua, who is extremely particular, can't get enough of Pumpkin Lickin' Chicken, either! My cat, Celine, licks up the pumpkin soup so fast it's hilarious!I cook Zander organic chicken and fresh salmon several times a week since he rejects most dog food (I know other people with Chihuahuas are laughing!)but he can't get enough of this! That's saying quite a lot! I, myself, am vegan, but I'm tempted to eat some Pumpkin Lickin' Chicken every time I put it in 3 little plates for Celine, Dewi, and Zander! :)
This USED to be his favorite. Now he won't eat it. The recipe changes from light brown to dark brown food. We have gone back and forth on this product twice. Now I have wasted too much $$ trying to see if this is the recipe he likes. I won't bother with it anymore. It's a shame because it is such a high quality food.
